I'd say it's a amazingly good choice to try a local stay in Bangkok. House located in community and surrounded by regular people houses, so you would get real view, sound and smell of being in Thailand. Our host was more than passionate to have us as guests and provided everything we were in need, from arranging taxi to/from airport if requested, laundry service, water supply, tour advices, you name it. Also, there is cozy thai bistro with live music on Fridays very close to the house, so you won't need to worry where to find a place for lunch or dinner. 7-11 stores are about 5 min walk from the place. The only thing you need to be notified about is that canal on which house is located is used as boat rides road from morning to evening. During the night place is totally quiet.

A beautifully restored 2-bed canal side property just off the Chao Praya River in the heart of Bangkok. Nestled in amongst wonderfully authentic tumble-down canal side life, this property has been beautifully restored (well, actually rebuilt) to provide a simple authentic Thai water-side experience. With life all around, including the amazing Temple just behind, this is a great location to immerse yourself in real traditional Thai life. Also, enjoy the walking tour to see the magical locations nearby, including the secret historic Portuguese Quarter. Recommended!

Real "canal life" experience. Close to top attractions. Helpful host.”
The property is clean, bright, and well-maintained. We were pretty impressed with the bathroom and olden days decors, considering how old the neighborhood looks. Since it's right next to a canal, noise from the motor boat is inevitable but it didn't bother us that much. The host is local and he knows the area really well. Temple of Dawn (Wat Arun) is a short walk away . We can take a ferry for Wat Arun pier to visit other attractions like Grand Palace and Wat Pho. There were a lot street food stalls and local restaurants around the property.

Ohm (le propriétaire) a guidé notre taxi jusqu'à sa maison.. maison au bord des klongs très charmantes, cependant les bateaux qui passent sont très bruyants le matin. quartier typique sans touriste et c'est ce que nous voulions. 부모님과 처음으로하는 해외여행이라 숙소고민이 많았습니다 현지분위기속에 스며들수있는 숙소를 고르고 골라 머물게되었는데 결과적으로 대만족입니다:) 수상가옥에 머문다는게 이색적이었고 너무나도 아름다운 집이었습니다 방콕에 머문 약 일주일의 시간동안 가장 기억에 남는 시간이었으며 잊지 못할 추억을 만들게되어 매우 기쁘게생각합니다 비싸고 화려한 호텔도 좋지만 현지인들의 삶을 가까이서 체험해보고싶으신분들께 특히 강추하는곳입니다! 그리고 호스트분 매우 쿨하고 친절하십니다 맛집 추천에서부터 방문할만한곳 구석구석 세세히 알려주어 방콕에 처음 온 저희에게 큰 도움이 되었습니다 호스트의 친절함에 감동받고 한국으로 돌아갑니다:) 더 오래 머물지 못한것이 아쉽습니다
