Exceptional”
We had a great time in Casa de la playa. The resort is beautiful, looks like oasis. The room was huge for just the two of us and the beach is lovely. We saw the pretiest sunset in the Philipines here. Overall it was the best stay in the Philipines for us, so far.

Love love loved it! ”
Such a great place to stay! Beautiful, simple, quiet, peaceful. Food is good, staff is extremely friendly. Pretty far north up the island away from all the commotion. Perfect views from beachfront cottage! Awesome little coral reef just off the shore with HUGE orange starfish. Would have loved to stay longer, would definitely stay again! Wouldn't have wanted to stay anywhere else...truly believe it's one of the best spots on the island after driving around the entire island and seeing other places.

Lovely peaceful hideaway”
Fantastic room right by the sea with beautiful views and amazing sunsets Very nice and friendly staff Very tasty food Close to Larena for shops and ferry Very nice room with comfortable beds Had to wait a while for food but it was cooked fresh so no problem Only had small freezer so no ice-cream and ran out of ice Wash room needs a makeover but everything worked including hot water

If you seek peace and quiet, this is not the place!”
This was my second stay here. Great location and amazing potential, but sadly it fell very short of the mark both stays. First stay was six month or so ago and dinner every night was marred by the noise of children. Since i thought it was an anomaly caused by a guest with children, i gave the facility another chance recently. The same couple and their noisy children made the dining area sound like a day care facility. It appeared that the owner and offending family are related, as they were still there after many intervening months. Breakfast was far beyond disappointing and grossly overcharged for the quality served. Homemade bread was excellent, eggs mediocre, the ham was a slice of luncheon meat and the sausage was the WORST ive ever tasted. To top the food disappointment was the beatbox noise flooding into the restaurant from the owners residence as well as the noise of chain saws that continued ALL DAY! Stay elsewhere!

The remoteness and the calmness of the beach location are what you come here for. ”
The place is not super modern or big which is what you come here for ... If that's not what your looking for, Siquijor has other resorts that might fit ... We stayed 5 nights at one of the ocean front cottages in the local style. It had a nice porch that is directly at the beach/ocean and on high tide waves come crushing to your door step. Porch has a hammock, table and chairs, nice lighting and also a bench ... This feeling of just chilling there viewing and listening to the ocean was what made absolute chilling vacation days for us. The cottage is small and settled into the nature so you have some ants and stuff ... But all windows are with mosquito nets and for us that worked. Only fan in our hut (ac in others available) but the ocean breeze and shower (no hot water) did it for us. We also had a fridge and little kitchen for taking our own meals at the ocean front. They also have a restaurant with tasty food and decent prices. Wifi is great and speedy at restaurant and ocean.

Lovely property, but the wait staff could use some “training”.

If you want to chill and peace and quiet in a excellent beach setting , then this is it ”
If you want to peace and quiet in an excellent beach setting with a house reef and awesome sunset , then this is the place . The gimmick places and other food restaurants are not here , they are in the other side of the island .

Nice and quiet place”
It's a good place to stay and the cost is average and very near to the port. But their beach has a lot of sea urchins so be careful, you need to find a good spot tl swim

Good”
Very relaxing place but could get boring if you plan to stay in. Note that the beach is at low tide from noon onwards so you have to walk far before you can swim. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Room is cozy but can use better pillows.

Very good”
From the port Casa de la Playa Beach Resort is about 30 minutes away on a tricycle 350php. There are no shops or restaurants within walking distance except the restaurant on sight which does serve very nice food.I hired a scooter from the port 1000php for 4 days or the resort charge 350php a day.You will need your car licence and to sign a rental agreement and wear a helmet on Sequijor to ride a scooter. We stayed at a beach front cottage which was at the bottom of 42 steps down to the beach, when the tide is in the waves touch the steps to the cottage its a beautiful location and view. The cottage was quite old but quaint with 2 burner gas cooker, sink and fridge in the little kitchen. the double bed was comfy and shower pressure good but only cold water. It was so relaxing to sit outside with the view of the sea the mountains in the distance and the clouds. However its not a private beach and at night there are people fishing and collecting shellfish on foot and in boats in the sea close to the cottage using flashlights. There were several nights the power went off for hours sometimes so i advise taking a good flashlight as its very dark there when the lights go out. The staff at the resort were very friendly and helpful.

Paradise.”
We came to the island for a 4 day short break. That was over three weeks ago. We have now extended our stay for an extra two months. Cassa de la Playa is so relaxing it is unbelievable. The food in the Pagoda restaurant is great. You can spend hours snorkeling just outside your villa. There are a couple of bars within a couple of minutes walk. Laundry service and WiFi in the bar. Certainly worth a visit.

Wonderful Resort on a Secluded Beach”
We stayed in one the air conditioned rooms overlooking the beach. The room was excellent and the view indescribable. One of the most memorably stays of my life on a lovely small island at a fantastic resort. Staff was very accomodating and friendly and resort is perfectly situated. The gardens and decor of the resort was very well done, good food in the restaurant and a white sand private beach. Highly recommend.

Beautiful setting but very remote ”
We stayed four nights at Casa De La Playa. It has a beautiful beachfront setting ,and nice gardens . The room overlooked the sea ,and we could go to sleep and wake to the sound of the waves. The room was a decent size , wifi was patchy in room but better in reception. The staff like you to pre order your dinner an hour before arriving at the restaurant , which was a first for me , but no big deal. The big negative for me , was the location . The hotel is a good 10 minute walk uphill to the main road to wait for the occasional trike or multi cab to come past . There are no shops anywhere near , and we found only one other small restaurant further along the beach . The nearest town is around 20 mins ride away. Hiring a scooter ,is a must if you would like to enjoy the beach and solitude on offer, but for us it was just too far away from everywhere .

Nice place”
First I want to thank the hotel for allowing me to cancell ladst year due to a death. So I rebooked for this year. a wonderful view. The beach is small but nice. The Restaurant had good food. The room did have a few ants a spider and a lizard. I had no issues with that because not many. The place is a 10 minute walk to the main road where transportation is cheaper into town. They wanted 300 pesos to take you to port. We got for 200. They are nice and would stay again if I visit the island again. Internet wasnt great but it worked.

Wonderful! Came back again!”
This is a great spot! Larena has a port and there’s way less people here than San Juan. Lovely staff ‘ Real coffee, yummy food... a little pricey BUT... the location makes up for it. You can walk right from the beach for amazing snorkeling! We had hot water, air con and a fridge in our room. Sometimes the electricity is off during the day. .

An enjoyable stay”
Lovely food, pretty good location right next to Larena Port, so when myself and my boyfriend didn't arrive until 12pm, it was easy to get to. James and his team made our stay, he is a ray of sunshine that makes you feel right at home. Also cheap motorbike hire for 350 pesos for the day!

Beach front but dated”
It is very difficult to write a bad review considering how well we were treated during a festival that was happening during our stay. The welcome is warm and cheery the food was ( free during this festival ) very good local fare. What let's this place down even though the location is stunning are the rooms. Simple is good, but really does need some renovation and better plumbing fixtures even by Philippine standard. Even though this is not our first visit here, I think it may be our last, such a shame because siquijor is a beautiful island.

peaceful. beachfront. great food.”
Staff were very helpful. The food was excellent. Generous servings. No generator. Can be a problem during blackouts on the island. Our beachfront room was far from the front desk and there was no phone in our room. Had to call them on my mobile to ask for a lamp. At high tide, the water comes up to outside our casa's entrance. Cant get anymore beachfront than this! Water's very blue. The shore is a bit rocky but there is soft white sand just a few feet from the shore. There was zero to poor signal in our room for smart/globe. Which is a plus if you are trying to get away from it all. I recommend this place for peaceful vacations.
