Traveler impressions of Cameron Highlands
nice weather. butterly garden is most suitable for kids . they can see a lot different type of insects .
...butterfly...floral as well//
It was a nice trip. I went there with my mum for a 2-day trip. We had fun buying fresh vegetables like daikon, strawberry etc.
There are several things which farm owner and related authority could possibly do. For instance the public transport and plantation of the surrounding farms instead of getting more infrastructure to be built without preserving the nature of the highland. A good place to relax for family trip. Will try out more things next time.
Would be a good short getaway, pretty relaxing. There might be not a lot of nightlife and entertainment, would be boring yet quiet and peaceful.
Being visit many time to Cameron Highlands, we miss the old time Cameron Highlands, reason being it over develop with resident & commercial building, illegal farming.
Cameron is a plantation & natural places with tree & jungle. Today, it become commercial sightseeing place (expensive food, vegetable, accommodation), traffic jam. Government no control on the town development (illegal farming cause landslide keep happen, mud flood happen)
A great place to relax from your daily life. Get close to nature and feel the natural and fresh air from the mountain
i have been cameron hightlands in about 8 years ago, during that time, i feel really relaxing at cameron highland.
Enjoy the cold weather and many nice view for the planting over there. But this trip during December 2015, it make me totally disappointed. Lots of new building are build up, the natural looks become business looks already. It make me feel that is not worth to go cameron highlands to enjoy the environment and relaxing ready.
A good place for relax after a busy working life. A place that we can actually close to nature and relax our mind.
Don't go during weekend or festive seasons. It's only one way route so the traffic is quite bad. The jam can lasted for almost or more than an hour.
Despite so, its a beautiful place for sightseeing and relaxation. The weather is really cooling (like nature air con. If you like flowers, nature, strawberries, tea, it's a place for you to go. You can self pluck strawberries, go to lavender garden, rose garden, watercress farms, cats farts etc. You can also visit their Boh tea plantation or cameron tea plantation (smaller version). And their sweet corns are really sweet and juicy and you can eat them fresh, raw. You will not be hungry there as well. There are quite a number of steamboat restaurants, and other cuisines. You can easily find good and delicious good.
Good and nice to go during off peak seasons. The traffic during peak season was too packed!! Wasted a lot of time in the car!
Try to avoid visit at peak season to avoid heavy traffic jam and less car park. tea house is a good leisure place strawberries farm is a very good place to visit
Remember this is highland but beach/island. Enjoy more fresh veg than meat. Cold weather at night enjoy your beers/wine or ice-cream with friends and family.
Used to be a nice place for escaping the lowland heat in Malaysia however due to the influx of tourist, it has become too congested.
The road infrastructure is unable to support the amount of tourist creating horrible traffic jam during normal weekends. The lack of parking along the attractions made it even worse with people parking their cars illegally by the roadside cause the traffic to clog up from morning till night. Avoid visiting Cameron Highlands during weekends or public holidays to end up not enjoying the beauty of the highland greens.
Its a good place to travel with your partner but don't go during peak hours because for each attraction to parking is very limited and the traffic quite bad.
Some attraction you only can park your car at the roadside but sometime the police come to give summon due to illegal parking.
for those who want peace, calm and fresh air, back to nature activities at tea plantation centre with young children.
.self plucking strawberry..eating fresh vegetables..do come and visit Cameron highlands.
Nice place to get relex in a short weekend break. it is not so far away if travel from Kuala Lumpur. one bad thing is internet and phone connection is not so good.
we found difficult to connect GPS and waze.
the place to see the beautiful nature of Flowers garden, cactus garden, strawberry garden, and the most beautiful part is having a tea with surround of Tea Plantation.
Avoid school holidays. Plan well before visiting places of attractions because it is not easy to make u-turns while on the road.
Leave early for sightseeing to avoid traffic and parking inconveniences.
Weather is nice and you get to pick your own strawberry. Boh Tea Estate at Sungai Palas is a nice place to visit too.
cooling weather, no need to on the in-car air conditioner. steamboat in Brinchang is a must have and must eat.
do not drive up to Kea Farm after 12 noon as the traffic jam will take 2 and a half hours. lavender farm and rose garden is beautiful and well maintained.
cameron highland should have more unique resort, with the nice environment, people can enjoy & relax, stay away from busy world.
Tanah Ratah and Brinchang should have interconnecting free transport so that tourist or local visitors can visit each other for more choice of food and other attractions.
Driving our cars can achieve this but it is troublesome to find parking lots.
Great change from the staid, warm and humid cities. Visit during the colder months (Nov-Feb) if you want fresh air, but dry months (May-Aug) if you are looking for outdoor activities.
If you are driving up to Cameron Highlands, I would recommend the using the Ipoh-Cameron road, rather than the Ringlet-Cameron road.
This is because the former choice has a wider and safer 2 lane cutting lane, whilst the latter road is more windy and could be risky for inexperienced drivers. However, after the long and tiring drive up, you can relax with the strawberries, fresh air, and great atmosphere with cool weather!
A good place for family gathering.....suggest to stay at least two nights in order to enjoy the locations in Cameron Highlands
I always bring my family to Cameron Highlands every year since the past six years. We love the panoramic view, the air, and the attractions.
Relax, rewind and enjoy the cooling weather and green scenery of Cameron Highland. A very nice place to have a couple of cold beers at night or hot drink at night while enjoying to cooling weather at night.
Would come here for scones and photo session at the tea plantation whenever i bring different groups of family members and friends up here.
I personally prefer their scones than the ones served at the Boh Plantation. It can get pretty crowded during public holidays. Best table would be the ones near balcony with a splendid view of the tea plantation and hills. You can also buy souvenirs here and stop for toilet before resuming your journey home via Tapah.
Hill site area with lots of flowers and vegetables. Getting crowded and too commercialised. Still some nice places to visit.
Nice place to visit especially on non-holiday season. Carry your flu and fever medicines as this place gets very cold when its raining.
Terlalu banyak bangunan tinggi. Bukit bukau dan pokok-pokok makin berkurangan. Lantas kurang kedengaran burung-burung berkicauan.
