We love the place? special close to the beach .Our room has a fantastic sea view. Our Kids enjoyed both Pool & the beach.Breakfast is super! One thing i don’t like is the toilet.I think we called the housekeeping/ Engineering to repair something in the Bathroom.Other than we are satisfied guest & i would say i want give a 7 ratings from 10. P.S To the Waiter in the afternoon shift ( Reynard), we known him from Pico de Loro 2yrs ago, we say “Thank You” & for taking care of us special to my mother in law from Austria who is first in the Philippines. To the Executive Housekeeping too who is very very kind to us.Vielen Dank!!! Best Regards from Austria Renner Family & Lee Family
2 hours away! ”
The resort is very accessible. Once inside, they are very organized. I encountered some delay in check in, likely due to some volume in check out. So go on a weekday, so you can get the best experience!
Rooms are old and not maintained, super daming lamok, wala silang magawa sa room namin, hindi rin kami pinalipat ng room even when we requested, nagbigay lang ng baygon, goodness paano kung magkadengue kami. buti nalang bawi sa pool kung hindi, walang kwenta ang stay namin
Weekend bonding with family. ”
I can say that overall our stay is good and it’s worth its price. But the problem that we experience is the check in time. We were there already by 2:20 pm and we registered, we were asked to wait to be called. Time is running and it is already 3pm. Lot’s of guests were waiting and we’re one by one losing our temper because of the slow transition. It is a weekend and for sure there will be lots of guests who wanted to proceed to their rooms after a long travel. At last we were give a room at 3:40pm. The rooms were okay but it needs a little maintenance as well. But overall our stay is good, especially that there is a beach and a huge pool for everyone to enjoy!
Customer Oriented Staff”
My husband left his USB with work files in the room and we were contacted back by the resort staff to advise us they retrieved it and that we can pick it up in their Makati office. Really appreciate it. Their restaurant staff are attentive but never annoying. They keep their distance but seems to know perfectly when to approach. Even the housekeeping and guards are very friendly. Kudos! Lots of amenities and activities offered They have a huge swimming pool with different depths. My little girlenjoyed so much trying out the shallowest to the deepest pool. Beach with cream colored sand is stunning in a sunny day. The restaurant has limited offerings though, some of the items are not available so got stuck with pork and chicken. The room unlike what I have read in some reviews , does not seem outdated. It's awesome - flat screen cabled TV, a/c working properly, very comfy and big bed plus a day bed, room with a pool & sea view. Got more than what we paid for.
It was an amazing experience.”
Hotel lobby and front desk: They need to add more people to accommodate the large number of people who are checking in and out. Hotel wifi and mobile data signal: There's no hotel wifi in the room and mobile data signal is very weak. You need to go outside the hotel to be able to access your mobile data. Room: A little bit old but it is comfy because the standard room is spacey. Food: Food is pricey. Better if you avail of the accommodation with free breakfast to save money. Buffet breakfat starts at P500/head. Amenities: What I only hated was the low water pressure in our room. Overall stay was good and place is still recommended. Will return here.
Exceptional but needs an upgrade ”
It was a well spent staycation even for a short period of time. Parking is okay, swimming pool and the beach is clean. The rooms are also good, medyo kailangan ng baguhin ung CR. buffet breakfast is good but they need to refill it faster, there's no one attending near the buffet area. I can say 8/10. 👍
I would recommend and come back”
For the most part, I liked Canyon Cove a lot. My family and I enjoyed our stay here. Unfortunately, our room's view was blocked by a tree but I'm also thankful there is a tree there. It offered some shade while we were at the beach. We got a northwing room (432) which was far from the pool and the elevator but close to the rockier (but a bit more private) part of the beach. There was a buzzing machine sound from the hallway but it wasn't heard from inside the room. They can use more lighting in the room. It was extremely dim. The bathrooms were spacious but dated but we didn't mind that so much. The towels has a strange smell. The floor was sticky when we came in but it might be because they just cleaned it and it was still moist. I like that even their standard room had a private balcony which we could use to dry our wet swimming clothes. The food wasn't amazing but also not bad. Just overpriced. There are fastfood restaurants in town and you can go out for cheaper meals. There were plenty of parking spaces even if the place was fully booked. Brace yourself for a long check in and check out process. If you got good deals online for the room, though, it's worth the wait. The beach was pretty clean considering how close to Manila it is. The staff starts cleaning the place before 6am. I suggest you wake up early because it's nice to go for morning walks while the crowds are not there yet. The pool is open from 7am to 9pm and their pool is big enough to hold their guests. They sometimes show movies by the poolside at night. The firedancers during dinner were also impressive. Bring plenty of patience if you are availing their bbq dinner. We had to wait 40 mins because there were so many diners. Also, the banquet is not unlimited so do line up for dinner by 8pm if you want food. They ran out of food by 8:30 during our stay. It is also advisable for you to bring your own beach towels. They do provide towels but i queued up twice only to find out that towels won't be deliv
Pros -Big rooms, pool, common area and food at night and even fire dancing -Shore is wide and water is clean -Fishes can be seen as well even you don't have snorkeling gear. Cons -this is our 4th stay here. And this time, there's a lot of people who i think is from day tours. And the towels we're not enough to accommodate us. We like waitinf until 11am to get towel to use outside. But on normal days, it was fine. -Food is also late and very few choices. -Wont recommend to buy the breakfast buffet if not included in your booking Still including this on our next trips and planning to visit again before the year end with larger family group. ☺️
We went here May 11-12, 2019 (Mother's Day celebration) and booked 2 rooms via Agoda. The rates were a bit high since we made our booking 3 days before our trip. Medyo biglaang lakad.LOL The rooms were old but nice. The hotel staff and crews were accommodating and polite. The beach is clean. The pool is lovely and huge! My siblings enjoyed the beach, pool and the waterpark adventure. My dad tried their jet ski rental and he loved it (first time to ride/drive a Jet Ski. LOL). However, the rates of their water activities are a bit pricey compared to other beach resorts. Another downside is, we waited for 1.5 hours before our rooms were prepared. The receptionist apologized and advised that we can stay until 1PM the next day, instead of 12nn. While waiting for our rooms to be prepared, we went to their restaurant and had our late lunch. The food that they served for lunch was good. The buffet breakfast was okay but not that special. Overall, our family enjoyed our stay.
Absolutely the worst resort I have stayed at.”
Absolutely the worst. No water pressure in the shower and no hot water. The staff is lazy. Stayed 2 nights and had to ask for clean towels and toiletries. They did not clean the room at all. Pulled the car in front of the hotel to unload the luggage to check in and was told that it is not aloud. It is a local swimming pool only. I do not recommend it at all!!!!!!
We never regret to go back to canyon cove”
Value for money is worth it The rooms needs more improvement in cleanliness The pool and beach is clean The staff and attendants are courteous The security is very helpful The only cons are the food we order I think the price is high and the serving is not worth the price
Perfect resort all in all”
This is best resort I've been so far. Actually it is our second time here. The first time (Feb 2017) was we are with group of friends and the second one, the latest one (July 2019) was we were with our little one (1 year old). Still the resort is well maintained. The views and rooms still great. The pool and the beach is still clean. The room is still clean and the food is still delicious (just a bit pricey). All in all this is recommended one stop resort where you can have pool and beach and great stay in one.
Wala akong masabing negative about this beach resort thumbs up kasama paa ko haha”
Highly recommend this beach resort 😊🏖️ Super linis ng place.. Ng beach.. At lalo ng room ☺️ 2 days and 1 night kmi ng husband ko dito and grabe.. Sulit n sulit bawat sigundo oras kahit pa my bagyo. Maulan.. Mganda paden ang view.. About sa room nag pareserve lng kami sa agoda apps, dun n mismo kami nagbayad worth 3451 if im not mistaken, nagbayad kami 2wks before ng date... 😊 And take note ung room grabe ang ganda, cguro kahit 6 na tao kakasya dun.. Kumpleto gamit.,fully air-conditioned my towels, shampoo, toothbrush, toothpaste, handwash lhat na halos ng kailangan mo andun na. My free coffee pa.. My hair drier.. And small refrigerator, yes. Meron dn s room nyan. My tv din sympre, my safety deposit box din. Damit pamalit nlng dadalhin mo at sarili mo sympre.. Yun nga lang nakakabitin ung 2days and 1 night, haha but super worth it naman.. Babalik pa kami dito for sure 😊 and guys super duper babait ng mga staff nila dun.. And about nga pla ung breakfast namin buffet..
Too Crowded, Slow services , Will make you check in late but strict during check out.”
Before it was a nice resort but now it very crowded making the hotel services poor.. I think their staff cant handle the number of clients booked that day. The only thing great about the hotel is the outdoor dinner.
Hard to say as there was a typhoon”
Pros...pretty decent place with big rooms...a bit pricey as it was old and outdated Cons hard to say as there was a typhoon at the time and just stayed indoors...
nice view and nice place
Fun under the sun”
My family and I went here during the Holy Week. Despite the influx of people during peak season, the place still looked beautiful with ample space to move around. Great place to enjoy both the swimming pool and the beach! Highly recommended. :)
Great Location, Great Ambiance, Poor Food”
Canyon Cove was beautiful. Great room (even had an extra bed). The beach was great. But everything had an extra cost. The inflatable island had an entrance fee (not mentioned in website. you assume it's included in your stay) The food and food service was terrible. We ordered crispy pata at first. Then told the waiter that we will just return after 20 minutes as we need to change clothes (we were dripping wet) and he told us waiting time was 30 minutes. But when we came back after 30 minutes, we were told that the crispy pata was not available and we had to order another fare. And to wait another 30 minutes! wow! Really pissed! So we ordered lechon kawali and sisig instead. The sisig was delicious. But the lechon kawali tasted like stale, old pork. It was terrible. Overall, Canyon Cove was okay but there are better value for money resorts in Batangas than them.
