it was okay”
i don't know why some people complain that this place was terrible. it wasn't! i stayed in a 4-bed dorm for a very reasonable price; linen was provided and the toilets were adequate (each cubicle has a toilet, shower and sink). tours from gray line also pick-up and drop-off in front of the hostel itself. the only downside is that it is very far from downtown and the closest bus stop is like 1.5km away, so it's a bit difficult to explore the city without a car. but the price was very low compared to staying in downtown and i think it was worth it.

Value for money, close to city, free parking”
Small room but comfortable. Very close to city and no problem if travel with a car. Includes free parking and breakfast which is value for money compared to accommodations in city area. Would stay again.

Very good”
Shared kitchen is a bit messy and small. The kitchenware is hard to operate and too many people shared the kitchen together. Room is tidy and clean, each floor has toilet and shower.

Wonderful Place to Stay!”
The Capital Inn was a great place to stay! It's perfect if you want to be close to the city but still be surrounded by nature. It's placed right on this path that takes you along an inlet that is the perfect spot for watching the sunset. Please take advantage of the proximity to the geothermal beach Nautholsvik. Getting downtown takes just one bus but the fare is quite expensive. Overall they were great and I highly recommend this place!

Around seven minutes walk to the bus that connects to city center. The staffs were really friendly and helpful. Room was okay, but the price was almost the cheapest in Iceland.

bad location and extremly pricey”
Iceland is a tourist money trap, dont recommend going there at all. If not for tourists there would be nothing. Taxis are worse than europe and really not much to do unless you want to pay a lot to see what they call sites. The glacier may be the only thing worth seeing unless you want too see lots of lava fields. And since when is a bathroom listed as 1 to 2 people shared mean bathroom for 3 or 4 rooms. Europe must be cheeseheads as even iceland serve cheese and ham and bread for breakfast.

Bad staffs”
As you can see there are good comments about breakfast. Well hey! You can take breakfast in other places. The location is 3 bus stops away from the city. Terrible receptionists, yes receptionists, I met 2 not so gentlemen receptionists. The way they talk is as if they are the 'boss', they don't know how to listen, instead you as a guest you should be the one listening; as if they don't want to hear your question/s at all. They are the type of employees that doesn't enjoy their jobs. Avoid this place, please. If you don't want to ruin your holiday in Iceland, choose another hostel that has a better location and employees. PS. Even the tour guide/ driver of Iceland Guided Tour was pissed of because of the receptionist's attitude.
