Value for money and Good Location”
We booked the room for 3 when there was a sudden change of plan when we arrived at CEB airport. We need to stay at the city overnight before heading to South Cebu. I checked on available hotels in Agoda (through TripAdvisor) and came across a good deal with Capitol Central Hotel and Suites. Long story short, we booked the room for 3, and checked in late because we finished the City Tour first. We checked in late afternoon, and was escorted to our room right away. The room was surprisingly more than what we were expecting. Beds are spacious, very clean and great restroom. Area is very convenient, with a lot of stores within reach. I highly recommend this hotel.
Everything was perfect ”
This hotel has everything a traveller needs. Good location, polite and friendly staff with clean and comfortable rooms. Coming from the U.K we found it very good value too. It was £20.00 per night. Our room was large, with a good size bathroom and a nice view of the hustle and bustle of the city. Breakfast is served at the restaurant on the 6th floor, again the view is very good. We booked on a room only basis, through a travel agent, but on arrival we were given breakfast coupons for the duration of our stay which was a nice surprise, we are both vegan and the restaurant staff were accommodating to our needs. The staff at the front desk can not do enough to help you either. We found it convenient for local shops like a supermarket a 7/11 and a nice pizza restaurant and pub. All in all I would recommend this hotel to anyone coming to Cebu City who wants a good value hotel. We stayed two nights which was just enough, whilst on route to Tagbilaran City.
Capitol Central Hotel and Suites”
Near perfect. The room was smaller than expected but the quality of the room far exceeded any issues of space/size. It was beautifully appointed, clean, well air-conditioned, gorgeously lit and comfortable. The pictures do not do it justice. The bathroom was also in decent condition and the presence of a heated shower was a welcome surprise. Overall, it was neat, orderly and gives you a serious bang for your buck. It deserves more than a 2-star hotel rating. I would note only two minuses: the lack of a bidet and the lack of a door card to notify staff whether to clean or leave the room alone. A bidet is a necessity for any hotel bathroom and it will only cost Capitol Php300 per room + Php100-200 installation. The convenience it would afford Capitol's guests, however, would be immeasurable. Capitol also needs to provide a door card. We commend Capitol's eagerness to clean the room while we were away and the diligence with which they do so, however, being unaware of what was happening we were surprised about the state of our room when we got back. Some people may not take that kind of surprise so kindly. Having a door card would allow customers set expectations at their convenience.
Underrated for a 2-star hotel”
I was surprised that it was the first hotel to have no closet at all, though they had a large mirror & window for a full view of Escario street and Cebu Capitol. Overall, hospitality from staff is superb! Never missed a room cleaning everday & I loved how I was always welcomed w a tidy room w refills of complimentary water bottle & fresh towels.
A night at Capitol Central Hotel and Suites”
Our night at Capitol Central was the best. The place is so accessible. The staff are so friendly that we immediately feel comfortable when checking in...Great place to stay in Cebu City.
comfortable stay, easy access, friendly staff”
Capitol Central is relatively new and the physical structures are well in place and modern. Having said that, the hotel has all the capabilities to be great. For now though, there are many things that can be improved. I got a premier room which is probably 3x the size of most rooms here since other reviewers complain of the ultra small rooms. My room had a ref but I could not use it because it was very far from the electric socket. And there are only two sockets located at the right side of my bed which is too far from the long wooden table where I could place my laptop. I remedied this by buying an electric cord but still I couldn't use the ref because it had a 3-pronged plug. Sigh. The room gets too dark because there are no lights in the main sleeping room. It needs a lampshade. The bathroom is clean with new tiles and fixtures that work, but they need to supply a floor towel so you dont make a mess when you're coming from the shower. Restaurant at the Pavilion, 6th or 7th floor I think, has great views of the city and the mountains. Ok food and affordable. Staff friendly. Place is located almost across the Cebu Capitol. Jeeps pass by Escariot so its easy to get a ride to Ayala or Fuente Osmena, Mango Blvd and Robinsons. There's an internet cafe a block away thats open 24 hours for when you need to print your boarding pass. I have a laptop but don't carry printer obviously. The hotel doesn't have a business center. Staff efficient and friendly. The place could get crowded during the day. If they fix the little things: toilet mat, lampshades in the room, electrical outlets for the ref(otherwise why have it if the guests cant use it), it can be a great place to stay.
Definitely a good find in the city of Cebu”
Superb experience at this hotel! Good location, it's literally in the middle of everywhere u would probably be visiting in Cebu City, if you're a tourist that is. Comfy room, I would say w/ the money I payed for it, the quality of the room exceeded my expectations. Friendly & accomodating staffs, always willing to help & would definitely attend to any of ur requests right away. I must say, we would definitely stay here again on our next visit to Cebu... :)
good location, very friendly staff, reasonable rat”
I had a booking for the previous day which I couldnt use due of me missing the flight. After my arrival the next day, where the booking actually was not valid anymore, I arrived at the hotel and explained my situation and was allowed to use my booking from the day before which I found very kind and I appreciated it. Staff in general are very friendly and trying to do their very best to accommodate guests requests. The room is nice and the WIFI is surprisingly fast and steady for Philippine standard. I can only recommend this hotel, however the housekeeping could be more thorough, but that's an issue in general in the Philippines I think. Almost never you will find a REALLY CLEAN room so much for Capitol Central, I will be coming back
Best hotel & staff in cebu”
I needed to make some changes on my booking, the staff there went above & beyond in meeting my needs. It was my 3rd stay at the hotel & I will definitely come back again. Great location, big & clean rooms & most important great staff. My friend also enjoyed he's 4 days stay at the hotel.Thank you again to all the staff at Capitol central😊
Accesible to everywhere!”
Been to this hotel for so many times, i like the location, it is accesible to the new restaurants around capitol site, and just a ride from jeepney to Ayala and other places in Cebu City. If u are looking for the accessibility and location stay right here!
value for money”
Enjoyed our stay :) great location, near public transportation. There are jeepneys going to ayala and sm cebu and fuente circle just across the hotel. Value for money and also we were able to take advantage of a great deal from agoda :-D . Approachable and accommodating staff. Things to improve: please provide an extra table in the deluxe room. Had no place to eat in the room so we ate on the bed haha. Also, no place to put your handbags and other stuff beside the small side table. Note: if you want a room with a view, ask the receptionist upon check in. Unfortunately, ours was a cement wall (stayed in room 312). Probably from the adjacent bldg.
Great location center to Cebu City..”
Near Ayala mall you only have to pay 7 pesos per person and you can take a ride easily @front of hotel..Fortunately during our stay there was no heavy traffic that why we really enjoyed our stay on this place . The hospital, pharmacy, bank, fastfood chain are all near the hotel... I highly recommend this hotel if you are on a budgeted vacay and want to explore the historic place of Cebu City
Best Value for Money; Very good location”
The stay was smooth and great! Compliments to the staff who were very courteous and accommodating. They had everything we needed. Most of all it was a very economical and pleasant stay. Will definitely stay here again when i visit cebu city.
love the place... been stayin there every time im in cebu with family or by myself.. location is great.. price is great.. only minor issue is i always book 2 twin beds and always get 1 queen sized bed.. but everytime though they change it to what i originally booked.. so i dont mind.. again i love the place so much that my fiancé and i call it "our place"
Reasonably Priced and Clean”
The hotel was a value for the money. Food was adequate but room size was very small. We stayed for 2 nights and we had a good experience with the friendly staff. Location is good for travelers who want to stay in a hotel near the downtown area of Cebu.
You get what you pay for”
Hotel is just across the Cebu Provincial Capitol, around 15-20 minutes walk to Ayala Center, Fuente Osmeña, House of Lechon (Acacia Street). Fast internet - around 40mpbs but unfortunately during our stay we experienced intermittent internet connection. The electrical sockets in room 506 must be fixed though.
I would say the location of the hotel is perfect. Escario is very accessible around Cebu City Area.”
Easy access to different establishments and known places in Cebu City. The wifi is not that good, I've actually used my own internet connection. What stood out for me really is the walking- distant location, we can to any places we wanted to and the places around the area is safe.
Would definitely recommend this because for its prime location”
This hotel is accessible to food establishments, bank, pharmacy and convenience store via walk or public transpo. Craving for food, all you had to do is walk a few to pick one of many choices. Also, the facilities were good. They also have daily housekeeping with toiletries included. We stayed in Family Room A, I just found it lacking a bidet. And the first impression was actually lost to me due to the stained curtains. But I'd say what matters are good bed, air conditioned room and decent bathroom; basic stuff when you're mostly out of the room exploring the city and the beauty of Cebu.
Conveniently located just across the Cebu Capitol building. Great value for money.
Loved the bed! Great choice!”
I booked this hotel without an idea about its location although i have been to Cebu twice. The location is good enough for someone who would want to explore the city. The deluxe room is a bit smaller than other hotel of its kind but good enough for two persons. But one thing I really loved is their BED! Not too mention all other good stuff like cleanliness, accommodating staff and cheap but good breakfast. I highly recommend it for travelers who wouldn't want to spend too much in accommodation but doesn't want to compromise comfort.
