Nice Hotel ”
Good Location, Clean hotel, Courteous staff
When I first arrived, the room was a little warm. I was a bit uncomfortable on the first night. By the 2nd day, we had to complain to the front desk (a total of 3 complaints) in order for someone to finally send maintenance to fix the problem. After that, our stay was very pleasant. The room was cleaned daily. The bed was a little hard, which hurt my back (double room). The staff were all nice and the service was prompt. The hotel was about a 5 minute walk from the Nigerian Embassy, which was great. But the walk to all the action in Itaewon was uphill. This was maybe a 20 minute walk which was tiring. But there were always taxi's passing by, that would take us around for about $3.

Enjoyable, ”
Value for Money.Old but clean
On average I stay in this hotel one weekend per month The hotel is old but clean. Heating is an issue. It is too HOT, in fact uncomfortably HOT. Constantly having to open a window to cool the room down. Serious waste of energy.

Staying in in hotel”
Very clean, nice swimming pool, friendly stuff. There is a small local restaurant just opposite the road which was very convenient, great food there. Generally I liked the location of the hotel itself. It is located in bit hilly place and air was much better than in down town. Very quote and relaxing.
Could not find any shampoo in bathroom and had to buy from mini bar which was like 5 times more than in local store.
When we were coming to hotel I never thought there will be such a big hotel in middle of houses and small settlements. General hotel atmosphere is very calm and I found air is much cleaner and fresher than in down town. I have slept with open window and that was perfect, because when I first entered the room it was so hot. still did not understood how to adjust the room temperature. When you just walk out of the hotel you will see small local restaurant opposite the road. I have tried beef soup there. Really fantastic taste and it is not expensive. Most of the meal there is from 5000 to 8000 KRW. What I also like in hotel and in that local restaurant is people were amazingly nice with me. What surprised me was that drive way from hotel parking area into main road. it was so narrow so that you had to drive very careful not to touch the walls. I do not think big 4WD will be able to go through. But it is good value for the rate you pay.

THE CAPITAL IN CAPITAL ”
the ambiance, food and rooms
though it is n itaewon but a 10 - 15 minutes walk from the centre of it all !!
My first stay in Capital Hotel in Seoul. It is located in Itaewon , the prime tourist attraction area but a little far from the centre of activity. It will take a 3 minute drive or 10 - 15 minutes walk to be in the centre. The ambiance of hotel and rooms are nice and cosy and offering good view of the city. The staffis nice and friendly too, overall it gives a very good value for money.

You can tell it was once a nice hotel, but very rundown now;”
AC doesn't work well. Rooms very humid. Signs in elevator still advertise the pool and spa - all closed and abandoned. Restaurant is bad and overpriced. Good location. Could be very nice, with a major renovation

very Old Hotel , needs serious upgrading”
Parking is free, but it is "eerie" basement area and sudden drop to B3. For the Room Aircon to work , inform front desk to turn On because it cannot be controlled in the room. moreover, ac room switch is dummy control only for decor. "adjacent rooms" doesn't have connecting door, polite hotel manager expained it nicely, if travelling with a family do not expect to have a connecting door. starbucks and 7-11 across hotel. quiet rooms , good for sleeping with baby. highest 17th floor view is covered by apartment buildings. not much scenery. facilities definitely needs remodelling and upgrading. To sum all up, for the promo price of less than a 100dollars per night for a family with baby, its value for money.

Needs to Upgrade”
Staff, Location, Reception Area
This hotel needs a major upgrade. The room seemed very old especially in comparison to other hotels in South Korea. To me it felt more like a high end motel than a 5 star hotel. I would stay there again based off location but not based off how nice the hotel is. Hopefully they begin to modernize soon.

Okay, but no plan to return”
I wasn't impressed with anything.
We waited for 10 minutes why the 2 staffers at check-in played with paperwork and ignored us. My girlfriend said the bed spread smelled dirty other than that the room and bathroom were clean. We woke up around 3 am hot with the A/C not working, one phone call and they turned it back on from the front desk. I am not sure why they turn off the A/C during the night. I didn't think the location was all that good for Itaewon restaurants and shopping. I wanted to just confirm my KTX train tickets and they wanted 5000 won for me to check. I have stayed in Itaewon several times and there are much better places, better located and cheaper like the ITW.

What a Ripoff”
Nothing at all
Been Stationed in Korea for two years and have been to many Korean hotels that cost far less than the $175.00 I paid for the substandard Hotel Capitol. Room was 15X15 foot and did not have even a cushioned chair to relax in. There was no Shampoo in the bathroom and the tub was small. The onsite currency exchange trades dollar to won at a much lower rate than the national rate. There was little Western style food to eat at the buffet and the restaurant staff was inattentive. Was charged $7.00 for a bottle of soda and dinner for two adults and two toddlers was $96.00. Felt like I was being bent over. Take it from a GI this place is a rip-off.

Marginal at best”
Not many
for the size and scope and apparent history this hotel is extremely neglected. unkempt, bordering on dirty. unworkable, unable or unwilling staff. upon arrival the bellman grabbed one of four bags and proceeded to the front desk, literally leaving us standing there with the remaining bags. one was on wheels and the other two were small personal use. no bag cart used, no bag cart offered, just a slightly defiant look as the bags sat at the curb line. the room was extremely dated and dirty, dust and lint balls amok, dirty windows. bedding was fresh. front desk staff as friendly as they could begrudgingly be. substandard as basic fare for the cost
