    perfect clean and excellent location”

super dupa location only steps away from Jonker street - clean rooms - super nice staff

Casa Blanca is perfectly located only steps away from the famous Jonker Street nevertheless the neighborhood is quite a night so that you will not have any problem with noise. The staff is extraordinary friendly and helpful - they are providing us with tipps and tricks for Malacca. The guest house is also providing a kitchen where you can find drinking water for free. The sheets, blankets, towels and the room itself is very clean for a budget hotel - also our room has had a AC and fan and big windows. In addition to that you can say that the internet is quite fast (up to 300 kb/s download rate) although we have had problems with the signal in our room because it was located in the rear of the house. extra information: You can go from Sentral station to main square for 1,5 RM by bus line 17. The taxi costs around 15 to 20 RM.

    Lovely Place! Will Return!”

Clean, attentive staff, relaxed, and great location

stayed at the river panoramic guesthouse for a night. river panoramic ran out of water while i was having a shower. the bathrooms were dirty and no staff on duty, rooms with mosquitoes and a little puppy crying and peeing in the lobby. it was a weekend and every decent place in town was booked. i ended up with the last spot in casa blanca guest house. at casa blanca there was staff on duty all the time who were very cheerful, attentive, and helpful. the place was very clean (lobbies, rooms and bathrooms). the atmosphere was very relaxing. the location is really close to the must visit spots yet the guest house is secluded from the hustle bustle. it is very quiet an relaxing. this is where i will stay if i return to meleka.

Helpful staff, and the added extras that were thrown in such as free washing, bikes, food and water and maps.

our stay at the casa blanca guest house was great. it took us a while to find it (opposite the casa rio hotel), but when we did we were very pleased. big rooms that were clean, with air conditioning and big comfy beds. the shared bathroom was clean with hot water, and was still close to our room. the staff are great and we were often offered free food such as mangos picked from the tree in the gardens. noodles, toast, tea, coffee and water are also free to guests. there are also good kitchen facilities for those wanting self catering.

    Home away from Home!”

Welcoming, clean, quiet hotel, close to everything!

Casa Blanca is a small guest house located close to the main shopping and eating areas of Melaka. It is also close to the river where we went for walks. The rooms are basic but extremely clean and comfortable. Clean sheets and towels as often as you wish and plenty of hot water for showering. The air conditioning is excellent. We loved the ambience of the hotel...family members always there, welcoming communal areas and kitchen with tea making facilities, fridge etc are provided. Rooms were private and quiet. It really did feel like a home away from home! Thank you Casa Blanca...we look forward to our next visit!

Near from Pubs, Restaurant and Historic places.

Don't get scared or nervous when you arrive and see guest house from outside. Inside its excellent, clean, nice, spacious room and friendly staff. Andy and Steve are excellent guys. If you are planning to stay for few days, you can cook in shared big kitchen, you have to do clean up on your own though. Thumbs up for Casa Blanca :) I will surely recommend this guest house to anyone. If I visit Melaka again I will go to this guest house than expensive and flashy hotels.

    Pleasant 'homestay' in Melaka”

    Location, friendly staff, homey atmosphere

We had a pleasant stay at Casa Blanca, which is indeed more like a homestay in feel. The guest house is located just a couple blocks away from Chinatown and Jonker street, in a quiet, residential neighborhood. The owners are super friendly - they invited us to eat with them a couple times - and helpful in booking onward travel. Guests may use their laundry machines and the kitchen, where free drinking water is provided. There were several mosquitoes in our room the first night we were there, but after that it wasn't an issue. Overall we thought Casa Blanca was a great value, and we would stay there again if we ever return to Melaka.

I'm falling in love with this house,, Feel like at home, warm, and very clean.. For the location, I think this house has best location, only take 5 minutes to go to Jonker street and 3 minutes to Malacca river. Feelin at home during stay

This is the second time we have stayed at Casa Blanca Guest House. What we like best about it is the homely feeling, given its setting and complete with communal kitchen facilities. Great location too; Jonker Street, where we frequent the night market which opens on Friday thru Sunday, is just a block away.

nice owner and staff, good location, good price

Took us a while to find Casa Blanca, but actually it's not that hard to find it: just opposite Casa del Rio Melaka which is a 5 star hotel near by Melaca River. Walking distance to Jonker Street and other tourist attractions.Room is not huge but good enough for its price. Clean and tidy. The owners and staff are very nice so you could easily make friends with them. They gave us a lot of help. Not every room has private bathroom so do remember to book the one you want.

The place is affordable and quiet even though it was located a 5 minutes walk from Jonker walk. The place was spacious with a living room for you to relax. There is also a kitchen for guests to cook or make hot drinks. The private shower room we stayed in had hot water and a tub. Both the owner and staffs are friendly and helpful. Funny stay at a very friendly & welcoming place”

    Staff, Location, Rooms

First of all finding the place was a bit difficult: turns out the address listed is not where you will find the entrance to the guest house, it is the rear of the house which will only occasionally be crowded - so don't go to Jalan Laksamana 2 but instead head to the opposite side of the house on Jalan Laksamana 1 where you'll see a big sign and the entrance to the guesthouse. our room was very big and the shared bathroom was in an alright condition at any time. The staff was very welcoming and the place had the feeling of staying with a big family. A very pleasent stay. Location was great as well, short walk to major attractions of the city. Would recommend any time to stay at Casa Blanca.

Very friendly owners, next to Jonker street ”

Good location, rooms are relatively fine

I like the hotel for: (1) Its location: very close to the Jonker street. In fact, Melaka is quite a small town, and everything is centered around this Jonker/Dutch Square area. From the hotel, you can walk to almost all attraction sites. In fact, I like that the hotel is close, but not actually located in the Jonker street because it's extremely crowded, noisy and might not be very clean in this area. If you go by bus from Kuala Lumpur, from Melaka Sentral you can take a taxi to the hotel or take the local bus #17 to the Dutch square. Walk to the other side (Jonker street part), turn left, walk along the river, and make another right turn. The guesthouse is kind of opposite to Casa del Rio hotel, which you can see from afar. The taxi would cost you MR 20 while the bus would take you RM 1.3 only. The bus is quite crowded on the way to the center, but it was not bad. (2) The second thing I like about the hotel is its owners. They are quite nice, friendly and you can get to know a lot about the city by seating on the couch and talk to them. (3) The room was quite spacious. I got a room with private bath and the balcony (from which you can see the parking lot :P). But it's nice, though, you can walk outside of your room and have a quick snack. The bathroom was not really new, but it works. We stayed in Melaka for 1 day so that was not the huge problem for me. In the end, the rate of the room was $25 so it's a really good value overall.

    Really large room”

fast internet, near to attractions, close to a delicious restaurant

cons: as per the review of the others, we expected to be greeted. However, it seems as no one was there when we arrived though we informed the owner our arrival time. The person attended us doesn't speak english and was hard for us to ask some information. it was hard to find a taxi on our way back to malacca sentral bus station. pros: very large room for a very cheap price. not to mention the balcony was huge too! internet was fast. check-in was fast since they already expected our arrival (but no proper greeting) since the person attended us can't speak english, good thing that the paper he gave us already have information about major sights in malacca. check out was fast. near casa del rio so if felt like a five-star stay. a lot of taxi drivers from malacca sentral station know the place so it was easy to locate the guesthouse. to sum it up, I recommend the guesthouse for everyone.

I really love this guest house. It's very homey, comfortable, and quiet. We got very big room at the second floor. The staff is friendly and welcome. No need to pay hotel tax. The location is very near to Jonker street and other tourist attractions. I absolutely will comeback to this accomodation if I ever visit Malacca again.

    Nice ”

Good location, cozy&convenient, good quality and price ratio

It took us a while to look for it from the Dutch square where we got off the bus No.17. The guesthouse is kind of opposite a 5 star hotel. Shoes are required to take off when entering the guesthouse. We booked 2 twin rooms at first, but because we have 4 female family members, the owner suggested that we should take a family suite. It turned out to be great...it was a very spacious room with two big beds, a bathroom and a balcony. There was also a kitchen downstairs where u can cook some food by urself, and we cooked a lot there, because some of our family members are not a big fan of the food in melacca:) The kittens there are very adorable..everyday I have to play with them for a while. There are also a reading area and a balcony next to the lobby where u can do some reading or just sit around and relax. I even enjoyed staying here than the melacca city, If I got another chance to visit malacca, I would choose this guesthouse again.

    Excellent location”

Cheap, clean and close to major tourist attractions.

we had a great time staying at casa blanca. the rooms and the shared bathroom are clean. the location is superb since it is within a walking distance to jonker's walk and other major attractions in melaka. the owner provides self-serviced maggie mee and bread + strawberry jam for breakfast. coffee and tea are also available.

nice guesthouse. friendly owner, clean rooms”

laundry service, fridge (kitchen), tidy rooms

we had a great stay at casa blanca guesthouse. the rooms and bathroom are clean, you can wash your dirty clothes for free. there is a attached kitchen with everything you need, where you can make yourself breakfast/lunch/dinner, if you want to. the guesthouse is quite central, near to jonker street, but more quiet. there are a lot of good restaurants/ a hawker stall nearby. the owner is very friendly and helps you whenever you have a question.

Great Location but Lack of maintenance”

The location to the tourist area is fantastic.

Starting with the Pros: 1. The location is fantastic and for its price, it is certainly worth its value. However, here are the cons: The Room that I was given #9, which has a private shower, has the following areas that can be better: 1. Air-con: it is not cold enough, despite turning it down to the lowest settings. It could be under-powered or needs servicing. 2. The Bathroom has a Bathtub, but is nowhere usable with no stopper available. 3. The Water Pressure of the Shower is very low. 4. There is no shower curtains and the water from showering ends up splashing out on the floor, making it wet and slippery. 5. The Floral Bedsheets are too tacky and dated. When you shout out CasaBlanca, you think of White, Sunsets of the Moroccan City, not deep dark floral colours. As for the Environment, it is nice and quiet at night, despite being a short walk from the famous Jonker Street. Suggestions on how Casablanca can be a better place which would definitely improve its overall value and ratings would be: 1. Clean up the area in front of the Lodgings, under the trees around the car park area. There was a lot of rubbish thrown there and even open containers where mosquitos were breeding. While it is not under Casa Blanca's property, cleaning it up will make the entrance more pleasant for the guest. 2. There is an altar right in front of the main entrance. Most guest should be fine with it, however, it does appearing offensive to some guests, we were amongst those. 3. There is a area boarded up in front of the entrance, right next to the huge tree. This caused a large part of the entrance to be blocked from view, making the location harder to find. Do remove it. 4. Give the place a make-over in small areas such as shower curtains, bathtub stoppers, and new bedsheets that are not so flowery and dreary. Think Plain Brighter colours like Hotels.

    Great location and family feeling”

    100m from Jonker street

My stay at Casa Blanca was fine; the only slightly odd thing was the fact that everybody has to remove his shoes before entering the guest house and when entering the toilette there are some shared flip flops used by everyone. Andy the guy in charge of the check in is very helpful giving suggestions and dirtections on where to go and what to do in Melacca. Rooms are basic, but clean; some finishing and a little more of furniture would make the stay even more comfortable.
