Casa Rey Francis was a nice place to stay, ”
Our stay in the Casa Rey Pension House was great, we were transferred to a larger room as our room was already taken, no problems. Later we tranferred to the room we booked and it is was great, with window views, fresh air. Just a little noisey at night. Looking out and seeing the water and the islands and the larger views of the same when dinning, was tranquil and a Romantic setting. The staff are mostly trainees and have a lovely and supportive attitude to their customers. We will definately be staying there again in the near future.

Even if I havent stayed in Casa Rey Francis because Agoda did not inform them of my booking (hey anyone knows where I can air my sentiments on agoda?) they were nice enough to transfer me to another hostel and paid for my lodging there.

Casa Rey has a restaurant, but i prefer carenderia or babeque store, so i didn't use it. It looks like wonderful. also view is good.

Clean room, great staff”
Casa Rey was a good place to stay. The room size was a good size room. We ate dinner there and the food was great and the staff were friendly. We checked out early for the sea tour and left our luggage at the reception. We came back around 3 pm to pick up our luggage and we asked if we can use the public shower to rinse the sea water and they let us use one of the room for free. I'm really impressed with that kind of service. I would stay here again.

Just worth the price”
We are just basically transiting to Tagbilaran City for our trip to Panglao. We were just there also to attend a town fiesta that's why we need a room to stay overnight. I can say that the place is nice and quiet. The staff are friendly and accomodating also. However, you might just find the bed not so nice because it still has the plastic in the matress. Hot shower is not quite functioning. Breakfast was just ok but you may opt to go to the city center and eat in the mall if you wish to.

At first I was shocked by the physical appearance of the place and also their not so friendly staff but what made our stay there quite fine was the location of Casa Rey going to Panglao & other tourist destination in Bohol. Also the view that you can see there every morning/sunrise, so serene & peaceful.

It was nice to stay there, I would recommend if you are looking for a budget hotel in Bohol. Just be aware that everything is far in Bohol, so it's nice to rent a bike or a car to get around.

just so-so the only good about this pension house is the location.. it's within downtown area however for cleanliness.. we were wondering if did they change the beddings (linen, and so on) because of its smells..

Nice place to set off for daily trips”
Nothing to complain about, nice and helpful staff, clean room, amazing view from the room. Good place for someone who wants to travel around the island, easy set off for Panglao, Chocolate hills or Anda.

Cons: Small signage somehow difficult to find on your own. Thanks to google maps and to the locals. Cockroaches. I think from the broken window in the bathroom. Good thing I am with superman 😂😂😂 The lights were broken but the staff offered us to transfer in another room but I declined. Pros: Walking distance from the plaza and church. And a ride away from the airport. Fine room size. Can accommodate additional bed. Stayed at room six. Friendly staffs. Good for overnight stay Cheapest deal I've got Near acacia ihaw ihaw where many locals dine. And also cheap!

Nice view of the ocean and neighboring island Accessible to all transportation. Downhill entrance not do good for seniors with ambulatory capabilities. Would be nice if the fix their shower as no hot water in our room

Not a great stay”
The main downside is that the room was smelling terrible, very moldy and damp. This also made it feel less clean though there was no dust or anything in the room. It seemed as if there were some renovations or rebuilding going on because we could not find the nice restaurant other guests referred to in the review. Toilet did not have a seat cover and aircon was very noisy. All in all definitely not the best stay we had in Bohol.

It was worth d amount we paid. At least it was clean and d room was spacious. Staff was very accomodating given we arrived late and left very early to catch our schedule.

Cheap, safe, good location”
We occupied the biggest room with 3 single beds. It was neat with very basic amenities. Wifi signal was very good. Staff was nice. Hotel is near the church and downtown area.

Not worth it”
Pics on this site can really be deceiving. The place looks so dirty, hallway are broken and it seems like you're in a horror movie. Bed frame are broken, mattress are old, linens have holes. Overall it is not worth it for its price of 700. The place really sucks!!! Worst pension house we've been to.

Bastante bien”
Al llegar te asustas un poco porque no ves ningún edificio, pero si entras y bajas se ve. El Wifi es el mejor que nos hemos encontrado en todos los hostales que hemos estado en Filipinas y nos dieron una habitación mucho mas grande de la que pedimos, pedimos de 3 y nos dieron de 5 personas, aunque creo que era porque no había absolutamente nadie alojado.
