Home Away from Home”
1. Allows early check-in for free if there are no prior guests occupying the rooms 2. The staff are friendly and attentive (Ms.Joy and Ms.April) 3. Allows late check out for an additional price (500 for me, 5 hrs extension) 4. Good quality of food for a reasonable value (fruit platter with yoghurt, honey and granola, 68 pesos) 5. Very fast internet connection! :D 6. Very comfortable bed and pillows Feedback on the shower of the room I occupied: the water is either too hot or too cold and I was hoping the flow of water of the shower can be stronger. In general, Casa Escaño is a really good place to stay in when in Cebu City.

Comfort of a home with the luxury of a hotel”
I would like to say thank you to all the staff there for being so helpful, accommodating and attentive to my needs. Casa Escano did not disappoint. The only flaw in Casa Escano is the shower in the room where I stayed is either too hot or too cold which is why I had to frequently shift the control of the hot/cold regulator when I take a bath. I was also hoping that the flow of water can be stronger. Anyway, the good points in Casa Escano outweigh the bad. I requested from the staff (Ma'am Joy) if they would kindly allow me to check in early too without paying extra and she agreed to do so as long as there is a room available (no current occupants in the room). Lucky for me, I was able to check in early for free! They also allowed me to check out late (5 pm, as long as no one will occupy the room next) for an extra fee of only 500 pesos. The bed and pillows were so comfortable. The tv, though small, had good reception and various channels both local and international. They also had fast wifi all throughout the day. You have a variety of food to choose from in their restaurant, Don Merto's. I highly suggest the fruit platter which was delicious (with yogurt, honey, and granola)and a really big serving for the price of 68 pesos. A lot of Cebuanos themselves dine there so I guess that's enough proof of the quality of their food. I personally like the consistency of the staff smiling and greeting me whenever I pass by them. It's as if I've been there for a long time when actually I've just arrived a few hours ago. I really felt like I was a special guest but a part of the community (not foreign) at the same time. In summary, I would really recommend Casa Escano to those who will travel in Cebu. I would even continue to stay in their place when I go back to Cebu soon.

Good quiet location 10 mins walk from Fuente Omena”
de luxe room a bit small, but clean and comfortable. a refrigerator was provided on request. extremely friendly and helpful staff. one of the better hotels we've stayed at in cebu (regular visitors) and we will stay there again. for people not familiar with cebu it is better to ask airport taxi driver for "cebu vacation hotel" and when you arrive, the casa escana is on the opposite side of the street, most taxi drivers have not heard of casa escana, but all know vacation hotel. the quiet location in the centre of the city was an unexpected bonus, there is usually some traffic noise in cebu hotels, but casa escana was a welcome exception. cable tv provided all major international channels, including bbc world, cnn, nat geo and discovery plus movie and filipino channels. wi-fi for internet first class, good speed and no interruptions of service, perfect for skype calls home.

Ticked all the boxes for us!”
we stay in cebu a lot and particularly past 5 years and this was the best hotel so far. very good value for money compared to what is around. location is good, nice and quiet, no smog coming into the room as we stayed in the ground level rooms with garden outside. room was clean & of good size, as was the bathroom. our request of refrigerator was granted at only a small extra charge per day. internet in our room was fantastic - able to stream! the service was very good and the food great. the breakfast was the best so far of the hotels we have stayed at in cebu. we really appreciated the welcome cold fruit drink, especially after our ride from the airport took longer than usual due to more traffic than the norm. the service was always with a smile and the staff went above & beyond other accommodation houses we have stayed at in cebu. very happy! we will be back again & again. thank you casa escano b&b!!!!

Fantastic place with charm & friendliness”
i was there just for 1 night. it was great to find the casa on the internet, which was a last minute decision to add 1 night in cebu city. fantastic place, great charm and ambience, fantastic friendly service, clean and well organized, great location, quiet, peacefull, clean......., highly recommended even for a longer stay very suitable. the casa has a great family history in private ownership since over 60 years, original a family house for a local cebu business family, converted into guest hous and restaurant. the owner mother still there and around, sipping on her tea in her 'former living room'.....really very special in all means!

A relaxing Oasis in the middle of busy Cebu”
I can't say enough about this wonderful and beautiful bed and breakfast. From the cleanliness of the whole place to the fine food and to the friendliness of the owners and the staff, when I come to Casa Escano it is like visiting close family/friends and my only waypoint in Cebu. After over 6 months since my last stay the whole staff remembered me called me by name and greeted me as if we where life long friends..... which I truely feel about each of the staff/ownered at Casa Escano. If you pass up a stay at Casa Escano you will have truely passed up what I feel to be a life time memory.

quiet retreat in the heart of the city”
photos posted by guests and by the b&b were impressive enough to make me go through the comments of the guests who had stayed at casa escano. glad i read most of them. gave me a clear idea of what type of people the place attracted. all my expectations were met and exceeded. was never really a fan of cebu and sorry to say did not think much of the locals but casa escano and its staff changed all that. thank you to all of you for making what was not a pleasurable trip so much nicer. i hope more and more people hear about you and your b&b. it sure is a wonderful haven in the midst of such a busy city.

A nice place to stay like at home.”
I took my 2 daughters traveled in Cebu alone, and we stayed there for 1 night. The location of hotel is really great cause you can walk to the famous Fuente Osmena as well as Robbinson mall and many popular restaurants. The food in the hotel restaurant is very delicious. Drinking water is free in their dispenser. I originally booked a standard room with 1 bed. But we got a superior room with 1 queen bed and 1 single bed when we checked in. I always saw the staff working hard to clean the common area. If you need any assistance just ask them, they are always willing to help you. It's also not far away from other famous spot like sto. Niño. I'll definitely stay here next time when I visit Cebu.

Perfect Bed and Breakfast”
casa escano is a centrally located bed and breakfast in cebu. easily reachable by jeepneys. a 5 minute or less walk to the capitol. jeeps go direct to ayala and to the sto nino church. the restaurant offers delicious food. rooms are big and aircon is cold!!!

Comfy beds, Generous breakfast, location”
Stayed for 2 nights with my parents. We were happily welcomed by the supervisor and the staff and assisted us with our bags. Didnt expect that from a bed&breakfast. When we got into the room we noticed we only got a queen size bed. Dont care to squeeze in with my parents as the bed was huge, however, after an hour a staff came and got me an extra bed.now that is excellent service. Will surely recommend it to anyone who will visit cebu.

I am a regular guest at the Casa Escano and love it for its rustic charm. It's a small yet charming sanctuary from the world outside, the staff are very friendly and helpful, and the food is great. Definitely one of the best of its kind in Cebu.

intimate b&b with great restaurant”
a charming and intimate b&b in the centre of cebu. it has an abundance of spanish charm in the restaurant and the rooms. our family room was large with 2 single beds for the kids - very important for teens & tweens. the restaurant was very good and full of other patrons not staying at the b&b, however, the portions were not particularly large. several shopping centres were a short walk away.

A group of three friends, we chose this bed and breakfast because we were so impressed by it last time around when we visited Cebu. Large rooms, a substantial breakfast, free interent,a very decent location and very hostpiable staff makes this small hotel excellent value for money.

the hotel used to be the ancestral home of a prominent family in cebu and it has spanish architectural design. it has been renovated and converted into a small bb hotel. it is walking distance to one mango- a new mall in mango avenue and also a walking distance to cebu doctor's hospital.

I was a regular visitor to this hotel for a number of years until I got distracted by the emergence of new hotels in Cebu and tried each one of them. After exhausting the newbies, I decided to return. Nothing has changed, best of all its inexpensive room rates! It's like staying at an upper-income Cebu home at budget hotel prices. You almost feel guilty for the owners.

Great hotel tucked away from the crazy traffic!”
I was looking for a strategically located hotel that was close to the major historic sights in Cebu, but still located somewhat close to the action. This place fits the bill. Mango Square is just down the road, and there are a couple major roads about a 10 minute walk away (with restaurants and bars). It's a bit of a hike to the historic downtown to see Magellan's Cross and the Fort, etc. but it's doable if you're feeling energetic. Otherwise take a cheap taxi.

As always, comfortable, staff friendly and helpful. situated in nice quiet location but close to centre of Cebu. Probably more 3 than 4 star, but no complaints. I regularly stay in this hotel, liking it's slightly old world quirkiness and nice garden area surrounding the hotel even though it is close to the centre of town.
