Basic but functional”
Good for a night stopover. The rooms in the ground floor (underneath the main house) are basic but you are allowed to use the common area which is in a beautiful ancestral home. Complimentary cold/ hot water on the terrace. Staff is accommodating.
Pros: - Good location walking distance to Jaro, Cathedral. - prime spot in the city. - Neat & Clean. - Strong Wifi - Elegant Heritage Design. Cons: - No amenities - Insufficient guest kits - No food offerings
Good Place at a Great Location”
Upon seeing the gates of Casa Tentay, I was taken back to my childhood during the 90s where we see a traditional metal gate, and a house that looks like every bit of an ancestral house. The property looks like a residential compound where relatives up to the 2nd degree reside. The room itself was pretty basic but had a good, large bed, which made the night really comfortable, the room also has a TV, table, closet and working hot shower. All these at a very convenient location just a walk away from Jaro Plaza, a Jeep Away from La Paz Public Market where you can get your La Paz Batchoy fix, and if I'm not mistaken, one jeepney ride away from SM iloilo. Hailing a taxi was easy too! Overall, it was a great place to stay for the night after going around Iloilo
We arrived at very late and the caretaker was really waiting for us at the gate then he immediately assist us to our room with very accommodating and friendly smile. The room was clean with fast wifi internet connection. The Casa offers unlimited water provided with electrical water heater in the room. walking distance at Jaro Plaza, SM Iloilo, REsto Bars and other night life establishments. We definely book here again on our next trip.
The staff was accommodating, the place was clean, quiet, and accessible. It's a walking distance to Robinson's Jaro, Jaro Plaza and Church, near laid-back restaurants, convenience stores, and supermarkets.
Very clean, good location”
The staff are so friendly. Location is very good walking distance to Jaro church. We booked 1 nigth then travel to gigantes and booked again for 2 night, we choose the same room and all beddings are changed (we can see it cause they use different color of beddings). Very clean :) -- though some rooms appear creepy at night since the style is a old house
Very nice place to stay in Jaro, Iloilo”
Casa Tentay offered us with basic accommodation but the service provided by the staff was beyond basic! They were very warm, helpful and cheerful. Special thanks to Kuya Tentoy! The location is also very good. Jeepneys/cabs pass by the street outside Casa Tentay. It's near restaurants, museums and pasalubong places.
Your home in Iloilo ”
Affordable stay in a spacious room that has a cable tv and refrigerator. You can also ask for an electric kettle. There's also a water dispenser for your hydration needs. Staff is also very helpful and knowledgeable about the area. The place is also near Robinson's Place Jaro and very accessible by public transport.
Tirso, receptionist was very accommodating. Grace, housekeeper made sure that the room is kept clean”
Fumigation is a must to irradicate unwanted mosquitoes & cockroaches. Value for money but need to replenish soap daily & should consider having shampoo in their bathroom. Casa Tentay must be lucky for having Tirso & Grace aboard. They are very helpful and sincere with their tasks.
Staffs were friendly. It was just sad to leave too early because of our Islas de Gigantes tour. Location was okay in Iloilo City, though the house looked like a haunted house at night. :) Our room was spacious and clean, our bed was comfortable to sleep. The only issue was... we didn't know at first where we would enter, I mean, the gate was closed without us even knowing that it wasn't locked inside. Overall, it was a great stay and we should have stayed a little bit longer.
We stayed here before our flight the following day. The house is quite old. Its a long the highway with no visible signages on its gate so quite difficult to reach. The room we stayed in is 3 solo beds. The room is spacious and is clean. I can't review the staff because we hardly ever saw them. Just the receptionist. If you are on a budget and just need a place to sleep in, this is okay. But if you are picky on your surroundings, you need to adjust your perspective. Lol.
Great value for money but no breakfast ”
Might seem old outside but very nice interior. I just think it needs better lighting at night. Clean rooms and bathroom. Friendly staff. Only bad comment is that they are supposed to be "bed &breakfast" but they never had any available food option.
Accessible location. Place is clean and staff are very friendly. :)
Friendly staff, good location”
Friendly staff, responds quickly to inquiries thru agoda app, and very accomodating with our requests Hotel has good location, walking distance to Robinson's mall, Jaro church and the heritage houses in Iloilo city, also with a 7-11 nearby. Easily accessible to public transportation, jeeps and taxis
Thanks so much, I Hope you will stay again thanks alot
Some place to stay for a night”
Clean room, smells nice when we entered. Security guard is polite and super kind, we really like him. One thing we dont like much is the creepy feeling when u see the hotel. Not much light, more likely dimmed. Also the pathway to our room was just creepy..hehe. Anything else were excellent.
Place looks like a Old Spanish Style house turned into a Hotel, Good Accommodation staff were nice, there is a water dispenser near the reception entrance. At Night the security doubles as a receptionist. Our room is located at the ground floor. The downfall of this place is the sink was leaking.
Good customer service!”
Kudos to your staffs especially ate roxanne, ate grace and kuya on night duty. They were really helpful, nice and acommodating. They helped us planned out our itinerary and suggested on our public transport routes. They also have single beds so we were comfortable sleeping as we have our own spaces. Given a chance, I will definitely book here again as it's value for money.
My family and I stayed there ast Aug.25-27, 2018. Super funny experience of the place ala haunted house but its not. Kuya Tirso and ate Grace were really big help and very accommodating. I realy recommend this
Staff are friendly and accommodating. Place is accessible to public transportation and is near some of the tourist destinations. It is also relaxing and quiet. If you are someone who likes old houses, this could be the one for you. Internet connection is available, but kind of slow, which is quite understandable.
Clean and accomodating staff”
Pros: Clean, super friendly and accomodating staff, has free drinking water, willingness to help you with your tours and location is superb. The ancestral feels of the house is a plus for me. If you need something and they have it, they will provide. Cons: well, if your looking for more amenities, this is not the place i would recommend you to stay. But for me, no cons so far. We were out most of the day.
