Best hotels & accommodations in Kyoto

This is the only capsule hotel in Kyoto that has a mixed floor, meaning a floor for both guy & girl which is convenient for a couple like us travelling as we don't want to be on different floor for the night. The room is just a bed with all the remote & key being the Ipod that was passed to you during check in. The troublesome thing is to make sure the ipod is fully ch...

For 2500 yen/ night: it is undoubtedly the best location in Kyoto, just at the center of the city center! Very convenient and great facilities (sauna, spa). Comfortable bed and free tv. However i was disappointed by the quality of amenities e.g. shower gel, shampoo and conditionner etc compared to other capsule hotels. Also, it's the only capsule hotel i've been in Jap...

Close to Hankyu stn and subway stn and walkable to Gion and Kyoto Jr stn. Surpasses any capsule hotels in terms of responsiveness (emails enquiries), cleanliness, number of basins, toilets and shower booths, and amenities (bath Towel AND face towel at no ridiculous extra chg, toothbrush, shower sponge, facial cleanser and lotion..) and lounge where u can eat cup noodle...

This is my first time ever staying in capsule hotels and First Cabin Kyoto took my breath away! Location is more than just great, right beside Arashimaya Station and with lots lots lots of places to see, eat, play! Arashimaya Bamboo Forest is just a 10min walk away and in this awesome weather, walking anywhere is a breeze. Heading to other places was a breeze too, sinc...

In Kyoto, there is a place hidden among all gems of a place to stay. Comics & Capsule Hotel provides that gem. Its not hard to find this place but right near the Shinkyogoku Street Market, its a wonderful place to be. Manga lovers will want to spend a long time in this place. There's a Standard Room and a Deluxe Room to choose from. For me, the Standard Room is like a ...

for the 7 nights ive been in japan, ive stayed in 7 different capsule hotels in diffirent cities were i had to spend the night in japan. This has t ok be the best one out of service, cost, value for money and amenities provided. Its a very new capsule hotel aswel. Amenity Hotel is an excellent budget choice and probably one of the cheapest options in Kyoto. It's a capsule hotel but a very good one. No frills, clean bathrooms. Service was excellent, they were accommodating and understanding of a very late checkin. I'll stay here again next time I visit Kyoto.

The design of capsule resort kyoto square is fantastic. every accommodation detail is carefully thought through to provide visitors with the maximum amount of convenience and comfort. I'm absolutely in love with this capsule hotel. I stayed at 3 other capsule hotels (in various cities) on my Japan trip, and this one is the best!

I stayed in Kyoto for one night only. I arrived to Kyoto late and the hotel was so good that they sent me an email to teach me how to check-in myself. Everything in the hotel is good. Both capsule (inc. bed sheet), shower room, toilet are clean and comfortable. Especially the capsule is spacious enough. If you are a backpacker, you must love it. But the only concern ...

Stayed 3 nights and if I had more time in Kyoto would have stayed only here. On this visit Nakajima-san went above and beyond to help me recover my passport that I had dropped 230 miles away. Each and every member of the team I met all treated me like they were the ones I had spoken to about my mishap with each offering their support and suggestions. The facilities w...

Great spot, really close to the train station. The hosts all speak perfect English and offered great recommendations on food and the best ways to get to the touristy locations. The rooms are tiny (it's a capsule hotel, after all) but have everything you need, including a space age shower. Highly recommended!

it is such a cosy, cultural, accessible and friendly city! it sounds royal and big but really a perfect sized destination for a 4-5 nights stay!
Beautiful city, culturally magnificent, easy to get around, transportation excellent and very clean! Food is reasonably priced if you know where you to go to eat.
Kyoto has many well-preserved historic places of interest. It is the main place to see all things unique to Japan.
If you are a sporty type, just skip the crowded bus system entirely and rent a good bike! I've done Kyoto by bike 5 times now and as long as it ain't raining, bike is the WAY to go!

Kyoto is a must to see in Japan, plenty of amazing temples, spectacular gardens, very vibrant city. In my opinion the gloden Kinkakuji pavilion in northen part of the city is the best what tourist can see in Kyoto.
make sure to stop by at the shopping streets near Gion. there is a lot of fine quality tea shops along the area
There is so much to see in and around Kyoto. We stayed three days, but would definitely return and stay longer.
It's really nice to visit the different temples, the famous bridge, food is absolutely amazing! I highly recommend to go to Osaka too!
Kyoto is the quintessential "old Japan." Go and don't stay for less than two nights. For nightlife, people who don't want to go to Snack/Pub hostess bars or the few nightclubs near Kiyamachi go to Osaka instead, but everything is great here: history, culture, architecture, nature!
A big city with a lot of trains underground.. It is helpful to have some one who knows Japanese if you want to take trains or buses.
Love this small little town that is full of historical. If you love culture, this is a town for you.
Google map is very helpful, it will recommend you how to take a bus / MTR and the roads are not complicated to find.
We need some special information about Kyoto to enjoy eating and shopping. Ask them to a driver of Hotel coach! You might get a nice one.
