So good, I kept coming back. ”

Easy check in, smoke free environment, fast wifi

This is a great value, and I actually stayed here several times because of that. Friendly staff with a fast check in. Very clean, and (mostly) smoke free (there is an outdoor smoking area directly outside the common area , the smoke follows the smoker inside, but dissipates quickly.) There is no smoking allowed anywhere inside (YAY!) The best thing about this capsule, that is different from most others, is that you do not need to leave the premises between checkout and check,in; you can stay in the common area with TV, computers, drink vending machine, and fast wifi. And although check,in is listed as 3 PM, it was always around 11:00 AM, that they allowed it. Hotel is near JR Kanda, which is between major stations Akihabara and Tokyo. Its location can be tricky, so print a map, and exit from the south of JR Kanda. Hotel is co,ed, with special times set aside for women to use the bathing facilities and onsen. Recommended.

Great check,in, clean, comfortable pods, fast wifi”

Easy check,in, very clean, fast wifi

This capsule hotel is different from the others I stayed in, in that , while you must vacate your capsule by 10 AM , you can check back in almost immediately, and you do not have to leave the premises while you wait. That is a huge advantage for those who need more ‘down time' or aren't yet ready to face hectic Tokyo. Location is a tiny bit out of the way at Kanda station, but you are directly between to major JR stops: Akihabara and Tokyo. Do yourself a favor and print the location on a map, or use Google Maps, because it's a bit of a maze around the station area. This is a coed capsule, with women having a dedicated floor, plus regulated hours for using the sauna. This hotel is very clean. One downside is that there is a smoking area directly outside the common area, so when the smokers come back in, their odor follows. This was a good stay. Recommended.

    Save your money here”

cheap, clean, very near to the station

I stayed at Kanda for 5 days and I have to say I really love this place. To make it easy to read, I'll just make points here: - Cheap, like real damn cheap - Nice experience living in capsule for almost a week - It's really clean - More experience if you chat with other visitors, especially oversea visitors - Located very near to the Kanda Station, so it's just like 5 minutes away from AKihabara, if you're into that kind of thing Cons: - Public bath room, you'll see a lot of dongs. You'll get used to it though, just concentrate on not looking. - The capsule is kind of spacious, it even have TV inside which I think shouldn't be there. Reminder: Make sure you book the place because it's easy for this place to be full!

    Nice!”

I stayed at Capsule Value Kanda for only one night but I can strongly recommend it. It is very close to Tokyo Central Station (ideal for an overnight stay before departure or after arrival to/from the airport). They give you a set of amenities such as a towel, a toothbrush and even a pyjama. All in all, it is fairly quiet if people are respectful. There is a " common room" with a table and chairs. There is no breakfast option but many cafes in the area. 24/24 reception open.

    Great quality service”

I returned to Tokyo and decided to stay in Kanda capsule hotel for the second time. Location wise it is within 5 mins walk from JR Kanda station, and one stop away from JR Tokyo station. The storage locker is a bit too small, and you have to leave your big luggage in the reception level. Its good if you travel light. The hotel matches what was described on Agoda. Definitely recommended for solo travellers.

    Best Capsule Hotel in Tokyo”

    location, atmosphere, clean

I have stayed at many capsule hotels in Tokyo. This is my favorite. It is located in Kanda which gives you great access to Akihabara and Tokyo station. Always very clean and feels/looks nicer than all the other capsules I have been to.

Great Location, Good surroundings, Easy Transport access.

Always wanted to try a capsule hotel and found Value Kanda to be an exceptional experience, due to its central location and surroundings. Food is plentiful around the hotel, and it is literally 3 minutes walk to Kanda station and a stop away from Tokyo station! Basic necessities are provided and overall a good place to try out the Capsule Hotel experience in Japan.

Great value for an unforgettable hotel experience”

    Value, Design, and Location

I have wanted to stay at a "Capsule Hotel" ever since Kramer joked about them on a hilarious episode of Seinfeld. Kramer had his 3 Japanese visitors sleeping in the "Farbman" chest of drawers. This hotel was the perfect place for me to stay on my first night in Tokyo. It was clean, inexpensive, and very close (one subway stop) from Tokyo Station. The small, futuristic capsule room was surprisingly comfortable. It was equipped with a small TV and radio as well. You were given a locker for your shoes in the entrance and a bigger locker for your gear. Larger suitcases can be stored in the computer lounge. The bathroom upstairs was clean and the showers and bath downstairs were Japanese-style with a western shower available, too. I highly recommend this hotel for the unique experience and value for your money. The only downfall was the moderate noise level of guests leaving early in the morning. There is no real way to block out sound as the capsule only comes with a dark blind that pulls down. If you want absolute quiet and privacy this is not the place for you. I recommend bringing a night mask and earplugs as a general rule, just in case.

Location, easy check in-check out, clean

Staying in Capsule Kanda was perfect. It is a capsule so don't expect a 5 stars hotel. The location is perfect because closed to an area full of restaurants and closed to Kanda station (5 mins walk). Check in-check out is easy and fast, most of the guys of the staff don't speak English but they are nice and they will try everything to help you. Everything is very clean.

    Good for the Price”

    location/proximity to transportation, affordability, comfort

I stayed here for 4 nights and was happy with my stay here. The best part is by far the proximity to the Kanda station. It gives you access to the metro and JR lines, allowing you to get to wherever you want in Tokyo pretty quickly. The capsules were more comfortable than I expected, however, they could sometimes get hot at night. Definitely bring ear plugs if you're a light sleeper too. The shower situation was unique as I'd never used a communal shower before, but I only had to wait in line once (There are only 4 showers for the whole hotel). The only minor complaint I had was the checking out each day. It would've been nice to leave some of my valuables in the lockers. However, after checking out at 10am, you could literally check in around 11 or noon if you wanted to. So it wasn't that bad. You could leave your bags in the common room on the first floor, and I used a bike lock to secure my stuff to the shelf. That being said, I was never really concerned about having my stuff stolen. Overall, I'd probably stay here again. You can't beat $15/night for a stay in Tokyo.

Every morning after check out, they clean all the sheets and capsules. It's located near kanda station which made it very convenient to travel. The staff knows enough english to help foreigners with their stay (they also gave out a sheet in english to inform what is provided in their stay). Since check out is every morning, it helped me adjust to waking up early so I can travel around tokyo at an earlier time

    Location, value, and cleanliness

We booked this hotel for 5 nights. It is located near a train station and is surrounded by many pubs catering for business travelers. It may not be suitable for a family. Street leading to the hotel: There is a massage parlor at the intersection near the station which may make one uncomfortable because the ladies are out there at night trying to get you use their services. There were four of us - one adult and three teenagers. We never got approached by any of the women while we were traveling as a group. If you are traveling as an individual and it is late at night, you may be approached by them. One of the teenagers in our group got separated one night and he was approached, but he politely said no and was left alone by the women. The hotel: The hotel gives you two keys - one for a locker, located at the main entry, to be used to store your shoes, and the other for your locker at the floor you are staying. The second locker is large enough for two backpacks. If you are bringing a suitcase, it will not fit. The air conditioning is cool for most nights. When it is too warm and stuffy, you may need to move your sleeping position with your head near the opening of the capsule. There is a communal bath with max capacity of four people, and it is located at the base floor. There is a restroom with three sinks and three toilets at each floor. Two Towels, bathrobe, toothbrush, and toothpaste are provided each day. The hotel requires a guest to check out by 10 AM daily regardless of reservation. The earliest check-in is 11 AM. We enjoyed our stay there because our number one priority was value. We knew ahead of time that we will spend most of our time sightseeing and shopping - and that we only use the hotel to shower and sleep. If you have the same requirement as ours, and don't mind checking in and out daily, this hotel will be great for you and your party.

    Best for position”

This is the place you go if you want to experience the original capsule hotel feel. The hotel is clean but very old, and it's mainly attended by japanese workmen. You get the same feel when you walk around the neighbourhood, where you mainly see working men and women getting together for dinner. It has only one common japanese bathroom, so better use it when it's not crowdy. The best thing is that is just behind Kanda station, only one train stop from Tokyo central.
