Beautiful Hotel”
We stayed as a couple in a room with en-suite bathroom. Our room was very clean and the bed was comfortable with great sheets and pillows. Breakfast was very nice in the dining room with excellent service from friendly staff. Close to everything situated in the main street of Katoomba with great restaurants and bars etc. The hotel is amazing with so much history it has a really good vibe! We would highly recommend this hotel.

lovely period hotel with bags of charm. the place is beautiful and the rooms adequate whilst maintaining the feel of the period and the town. Perfect location and great staff. dont expect a modern 5* and you'll be ok. beds are comfy and plenty of facilities for rainy days or keeping kids amused.

Absolutely stunning!”
What an absolute treat it was to stay in this hotel. Despite visiting Katoomba many times before, it was the first time we really realised this hotel was here. It has room after room of old world beauty. Enjoying a drink in the bar was an absolute highlight with the gentle jazz playing. Lovely staff too.

I wish we could have spent more time at this gorgeous hotel so we could enjoy the old word charm. Staff lovely, room adorable. Only downside was the mattress was not great and the pillows could have been better.

Nostalgic”
Initially was abit difficult in locating the place, but once having the bearing; it was a Breeze. Location is really the plus point and the service of the staffs is excellent. Everyone of them is so helpful, kind n polite. And although the decor is old, but the place is kept very neat n very clean. There is absolutely no signs of let down at all. I m proud of this hotel , well done!

Memorable hotel with Perfect location”
We really enjoyed staying at the Carrington. It’s a very historic hotel with lots of old charm and many interesting things to look at, which makes this a memorable pick. The location was perfect right in the centre of Katomba close to pubs and shops. We really enjoyed playing pool in the snooker room and the breakfast in the dining hall

Absolutely stunning building inside and out with visual delights at every turn. We were here on a very cold day in May and the room was lovely and warm, in addition to being very clean, spacious and beautiful. Very old world so you have breathtaking art deco leadlight windows rather than, say, modern internal laundry facilities. There's a lady who was working in the grand dining room at breakfast who was so sweet to us and our little daughter. The Carrington is also lovely and close to so many things, not least of all the awesome little antiques shop (Macarthur's Arcade) just a tiny walk away. Hope to stay here again one day soon for longer!

Grand old dame”
The Carrington is my home away from home for regular work trips. Grand, full of character but also homely (read slightly shabby in a subtle way). It is wonderful to be able to access all the chesterfield-strewn ground floor areas (library, billiard room) as a guest. Just discovered there is an onsite massage service too.

Highly Recommended”
What a pleasant surprise this beautiful hotel was. Derek on reception when we arrived was very friendly and informative and we were able to get into our room before check in time. The hotel is very old and has many interesting nooks and crannies and the stained glass throughout is magnificent. The hotel offers a couple of different eating places as well as morning and afternoon teas but there are also several restaurants and cafes within easy walking distance if you prefer. Subway sandwich shop is next door and we enjoyed sitting in the hotel gardens whilst eating our lunch. The hotel is very centrally located and there are local bus stops right out the front and the hop on hop off bus commences its journey across the road. A Coles supermarket and liquor store is very close by. We only stayed 3 days but would have liked longer.

Old world charm with excellent location ”
We love the Carrington for its old world charm, lounges and bar, clean comfortable rooms. It’s perfect location in the dining and bar hub of the main street makes everything an easy 5 minute walk. The hardest thing is deciding where. Lovely friendly staff that went out of their way to meet our needs.
