Near downtown el nido”
Walking distance to the jump off point of el nido tours. Opposite a cafe, laundry and massage services. A lot of places to eat nearby. Only downside is the weak water supply. We showered at their common shower area downstairs.
Great stuff and location”
The hotel is near the beach which is awesome and the guy from the reception Jayare is awesome. Everything was fine. Cons for the staying: the water in the shower was not working properly and no wardrobe. I recommend the hotel and the stuff was great
Satisfying stay, Cleanliness can be improve”
We would like to thanks the receptionist who helped us a lot during our stay! He answer patiently all of our queries & even helped us negotiate the price for tricycle to the beach. I'm so sorry that I'd forgotten his name. Cleanliness of the room not really satisfying honestly. Spider web, flies, mosquitoes, bad odors...... Strategic location to access to beach, bakery & restaurants. Overall is consider a good one but only for short stay.
Friendliest Staffs ”
First of all, we met the owner and she was very kind and accommodating.. I think she taught her staff to do the same.. we really felt their hospitality during our entire stay.. whenever we request for something, they do their best to satisfy our needs.. the hotel was very clean and the location is perfect... i will definitely come back and recommend it to anyone... Thank you Casa Cecilia...
Good location, friendly staff! ”
We spent 4 days 3 nights in Casa Cecilia. We all had a goodnight sleep, electricity is available throughout the day. We arrived at 7pm and el nido is almost pitch black; however, power is available in the hotel including aircon. Wifi is also available in the room. We are located at room 204. As commented by other reviewers, casa cecilia is centrally located - thus, you will have access to everything and the beach is 2 or 3 minutes away. The size of the room is ok and fits 4 adults and 1 child. In terms of price, I believe its value for money compared to other hotels offered in Agoda. It also includes plated breakfast but no choices. Disadvantages: no tv even in the rooms or lobby. Early checkout at 10am but they allowed us to extend for another hour. It is our first time in el nido. We availed of both Tour A and Tour C; we enjoyed tour A better since we were able to do kayaking in several islands while doing island hopping. Tour A includes the big and small lagoon which are usually included in some local or foreign movies. The water of el nido is crystal clear, its like swimming in an endless aquarium with corals and fishes. Try also to do kayaking from the port to the nearest island like we did - it refreshing and enjoyable and can be done in 30 minutes or less. If you are a group of 4 or more, it is best to hire a private boat rather than paying the individual rates like we do. It would maximized your time and truly enjoy the view. You may contact Joseph - 0999 709 3300 for details. We are only 7 in the group but he gave us a boat that would fit 15 or 20 people. You may also recommend the food that will be prepared for your lunch in the island. Room Tip: Choose the room at the back. Like in our case 204, it has view of the cliff.
Elegant El Nido”
Our stay in Casa Cecilia was pleasant. It was located just a minute walk from the main beach area and had a lovely rooftop balcony where we had our breakfast. Ate Len and Ate Diane made our stay pleasant by being wonderful hosts, giving us tips and always ready to help. We also liked the island-hopping tour they helped us book - the guides were informative and helpful. Overall, value for money, clean and comfortable stay!
Nice and friendly ”
Very welcoming and friendly staff. Cappuccino in the cafe is amazing!!! Location is good for island hopping but a bit noisy and too much hustle for more than 1 night.
Such a nice place!
Need to change the window and to install the double glazing ”
The hotel is well located but a lot of noise the morning due to the non installation of double glazing. No possibility to enjoy the morning at bed due to the noise done by the traffic in the street. Otherwise good hotel and ggod location to explore El Nido
Very considerate! We were able to maximize our stay, staff let us use the storage and shower facilities!
The staff was very helpful and the place was clean”
Everything was real close to the hotel
Really enjoyed our stay ”
Good location, really friendly staff, clean and comfortable rooms with great AC. Only complaint would be the breakfast which has been of a pretty low standard everywhere we've been in the Philippines anyway so no biggie. Would stay again.
Pros - Location (2-3min walk to the beach) - Friendly staff (Wakes you up 30mins before your tour starts and gives you towel to wipe on your feet when you head back from the beah) - Tour (Offers tour right on the hotel lobby) - Facilities ( Excellent AC and Working hot shower, Smoking area per floor) Cons - 3rd floor rooms, can hear the staff setting up the tables and chairs starting 4:30am. Summary - Will book here again on our next visit!
Close to perfection”
It's been my second time around El Nido and definitely I would recommend Casa Cecilia to anyone who's traveling to El Nido. The location is perfect as it is situated on the main road, just a few meters from the beach, near everything (convenience stores, restaurants, souvenir shops, tour organizers) tho El Nido is really a small town and it's almost impossible for anyone to get lost around the town. The place is well maintained I can say, no rubbish loitering, and the place has a positive vibe you can feel upon entering its premises. The staff are very friendly and hospitable also and listens to every concern of each guest and makes it a point to meet the expectation and requests of the guests to the best they could. The facilities are good, the basic necessities you need in an accommodation, hot and cold shower, T.V., air-conditioning, comfortable beds and clean toilet and bath. The price is a little bit above average I think but it's definitely worth it. I would recommend this place.
The staff here are exceptional! They are super friendly and assisted us with arranging all of our tours. The breakfast was delicious and the hotel was conveniently located next to a bakery. The hotel is older, and the water pressure was quite weak. The running water has a scent to it, but if you let it run a little bit, it's usable. I liked the spaciousness of the rooms, and the A/C worked well. We enjoyed this hotel because it was simple and exactly what we needed, and we thought it was great value for money. The staff truly made it a wonderful stay. I would recommend this place for sure!
A good hotel in El Nido”
Two friends teavelling. Got a twin room. Both beds big doubles. Location is good as close to everything yet off the main street. There's a coffee shop that does 'real' coffee although a bit expensive. Shower and bathroom worked well, just like the AC which was a bit noisy...that is common in the Philippines. The TV also had some English talking channels which was great. Basically a good standard hotel. The only thing that's a minus is that it's a lot cheaper if you book onsite rather than online... we didn't have the choice as travelling at Christmas which is a busy sold-out period.
The only thing I would recommend for improvement is the water supply of the shower, could be given more pressure for the 2nd floor we stayed in but it was sufficient and warm. But for the price we paid altogether the place was surprisingly exceeding expectation. We booked the Deluxe Room adding a single mattress but even for a family of 5 with 3 teenagers the room was sufficient and comfortable. From the reception to the hallways to our 2nd floor room including the comfort room and up to the rooftop breakfast area, all were surprisingly clean and as presentable as it looked on the photos. Breakfast was just as satisfying and all the staff were brilliant specially Jenny who helped us even with booking for our transfer from Puerto Princesa. We felt like we were regular customers when it was only our first visit. Thanks Casa Cecilia, we wont hesitate to book with you next time we visit.
Good location for Island Hopping tour at El Nido”
We are a group of 20. So we booked 2 family (5pax each) and 2 deluxe (4pax each). This is an inn not a hotel. Pricey compared to new inns at PPS. Maybe that's how they charge in El Nido. Plated breakfast has no option, they have set meals for each day, for all guests. Staffs are friendly and accommodating, we had to check out at 4am, they made us sandwiches and coffee because we were too early for their breakfast. Rooms are standard. I did not see a better inn nearby. Most are small and old. Stayed 2 nights here.
Staff were very courteous and helpful. Location is close to the beach and the port for the island hopping! Also near to stores and church. the bakery beside the hotel sells good spanish bread! comments for improvement: - shower pressure is not that strong - to have breakfast choices, at least 2 choices overall, we really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. definitely recommended! 👍
Very good little hotel with great staff!”
We stayed here for 6 days, location is central with several shops/restaurants around, actually the whole town is very small so everything is accessible within 3-5 minutes. Clean, cosy room, hot water, good breakfast, helpful, kind staff, they help you renting scooters, arranging tours, etc.. Recommended!
