Casa Gracia made my trip wonderful.”
I stayed at Casa Gracia on March 2015 with my parents. I was so excited because it was the first time in Barcelona for me, and also for my parents, it was the first time in Europe. When we got the hostel right from the airport from Korea, we were exhausted, but since we saw the room, it was really nice and we could be relaxed. Room was very nice, the bathroom was big with wonderful bathtub. We were satisfying with the room, location, and kind staff. It took only a couple of minutes from the subway station - very easy to find. Also the best part of staying at Casa Gracia was on my mom's birthday. I asked a nice restaurant for my mom's birthday to a staff, and I found the Hotel has every evening special dinner time with different program.( Such as live music show, Tapas night and so on.)It was Live music night on my mom's birthday, so I made a reservation for dinner. All staff celebrated my mom's birthday, and baked amazing cake for her. Also wonder champagne with lovely live birthday music just for her. My mom was tired at that time because of jet-lag, but still now she sometimes mentions about her special birthday at Casa Gracia and says it was really fantastic. Also personally myself, the welcome post card on the table was soooooo adorable. If I visit Barcelona one more time, I would like to stay at Casa Gracia again. Thank you for all the staff that I could have wonderful memories in Barcelona.
I stayed 3 nights in Casa Gracia Barcelona, it was very very good. Pros: - Big & Decent Room - Good Breakfast - Location, Location & Location - Staff very good english & helpful Cons - wifi in room a bit challenging - elevator too small, but manageable Will stay in Casa Gracia Barcelona again. Thank you!
Hola Loka! Thanks for taking the time to write a review. We're glad you enjoyed your stay and our breakfast! We're improving our wifi, sorry for any inconvenience during your stay. hope to see you again soon! Kind regards, Casa Gracia Team
The best place to stay in Barcelona ”
Wonderful hostel! We loved everything about this place! The terrace, the launch room, the kitchen with 4 fridges, big table and enough sittings to eat your meal(s), the free coffee 24/7, the location (very close to the metro station/L3), and the relaxed/chilled atmosphere! Even the small room:) ...which was fixed/cleaned every day! We would recommend casa gracia to everyone who would intend to go to Barcelona!!
The hotel style and service impressed me.”
This is the hostel I will recommend my friends to stay. Not only the location is good, but the hotel style and service are perfect. The front reception inform places to visit and keep cool explaining everythings to guests. There is a cooking place serving all guests who want to cook their own foods, it is a good idea even I didn't use it. Location is a good ideal for guests who want to visit casa mila, casa batlo and shop along the Passeig de Gracia street.
** Different experience**”
Stayed here abt 4dys.. its location along Passeige De Gracia was really worthy. All branded shops wer nearby n lots of eateries along too. metro, tours n hop-on bustop ws vry close..2main tourist attractions casa batilo n La pedera wer jz arnd the corner.. Ths hostel s manned by cute, beautiful n friendly gals.. Very friendly n informative n dey made u feel at home.. Almos evry nite there was an evening of events whereby all guests were welcome to joinin the fun .. I hd an awesome tym of 2beautiful unforgettable nites namely a flamencio dance wth Spanish guitar band n my las nite of a brazilian sAmba carnival... though my 1st nite started out with a small hiccup of my room's tripping of lights, it was finally Resolved aft couple of hrs.. then on we hd no issues... wud recommend to any1 .. Tnx to all d lovely gals.. indeed was worthwhile...♡♡♡
The hostel is located in Casa Gracia which is very close to Casa Mila (5 minutes walk) and Casa Battlo (10 minutes walk).the hostel is also very close to Diagonal metro station. The room interior and decoration is very nice, but unfortunately we can here people talking outside the room. This hostel has comfortable sofas in common room for us to relax. The breakfast is good, they have quite variety to choose for a hostel. The staffs are nice as well. I recommend this hostel for staying in Barcelona.
Cute vintage set up”
Everything here looks rustic in a good way! Very instagrammable and every corner looks exactly as the photos shared online. I loved the mirrored wall/ bathroom door in the room especially, that's a cute and practical touch. The hostel is within walking distance from Casa Mila and Casa Battlo, and if you don't mind a few more steps, you can even reach Sagrada Familia on foot. Perfect location! The hostel also has 2 coffee machines which dispense different kinds of coffee for FREE!
A 5 start budget experience”
We really enjoyed our stay. It was like staying on an executive or club floor of a 5 start hotel - just without the bells and whistles. The hostel is very centrally located (in the middle of the city) with good transport links to the major attractions. The metro and bus were quite convenient for travel within the city. It was also quite easy to get to and from the airport and the closest metro station Diagonal is on the same line to Barcelona Sants (the main train station for long distance trains). We found some cafes, fast food joints, restaurants - loads of variety in cuisine and price point - all within walking distance. Whilst shopping in the area was not so affordable (think high end luxury brands) being in such a neighbourhood also meant good access to quality food and drink options. The hostel itself provides a nice continental breakfast spread of juices, toast, ham, cheese, cereals, yoghurt and fruit. Tea and coffee are always available. Whilst we didn't cook in the kitchen, we did see many people who did use it. We noticed plenty of fridge space as well. There is also a 9 Euro meal available for dinner if you can't be bothered cooking or going out. We stayed in a mixed dorm room which had 6 single beds (rather than bunks) and an ensuite in the room. It was very clean. A towel is provided but amenities are not - I think you can purchase them from the hostel though. We also stayed in a superior double room - this was quite nice and better than some other 3 star hotels we have stayed at. The hostel didn't have any laundry facilities but I think you can get laundry done next door or around the block.
Lovely hotel/hostel in city centre ”
Really enjoyed staying in casa Gràcia, air con was a massive bonus in hot Barcelona. Room was very clean and stylish. Breakfast okey not great
Hello Dominika, Thanks for your review, we're glad you liked the room. Hope to see you again soon! Casa Gracia Team
Stayed in the Suite not hostel. ”
Many places were booked out quickly. staying in Barcelona was never cheap. So we only have to find a clean, spacious and nearby location. We found out that this place has a suite and studios room in the next building like 15 steps away from the hostel. So, we booked in, very nice place into a separate building , to stay away from the large backpackers crowd in the hostel block. I mean this hostel is cool, they have their own bar and restaurant and a disco underground at night, all these are on the same building for that hostel. so the choice is yours.
Hello J, Thanks for your comment. We're happy you had a great experience in our Casa. See you next time! CASA GRACIA TEAM
Good hostel .”
the great thing about Hostel is first of all its location-very close to the trendy neighborhood of Gracia, with its cool bars and boutique shops. Also, and very important to us, the rooms were very clean and comfortable, and although it was a bedroom of 6 beds the room was clean and very specious always. the staff was very friendly and always willing to help with information and tips where to go in the city and the overall atmosphere was very pleasant , I will definitely come back again!
Unreal value! ”
This hostel was absolute perfection! It's centrally located in Barcelona - very close to the metro and great restaurants. The beds are actually pretty comfortable and my room was incredibly spacious. The hostel is in a gorgeous building with lots of beautiful shared spaces to enjoy and they organize a bunch of fun events for guests to enjoy. I would absolutely stay here again - it was the best hostel I've stayed in!
Great staff & location ”
Casa Gràcia is a great spot for any young traveler looking for a good location, helpful and youthful staff and many amenities to enjoy. We were very impressed and will be back We’ll be back
Hello Aidan, Thanks for taking the time to write a review. We're happy you enjoyed our Casa and also hope to see you again soon! Mi Casa es tu Casa CASA GRACIA TEAM
Our stay here was fabulous!!!! The location is great, as we can walk to most of the tourists spots here in Barcelona. You can choose to walk, take metro or bus when you get off from Aerobus. We got a free upgrade to a twin room with terrace on our first two days. Just that there was false alarm at 5am, the hotel must had fixed it immediately so not a big deal for us. We had gone to other cities in the midst of our stay, so we left our luggage here for 2 days with permission of the staff here, we were really thankful about this. I really love the common area, the sofas are super cozy with the natural light outside. Just a little point to note: the bathroom door cannot be closed tightly, so water can easily flow out from the bath tub and the whole bathroom can be slippery.
Claire & Andy”
A Great stay, a wonderful building giving travellers a true experience of a historical dwelling a truly amazing lift system & good bar with comfy loungers in reception. Friendly staff to assist . A quirky eclectic basement area (an adapted civilian bunker for evening drinks!) A great terrace area to eat breakfast alfresco! Yoga! Good selection of breakfast foods & drinks. Hot foods: sausage & egg, cold food cheese, salami & ham, various breads & mini seed baked rolls, fresh fruits, pastries, cereals, yoghurt, with 2 types of juices, chilled water, coffee & tea. Extremely helpful staff (my very special thanks to Sonia for all your kind help/ assistance with our room on 3rd & 4th July & to all the team to Ben (I think!) for booking Taxi transfer to the Diagonal on Tuesday and to kind lady on reception at 6.30pm who assisted us in contacting staff at the Picasso exhibition about closing times and then assisted us with a Taxi transfer there for me and my partner! Gracias :)
Great place to stay in if you are on a budget and not too fussy”
This place is in a great upscale location, and near the Gaudi landmarks such as La Pedrera and Casa Batllo. It is also walking distance to a long strip of tapa restaurants and shops. It is a hostel so only the basics are provided. I liked our room a lot since I chose one with a private balcony and it overlooked the streets. I'm used to staying in hotels so I really noticed the lack of things like TV, and toiletries. Wifi is good though. The bed was king sized but it was really two twin beds joined together, and my husband's side was sunk lower than mine. The bed frame also had a protruding hook that we repeatedly bumped against and bruised my husband's leg a little. Bathroom was small but clean. The elevators were antique looking and quite lovely. Slow though and can only handle a few people at a time. However, most visitors take the stairs since there were only 6 floors of habitable rooms. It was also good exercise for me! All in all, we were comfortable during our stay.
This is the best hostel Ive ever stayed. FANTASTIC”
Superb! Il definitely come to stay here again for my future trip. Highly recommended! Thanks Casa Gracia! 😄
Very strategic location ”
Everything is good, especially the location of the hostel. Highly recommend to have dinner at the restaurant (next to the reception). The foods serve good with a very reasonable price in Barcelona city.
Lovely spot to stay”
We liked this place. We had a top floor room with a lovely view over the city. We didnt hear any noise, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom large and clean. The food downstairs was also nice and reasonably priced for Barcelona standards. This is also in a nice area of town but it is quite a walk to other areas so take your walking shoes.
Hola Sarah-Jane! Thanks a lot for your comment. It makes us so happy to see you had a great experience with us and enjoyed our beautiful city as well. Hope to see you again! Mi Casa es tu Casa. Casa Gracia Team
Hostel was conveniently located. Even though it was a hostel, staff made our beds and changed our rooms daily. Will stay here again if we visit barcelona
