Great place to relax”
This place is very relaxing. A great choice if you want to be away from crowded areas. I am very happy because I wanted to celebrate my birthday somewhere I can unwind and just relax and this place is the right place.
Beautiful beachfront hotel”
The location is excellent.. you get your own private strip by the beach, at the same time the hotel is just a few meters from the bustling center. The hotel is also located right in front of Dos Hermanos Islands; we managed to walk to the island when the tide was low and saw a lot of marine wildlife still thriving by the shore. Hopefully they can keep the area well protected so we can enjoy more of these views when we come back.
First time in Ilocos Norte / Padugpud”
This was our first time in Ilocos Norte. We spent three nights at the resort. The accommodation and the service were all outstanding, The food was great and all staff was very friendly. Chad, the person in charge was very helpful and he helped us to organize our outings around the region and gave us very useful tips and advice. We can only recommend Casa Consuelo Resort to all who plan a trip to Ilocos Norte. There are nice beaches close to the resort as well therefore you do not miss out on the beach experience just because Ilocos Norte is north of Manila.
Good place to unwind if you don't want a very crowded resort in Pagudpud”
My husband and I celebrated our anniversary in Casa Consuelo last August. It was a really long drive and we were both exhausted from the drive up. Our room was adequate and we woke up fresh and well rested the next day. Food was affordable and they served us good barako coffee. The staff were very courteous and extremely accommodating (we checked in at almost 9pm, again, long drive lol). But what you'd be paying for would be the seclusion and THE VIEW! The white sand and unbelievably clear water (unfortunately, their part of the beach is not fit for swimming). They do have a swimming pool so that part is covered. I think this place is perfect for getting away from the city noise. Personally, I could just chill out with some beer and a good book with the waves in the background and it would be perfect.
A serene place to relax and enjoy the scenery ”
Stayed for 1 night (07-08 April) 1 Loft Villa & 1 Triplex Uno 7 Adults and 3 children PROS: Peaceful surrounding. Most of the customers seem to be educated/decent people who are just looking for a place to relax/chill. Clean resort with ample parking space Delicious food but a little pricey. No vendors in the resort approaching you selling shell necklaces or whatsoever. CONS: No welcome drink. We asked their assistant for something to drink as we came from a very long drive and she gave us a pitcher of water with lots of ice. Drinking water is fine but it will be a lot better if they have a container of juice/iced tea ready for self service. FIRST IMPRESSION IS VERY IMPORTANT Madam Owner! No complimentary coffee or tea in both rooms. Only water in a pitcher...again. Hygiene kits provided in the rooms are unacceptable. Resort's beach area is not swimmable but I do not mind driving 1.5km going to the blue lagoon to enjoy a blue water beach. Just pay 50pesos for parking in the area Free breakfast is delicious but not fulfilling as the serving is very small (1 egg, 2 small sausages and a SMALL cup of fried rice) Summary: If you want a peaceful and relaxing stay, book in this hotel If you want a noisy, festive stay, go to Hannah's resort If you are a noisy/scandalous person/group, please don't stay in this resort To the owner, improve your hygiene kits, complimentaries and welcome drinks
Small bungalow complex”
Average premises, unkempt “garden”, clean room, good food, but on the expensive side. Unusable beach during low tide due to dead / broken corals and rocks. Pleasant pool. Swimming area 1,5km away. All day long non stop high bass music (to create “beach feel” according to owner, as though the beach itself wouldn’t do the job), which destroys the serenity of the place. Sad surrounding area; “Blue Lagoon” beach is a huge euphemism. If it ever was lovely, it is now an eyesore due to out of control “development”. Two hours journey from Laoag on a tortuous road for this.
We never wanted to leave. ”
We originally booked our Triplex Casa room for the sembreak but typhoon Rosita came. CasaCon allowed us to rebook within November. Our stay last Nov 17-19 was pure bliss. We loved the family-run resort. The infinity pool was a nice touch because the beachfront was not sandy, not suitable for swimming. It was clean but full of corals. We enjoyed our short walk to Dos Hermanos where we collected shells and looked for tetras and guppies trapped by the low tide. For swimming, we walked over to the public beach near Hannah's (about 20 mins.). The rooms were spacious, food was good (seafood platter FTW). People were very nice (Shoutout to ate Venus), accommodating (she allowed to store our sandwich spreads in their kitchen's fridge) and courteous, even the owners, Ms. Armi and Ala. The place was really beautiful and the decor and landscaping were well thought out. Of you are looking for a quiet place, away from the crowd, this is the resort for you. We will surely stay here again should we come back to Pagudpud.
Room: - broken toilet seat - broken faucet - no hot water - broken tissue holder - there are small cockroaches and spiders - old bathroom/rusted - aircon works properly - cable tv clear Restaurant: - average to good taste of food - advance order required Facilities: - nice pool but small - cottages are ok - wifi connection not stable in some areas of the resort Staff: - nice, courteous and accommodating Overall impression: - quiet, relaxing, far from the hustle area of Pagudpud - no Globe signal - rooms need improvement, nicer in the pictures (agoda)
Will Definitely Be Back”
We will definitely be back. We love the place. So relaxing. 1 night is not enough.
Gloomy and windy stay”
Room was big enough and was just basic. Bathroom needs an update. Sheets had a smell maybe coz it was rainy when we were there. We did not enjoy our time in Pagudpud. The place is overrated. Even in summer I wouldn't recommend this tourist spot. Save your money and go to Coron.
Beautiful, Quiet Resort”
The place is as pretty as in the pictures! Rooms are very basic so don't expect too much. Food is okay. The restaurant is convenient. Staff is friendly. The beach is indeed a reef so definitely no swimming here. View is beautiful though and lounging in by the pool is wonderful when there aren't a lot of guests.
Bad points: The beach front was not intended for swimming, you can go snorkel but only during summer time when the waves are calm, swimming area is 1km away. Our room is loft type the extra mattresses that were given to us is disgusting, its old the sheets are dirty, and kinda wet cause it is stocked in an open area and it is raining, the comfort room is hella disgusting there are a lot of cockroach, we have to ask for insect spray so we can kill ‘em. Water pressure is bad. Another bummer is that the area don’t have wifi not even phone signal for Globe subscribers and completely dead signal inside the rooms. They have a wifi which I noticed it is just a pocket wifi located at the dining area so it is very very slow. Good points. The staff were friendly and nice The ambience of the place was nice
Pros staff was extremely friendly, food was amazing. Place was a very relaxing and quiet. It’s a great place. Cons was showering with tabo (bucket) the place had insects and walls wasn’t clean. Need more blankets
A peaceful place to reflect”
We really appreciate the friendly staff of the place. Even when there was a sudden power interruption, they offerred help to provide for our need. Thanks and keep it up!
(+) Staff were warm and very accommodating specially Venus, location was quiet, relaxing, and peaceful, it is walking distance to a fish sanctuary where we had a good snorkelling experience, pool was refreshing given the warm weather, restaurant food is delicious, seating facilities (e.g. pillows, hammocks) in the beach where you can relax and enjoy the view of the beach (-) music played at bar is not relaxing (but staff turned the music off upon request), pillows and room are smelly (staff provided room spray and deodorizer upon request). Suggestion to the management: (1) play relaxing music or no music at all to suit the resort ambiance. The waves and sounds of birds are perfect enough. (2) change your pillows. They are really smelly that it makes the room smelly. But besides these, we really loved our stay and would like to come back
Relaxing and Serene! Definitely the best place in blue lagoon! ”
If you want something away from the crowd to chill and relax then this is this the best place! Upon arriving the owner, Chard, welcomed us and discussed some house rules and showed us the map of area that we should visit. We arrived at around 9 am so the room that we booked is still occupied but when the other guest left they allowed us to checked-in earlier which is very nice of them. The resort have there own resto which serves a very good Filipino foods. We stayed at the triplex uno room it has it own porch with hammock and tables. The room has a very romantic, rustic, and native vibe. This is a best place for couples and family gathering, very intimate. The comfort room is a typical traditional house cr nothing fancy. With the facilities they have there own swimming pool, hammocks by the beach, large pillows where you can use to hang out on the beach, volleyball net, and a receiving area where you can stay and chill. The also have good music playing all day.
This property has got to be the best view of Blue Lagoon Pagudpod plus Dos Hermanis Island. The privste beach is a perfect getaway from the maddening crowd of the public beach. Fresh seafood served at tgeir restaurant topped the experience.
Away from the noise. Had a great time listening to the sound of waves until night time. My hubby and I could have slept outside at the nipa hut for the sound and the fresh air was so relaxing! Loved the place and would definitely come back. Nothing too fancy here. Not as modern as the more commercialized beach properties.... but just as what we like. Great place to relax.
Meeting to Exceeding Expectation”
Value for Money. Casa Consuelo Resort is a bit pricey compared to other resorts/hotel/apartment/transient house. But the place is worth the price. We even had upgrade during our visit. Thanks for the generosity of the owner and somehow thanks to the fair weather because they only had few guests. Location. If you want a secluded and very private space by the ocean, you would have to be patient in reaching Casa Consuelo. It is actually the last resort in Blue Lagoon's stretch where Dos Hermanos Island is situated. Just be careful on the way because the road conditions are still in progress. So like the photos, it's true that there are rock formations near the shore and it would really be too bad to miss a photo for IG. Also, if only we had the time, there are many activities to choose from like, snorkeling, surfing, hiking, etc. Cleanliness. We had no question with the cleanliness. It actually exceeded our expectation especially inside the comfort room. Around the place, you’ll see how upkeeps are done like no signs of dusts and litter in the pavilion, hammocks are all good, visible staff wiping off the windows etc. Staff. The staff were all attentive and smiling. Facilities. The infinity pool and hammocks made our experience very satisfying. The landscapes, architecture and interiors were so homey. Parking is spacious! We wish for an improvement of the lighting inside the room. Other than that, I'm excited to return there for a longer time during a better season. :)
a true hidden treasure”
While on the way to Casa Consuelo, we got slightly worried as to the obscurity of the place. Tucked away at the end of a dirt track, this place proved to be a true hidden gem. With epic views of the beach and coastline, warm service from the heart by Chad and his team, and a sick poolside, this is in my opinion an excellent place for a nice getaway from the hustle and bustle. I would like to add that food prices in the beach resort are slightly above the average food prices in Iloscos Norte as there isn't much food options around the resort. However the local food served at the resort is nice!
