Location
Casa Rica is a small hotel in a lovely restored Spanish house, in the historical part of the city. The hotel is basic but clean, comfortable. The WiFi worked well in our room. I must add that the staff were very friendly and helpful. My Filipino companion said that the (Filipino only) breakfast was very small and limited, but we found 2 nice cafes very close to hotel. Vigan is small and it is easy and safe to walk around, the great thing about the hotel is its location, about 5 minutes to start of the Casaloga Street tourist area. Do ask the hotel for their tourist map; the odd thing is that the map does not mention the old Bantry Belfry watchtower, adjacent Church and ruined chapel which is very close by, only a 10 minutes ride away by tricycle and well worth visiting for the views from the top of the watchtower. The tricycle flat fare is P15 per person. I would recommend staying at the Hotel Casa Rica.

Lovely!
Lovely place with friendly & welcoming staff. Clean, good breakfast, accessible location (some traffic noise); we really enjoyed our stay.

Casa rica
Cheap. Value for money. But it is along the main road so it is a bit noisy and no parking lot. Overall still ok for us.

Above average
Very good location, about 5 minutes walk to Calle Crisologo. We were the only guests when we stayed mid month of December 2017. We stayed in the room on the ground floor, right corner room. Bathroom door lock was broken and there was an ear bud on the floor.

Room is too small.
The room is too small but location is accessible to calle crisologo and to other tourist spots. The food serving is too small. Staffs are just okay.

Under staff
The breakfast on the 1st day was late because the hotel dont have a cook to prepare the breakfast. We didnt got the chance to eat the breakfast on our last day because they still dont have the chef to prepare the breakfast earlier, and we have to leave at 7:30 to get at the bus station on time . Owner/manager did not even apologize for the hassle this caused us (it was paid, included on the booking). In our entire stay at the hotel we only saw 1 staff from 5am until midnight. I hope she gets paid properly.

fair enough
initially our plan was to drive back to la union after going to vigan , but because of the unexpected traffic due to road construction we were left with no choice but to find a cheap place to stay for the night, but we also need to consider the safety of the place since were travelling with 2 kids , we booked the hotel for 2699 if i remember it right , it was an overnight stay with free breakfast.. its our first time to book a hotel in vigan and was surprised that most hotels has no parking lot, we were told that we can park at the sidewalk.. which we did, well.. i guess it was not a bad idea ,after all nothing bad happened, the room has enough space for the four of us (me , my husband and our two kids, 11 and 6 yrs old), the breakfast though.. but i should not really expect much cause its free.. nothing special or strking in this hotel ,it's just fair enough.
