My best experience in PH. Carabao Island. No signal. No electrity. No hot water. No fan. No aircon. Only the nature and grear people. New friends: Jack, Jane. James. Hony and baby Luna. Carabao backpacker guesthouse for new experience. Eating and drinking and looking stars. Asking a Aeta family to help to clean the beach after the typhoon and give them food for 20. Jumping 15m cliff. Hunting a starfishes. Smelling the pur fresh air. No noize. No gas smell. Seriously every human need to try This experience on Carabao island.

Lanas Hostel”
Everything was ok when I checked in, met the caretaker, my request for a room transfer was granted with additional fee, no issues. On my last evening there was a power outage, I was the only guest of the hostel, power outage, I can understand, no back up generator I can understand but no emergency lights for guest to use is somewhat hard to understand, it only means that the owner does not care, I was told that power outage is normal in Carabao island. Luckily the caretaker was a neighbor so I went to her and she stayed with me and lent me her own emergency light

Fair enough”
Place is far from the town proper and motorcycle ride going there from the port is 150pesos. About 20-30minutes motorcycle ride. But the place is just 20-30sec walk to the pump boat going to Caticlan and just a few minutes walk to the beach. It is located in the local areas. We stayed in the cottage which is separated from the building. We experienced electricity outage at night but came back after a few minutes. There's just one outlet enough for the electric fan so better to bring additional outlets. Good to stay for overnight but not so for a long trip.

Unattended and unclean”
No one was around when I arrived. This was such a big problem because it was approaching evening already and Lanas was on a very quiet side and far from the town proper. A neighbor who cleans the place every now and then kindly showed me in but the place wasn’t cleaned and readied for any guest.

Value for money ”
This is located in Lanas town (15-20 mins) from the town capital of San Jose. Better if you hire a motorbike that can send you around the whole island. Backpackers is beach front, it is beside White beach resort. The resort owner Mike is very accommodating; he would offer all their amenities. You can also use their kitchen to cook since there is 1 carinderia near the place. They have a several dorms and rooms for your convenience. The dorms are Php 350/night which is very cheap compared to other resorts. However, if you are looking for tight security this place isn't for you; you should just trust the people around (they are generally good and kind) for your safety.

Nice Hostel”
We stayed for 1 week in a 4 bed dorm. Rooms are easy furnished and very clean and you get a batterie for the fan, because you've only in the evening electricity. Best thing: it's allowed to use the kitchen. Only a few min walk to small shops. Carabao Island is the the opposite to Boracay. It's quiet and a easy way of life. The locals are so lovely and relaxed. We love this place! It is the best place to calm down. There is a diving school and you can rent kayaks. The owner is a amazing guy, who can tell you a lot of funny stories. We had a awesome time, thank you!

I had a pleasant stay and I was lucky, because I had a room to myself. The hostel has a great location, near the beach. The owner was helpful and I enjoyed every day. The complimentary drink at the resorts bar around sunset was a must.. I went diving and enjoyed lazying around. The food in the resort was great so I never bothered to use the kitchen in the hostel....

Empfehlung auf Agoda total übertrieben!”
Erst mal habe ich laut euch das letzte Bett im Dormitory ergattert. In Wirklichkeit war ich der einzige Gast. Personal unfreundlich und beleidigt die Gäste. Zimmer sehr einfach und teilweise schmuddelig. Kakerlaken im Badezimmer, Dach undicht, es regnete auf das Bett. Hostelkühlschrank ausser Betrieb, Küche schmutzig. Kein Trinkwasser vor Ort. Bar nicht in Betrieb. Der Verantwortliche vor Ort meistens unter Alkoholeinfluss. Dieses Haus zu empfehlen ist eine Zumutung!

CP值高，適合單身旅遊”
來這個Carabao island 島不簡單，從Romblon inside 搭AM8:00的船到San Agustin 港口P100/人，在San Agustin 附近再換搭九人座共程P500/人大約1時45分到達Ste Fe附近，換搭摩托車P250/ 1小時到達Sta Fe港口，為何會選擇如此搭程方式，因為中午過後風浪🌊會大，難怪中午過後Odiongan與Looc會沒有船到Caticlan 所以Sta Fe 中午左右加開了一班小船到Carabao island，因此中午前必須到達Sta Fe港口等候，Sta Fe港口至Carabao island P300/人，再換搭摩托車🏍️1小時左右P150就來到這裏了，每天Carabao island 早上7:00有小船至Boracay 1小時左右P150.
