Excellent Hotel for Venice”
Carnival Palace Hotel was an excellent choice of hotel to stay in Venice. It's within walking distance of all the main sights and conveniently located next to a couple of Vaporetti stops making everything easily accessible. The rooms were exceptionally tidy and comfy while the beds provided a cracking nights sleep. The bathroom, and especially the shower were exceptional. The daily buffet breakfast was delicious and the perfect start to a day of exploring Venice. The staff were friendly, approachable and went out of their way to help in anyway they could. The only gripe myself and my partner had was that there are no tea and coffee making facilities in the room and a lack of English channels on the tele. That being said who goes to Venice to watch the tele! Tea and coffee in the room would have been good though. Overall myself and my partner agreed that the Carnival Palace hotel was delightful and we would happily stay there again next time we visit the magical city of Venice!
Romantic weekend in Venice”
My boyfriend and I stayed at the Carnival Palace hotel for a weekend in Venice. The hotel is great - spanking new, the rooms spacious (albeit dark but I know thats Venetian!) and very clean. Having breakfast included was great. It is a little far away from San Marco and Rialto - about a 30 min walk from San Marco, but if you are prepared for that (and have good weather!) it's fine. Any hotel of this quality closer to San Marco I am sure would be double the price, so really it's fine! The welcome drinks were a nice touch, we appreciated that a lot. My only criticisms are that there is not an iron provided in the rooms - you have to pay for it and 'rent it out' in the mornings. This was annoying. Also, although we had a double bed it was two single beds put together, which was fine but not 100% comfortable at times. It would also have been nice if tea/coffee and a kettle were in the rooms - I desperately wanted a cup of tea one afternoon and room service had a charge of 10 euros!!!!! All in all I really liked this hotel, would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to friends going to Venice.
Dear Isabella, We thank you for having spent some of your precious time to review our hotel. We are so happy thet you spend an enjoy stay in our hotel. Regarding the iron, usually we are not able to lend at our guest for securety reason, Despite the hotel's fire equipment and systems, we had electrical problems after letting iron. Your helpful comments are much appreciated, your feedback will help us to continually improve the standard of facilities and services offered to all our guests. Looking forward to see you again in the near future. Kind Regards Emanuele Buttazzo Duty Manager
best hotel”
We loved staying at carnival palace hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was beautiful and the bathroom was stunning. It was clean and it had a great supply of products and robes and lovely slippers. The breakfast was nice with a great variety of different food to choose from. The cocktails were delicious! We enjoyed sitting outside in the evening. This hotel exceeded our expectations, we would definitely stay there again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Carnival palace to others.
Best hotel in Venice”
We had a great time staying at Carnival palace. It's very clean, comfortable, big bathroom, big room. It's also just a walking distance to restaurants and very near the boat stop. When you go out of the hotel, you can already see the water. You can also walk to San Marco square from the hotel if you like walking. If ever we got back to Venice, this is the hotel we will always stay in. I would recommend this to my friends.
Exceptional”
I had never been to Venice before so picked this hotel mostly based on good reviews, and I was not disappointed!!! A four star hotel deserving its four stars. Away from the bustling St Mark’s it was a delight to escape to after a days sightseeing and relax at the tables by the canal outside the hotel. The hotel itself is fabulous. I was sceptical that it couldn’t be as nice as the photos but it absolutely is. Beautiful marble entrance. Lovely, friendly helpful reception, bar and restaurant staff. Our room was beautiful and I wish I could have the bathroom installed at my own home!! The place is spotless!! Breakfast is NOT to be missed. Delicious. We got the alilaguna from Marco Polo airport because we thought it would be a fun start to our stay, which it was, and the stop for hotel , Guglie, is a 3 minute walk. The ACTV and ATVO bus lines to central Venice are 20m away. Perfect!!! I would absolutely stay here again
Luxury style hotel”
We were upgraded to suite, which made us hving good impression of this hotel. Carnival palace is far from main attractions, but it's convenient to take connecting water bus to Burano and Murano islands. Besides, it's within walking distance to train station. Hotel condition is good and new, it's luxury style in their renovation. Wifi is not stable but still kind of acceptable level.
Excellent hotel in a great location”
This hotel is conveniently located in the north of Venice, in a quiet and cosy area. Several shops, bars and restaurants within a 5 minute walking distance meant you could dine out or buy what you need and get back to the hotel in no time. The centre of Venice is only 20-30 minutes away, though if you enjoy exploring every alley, canal and bridge you could go on an all day excursion and still only be a relatively short distance away! Staff were extremely friendly, never failing to greet us and very accommodating. The breakfast was of great quality and gave good variety. The room itself was slightly smaller than expected, but it came with a huge bathroom, and the canal view was a joy to sit and watch. The standard of cleanliness was very high throughout the stay in every area of the hotel. If we could improve anything it would be the price, and maybe looking to provide an iron/ironing board; although the hotel's laundry service was more than adequate. We would certainly recommend the hotel, overall - thoroughly enjoyed our stay there.
Excellent hotel”
Excellent hotel, very friendly staff, very clean, buffet breakfast was great! It is located on the quiet side of Venice, away from the busy street. It's about a 15 min walk from the train station, it can be a hassel when you are walking with luggage. There's a waterbus station about 20 steps away from the front door, it will pretty much take you anywhere on the island. Make sure you get the tourist travel card and you get unlimited access to the bus. Overall it was a great hotel and I wil definitely come back next time I come to Venice!
NO regrets as choice for honeymoon”
Few days prior checking in, googled for review and was shocked by double charging and bad staff attitude review by others. Was really apprehensive, even wanted to forgo my bookings although it was already paid for. Husband say just go ahead to experience it ourselves, no harm. In short, splendid, extremely helpful staffs. I practically needed their assistance for the three whole days we stayed there. Will come and stay again shall I visit Venice. Keep up the good standards!
Great boutique hotel at quiet location. ”
This hotel was wonderful for three of us. The hotel rooms are modern, with a nice bathroom. Breakfast is sufficient, not an overly extravagant spread but with hot foods included. The location was great for us because we enjoyed how quiet the hotel was. We slept with the windows open since it was November and we had church bells in the morning which we loved. Next time I come back to Venice, this would still be my hotel of choice.
Wonderful”
The hotel's room was lovely, clean, and the bed was so comfortable. The location is only 2-3 stops of water bus from Ferrovia where the Santa Lucia train station located. The hotel staff were very welcome and helpfull. Definitely will come back to stay here again whenever I come to Venice, recommended.
Nice and quiet”
Venice is very busy , It was very nice at the end of the day to return to our hotel , which is located in a quieter area of town although at walking distance from the action .You can ride the public service boats two steps away from the hotel . The staff is very friendly and helpful, the diner suggestions was so so , they seem to encourage their neighbor restaurants . Cocktail on the terrasse by the water is a must
good accommodation but not really good service”
Over all, the hotel was very nice. The location, accommodation and the interior design made me wanna stay there the next time I visit Venice. But there's only one pity thing that I would suggest the hotel to improve. Which was that the attitude of the receptionists. I stayed at Hotel Pendini for 4 nights, but everyday when we pass through the reception there's no any worming greeting no matter the receptionist had watched us or not. Made as feel like a normal hotel, like below 2-star. And there's a thing that I did really mind about was that the hotel pronounce my name wrong and put my country wrong on the receipt either.
Venice hotel”
The hotel is extremely clean and well maintained. It is in a rather remote location which can be an advantage since you are away from the crowds and foot traffic along with the noise. However since it is so remote it takes a bit of walking to get to the other side of Venice where most of the attractions are located as well as the shopping.
Great hotel, good location, very quiet”
This hotel is at the far end of Carnereggio, and for those looking to get away from the crowds, this is ideal. It is right along the canal, and there are good restaurants along this section of the canal. It is thus a quiet and more charming area. Boats stop along the canal, so you can take a boat to most of the tourist stops, or walk about 1/2 hour to the main piazza, exploring as you go The hotel itself is updated, with clean rooms, new showers with good hot water. Breakfast was a great selection of food to please all. Given its location, it is very quiet for sleeping. As mentioned by another traveler, there are disco-type lights going on, which is interesting and odd at the same time. Staff speak English, but don't expect them to go above and beyond to help. Questions are answered matter-of-factly to exactly what is asked, but I think that comes down to communication - we did no speak Italian all that well. TIP: Take the Alilaguna boat from the airport to the Guglie boat stop. We were misdirected at the airport and wound up taking a bus to the station. This was not too bad, a 15 minute walk to the hotel, but you have to cross over two bridges with lots of steps en route. Alilaguna boats stops very close to the hotel. Recommend bring your own shampoo/conditioner as well, as those supplied were not that good. Flea market very nearby at the San Giobbe Church, worth a look. Would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay there again.
Beautiful hotel!!”
On the quiet side of the island, still pretty convenient to walk everywhere. The rooms were beautiful, clean and quiet. The front desk was also very friendly and helpful. Don’t skip out on the buffet breakfast if you can. It was delicious and can definitely save you a meal that you don’t need to worry about when planning your days in Venice.
Great hotel”
We got a 70% discount when we booked the rooms and for this price the hotel was vert good value...but I would not have payed full price for this hotel as I think the rooms vere to small for the price. The standard and cleanlyness was great, so was the staff. The breakfast was in my opinion fantastic. It is difficult to find healty breakfeast, wholemeal bread etc. but they had a great selection and also loads of fresh fruit, salad and juices.
Lovely place”
It was fairly new hotel and breakfast was really good. Bed was comfortable and nice interior. It's located in off centre of Venice but it worked out it was better choice for us as you have to carry your baggage to the hotel or either use the public transport or water taxi. As the island isn't huge it's all walking distance therefore we actually really enjoyed where we stayed. One thing I would comment that on the hotel information manual stated that "Gondola ride inquiries please come and see the front desk staff" . So we asked the staff at the front desk and she knew nothing and told us "it's their business so we need to talk to them in person for any information we need to know or negotiate". One thing I would recommend to this hotel is that they shouldn't have written this down if they don't know anything about it.
Exceptional”
Gorgeous and meticulous hotel in Venice. Pictures on website match the actual hotel. Water Taxi steps away from hotel. Breakfast selection was a wide variety and tasty. 5dtar hotel.
Great Location, Hotel As Advertised ”
The hotel is about a 10 minute walk from the train station, which is important considering public transportation is a nightmare in Venice. Room was very comfortable, great bathroom, would definitely stay there again.
