Comfortable, cosy ... but remote
Staff performance; Friendliness; Cleanliness
Perfect for a quiet, romantic stay away from the hustle and bustle of Manila nightlife, this is the perfect location for proximity to the airport, especially if you have an early flight the next day. The location, however, was too remote and isolated to be able to go out for a meal (which had to be ordered in as a take-out from a local café) or be able to hail a cab to get somewhere. Set in an up-market residential sub-division, this establishment could be better described as a guest-house, rather than a hotel. Significantly, all the facilities were excellent and the accommodation modern, comfortable and clean. The young male attendant was polite, respectful, helpful and accommodating of all needs. He could not do enough to help which was most impressive. Transportation to the airport was by organised private transfer, and while double the price of a metered taxi, was well worth the cost for the comfort and reliability it provided. This was a valuable alternative to hotel accommodation and a great place to conclude a visit to the Philippines. For those who want to wind-down before a long flight to their next destination, this is the perfect option. It was an enjoyable experience and a place that we'd choose again.

4 stars
Staff, clean room, hot water, nice flatscreen tv with cable
It would be perfect here if they picked all their guests up from the airport. My taxi driver didn't know the area and sat in traffic for more than 2 hours, for a 20 minute ride. Don't understand 2 stars, it's way better than that. The girl taking care of the guests is very friendly and helpful, there is a small dining area and kitchen, all kept very clean.

No AC in Manila in May!
It could have been a small OK hotel for an overnight stay. But AC did not work in all rooms. Can you imagine staying in a small hotel like this one in Manila in May without AC? We were the only guests, I guess others had been forewarned. The staff moved us from one room to another but AC did not work in ALL rooms, I wonder why. Stay away from it.

Just for A stop over
Nothing particular
I chose this as it was close to the airport but it was located in a gated housing community and was not easy to find, and getting out of the compound was as challenging as finding the house in the compound. Would not refer anyone if they getting around manila is your first time.

So far so good.
Peaceful, fast internet, clean
Okay so far but a bit far from city center, can't do walking easily. Location also a bit of a puzzle.

Not a hotel
Clean rooms, self catering, friendly staff
Casa Amiga Holiday Home is not a hotel. Its a private house on a private estate. Not knowing this, was not prepared to find myself isolated at a place without any shops or stores to get provisions. The place itself is very well kept, clean, nice rooms. However, go there peak season ( January onwards ) you could find yourself sharing this holiday home with others! Lucky for me, booked 2 rooms for 1 night. Has three bedrooms, so if you book only 1 room, can find strangers using the other 2? Small kitchen, mini bar, kettle, couple of tea bags, 3-in-1 coffee sachets. So if you don't like sugar and powered milk, "tough"! There are some menu's for take-aways. The guy who calls himself "caretaker" is most happy to help with the ordering, so a bonus there. BUT, no garden to sit in, no shops or stores within miles!! The location is a private housing estate. To get to it, have to pass through a slum area that ends at the security barrier. Would not recommend Casa Amiga Uno Holiday Home unless you like staying in your room only and bringing your own provisions.

it was unusual hotel stay, if you can call it a hotel. its a villa with rooms to rent in a closed area so very safe in manila. but far from everything. best to stay overnight close to airport. staff was very nice and helpful. arranged our transfer to hotel and food delivery. the house is very modern, clean and comfortable.
