Out in the country”
We had a great time at the Cardrona hotel. We went for a break out of the ski season, when things were quiet. The included was basic, and the cooked breakfast wasn't always available. The food at other times was of gargantuan proportions and excellent quality. Everybody was nice and the hotel only got busy at lunch time. We had a great time walking and running round local tracks. The location is great for Queenstown & Wanaka (if you have a car)and we visited both although Q'town takes longer. 20 mins on an easy road to Wanaka gave us a great variation for evening dining.

super awesome hotel! very clean and nice! location is just between wanaka and queenstown. very good to stay here when you finished skiing in Cardrona. A hot tub is free to use for hotel guest which is a big bonus! Must try the hot tub after skiing for relax!

Great place to stay if you are visiting Wanaka!”
Stayed over at the Cardona Hotel when I was visiting Wanaka. Only complaint was that the hot water flask was dirty. Other than that, the room was clean and spacious. Bar was great. Breakfast was very simple but little complaints there. Had a good night's rest and would stay longer if there's an opportunity
