Third Time Lucky”

Location, pool, comfortable bed

This was my third visit to Casablanca and it really was third time lucky! I had previously stayed in the more commercial areas, the Thalasso was in a perfect location on the lively Corniche, Ayn Diab. Despite serious reservations about the hotel due to other reviews, I was pleasantly surprised by the appearance of the hotel. The room was comfortable- especially the bed- however the air con was'nt powerful enough, or in the right position to keep the room cool. The pool area is lovely and the staff helpful and friendly. Breakfast was a buffet with a good range of choices. Apart from a bad choice of carpet over ceramics, there is nothing much I can fault the hotel about!

Great hotel ”

The place is wonderful. The staff was very professional. The hotel was very clean and took the COVID issue seriously. The location was great, just off the water and the hotel had a beautiful view of the beach. Definitely would recommend to anyone coming to Casablanca.

Nice location but the room was not that clean”

Nice location

I like the location of the Hotel, and it is one of the few hotels in Casablanca that offer Thalasso spa. The room was not clean, The carpet was full of big stains and dirts. I requested to change the room and the staff was very friendly and changed it to a Ceramic floor room. The weather was cold at night and the heater was not working and was never fixed, though I requested the maintenance to take a look on it.

An oasis in bussy Casa”

Beautiful location, you can hear the waves all the time. Pool and really comfortable bed.

We stayed only one night and unfortunately didn't have time to try the facilities around the pool, but it looked great. Quite central hotel, but still right on the beach. Room was very comfortable, but a little damp from the sea air with mildew on the curtains. But we got a very good price, so very pleased all in all. The only thing a found annoying and strange was that it was nearly impossible to get something at the poolbar. We waited 45 minutes to get our second beer - in the end waving to the waiters! I have worked in a bar myself and I don't like customers who shout and wave, so I don't like to be one of them . We started to think that we were wrongly dressed, they mistook us for somebody else who used to drink to much etc. We had only had one 25 cl beer each before, were wellbehaved, not weirdly dressed and the other customers got served without any trouble. There were three waiters and not many people there. Otherwise the service was friendly. PS - confusing with the name. It should say on the reservation that you tell the old name to the taxi driver since nobody knows the new name yet.

Wonderful staff, clean comfortable rooms. Only thing that is not worth the money is the actual spa. Everything is extremely basic and not worth the time and money. Sweet staff though!!!

The hotel is not worth the money”

Ocean view, nice swimming pool area

The hotel rates itself as a four star hotel, I would give it a 3 at the best. Defenitely not worth the money, not even the Agoda price. There was a very unpleasant lady at the reception, she was rude - something a hotel could never afford, let alone a 4 star hotel. The room looked as if it was last renovated years and years ago, the walls and carpet were very dirty, the balcony was also supposed to be white but the reality was different, the paint was coming off everywhere. Breakfast was inadequate, there was almost nothing to eat. The halls were dirty. Swimming pool area was nice but until you started to look around - paint coming off everywhere. And in Agoda the hotel is named Casablanca Le Lido Thalasso & Spa but in reality they call themselves something else which made it impossible to find them for some time.

great location along the corniche”

clean, nice breakfast, great views of the ocean.

Did not expect much as it was my first day in Casablanca after 18 hour journey. Was pleasantly surprised the next day. Staff were friendly. Location on the Corniche is perfect for a relaxed stroll or quick jog or even just to watch mid to upper class Moroccans go by. Great restaurants along the Corniche that can be accessed so easily. The views of the ocean from the coffee house is quite magnificent. Breakfast was nice. My holiday in Morocco ends in Casablanca and I am planning to stay there again.

More basic than the photos show”

I want to give this place a good review but cannot. Unfriendly staff, room extremely basic, no mini bar, smelled of smoke, overcrowded pool, fitness facilities are rusted or missing, over priced. Pay less than US$100 and expect nothing. One of few hotels in Casablanca with an outdoor pool.

The most terrible stay in Morocco”

Casablanca was the last stop of our trip and we spent 2 nights in Le Lido. The hotel is so much older than we expected, especially the bathroom. The beds were clean and rooms were tidy. The wall of the building is so thin, so basically on the first night, we heard the other residence speaking next door. On the second night, while we were asleep, someone next door opened our connection door inside our room and trying to come in. Luckily my luggage blocked the entrance and those people back off once they heard me shouting to them. I am not sure how they got the key, whether they are just randomly broke in or whether they are the staffs of the hotel. So this is not only about the cleanliness or facilities of the hotel, it's about the security. This is be very unsafe for single traveller (especially ladies) to stay here. We would not recommend this hotel to our friends even they located right next to the beach with wonderful sea view.

Excellent Hotel along the atlantic ocean”

along the beach, near the restos, public transport just a about 300 meters away, friendly staff, clean rooms

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay as i love the sea.All the rooms have balconies and rooms very clean contrary to some feedback i read before my trip.It is along the restos/ bar strip which reminds me of Boracay and Roxas Blvd in the Phil. where people are more awake & active at night and hibernate during the day. Breakfast was excellent with lots of fruits, meat & the bread one of the best as i like the crispy type. Also the bus stop is just about 300 meters but since taxi ( Petit one, don't take the white/ Benz)use meter and fairly cheap. Also drivers very honest & even gives you your change. Will recommend place to honeymooners.

appraisal for staying at riad salam hotel ”

good location near the sea; friendly reception staff; good atmosphere/feeling about hotel; friendly staff; comfortable rooms;good moroccan restaurant; excelllent food; location next to a bank; goood music in the moroccan restaurant; a romantic feel about it in the evening-good for taking a partner to for a break/holiday..
1 taxi driver usd by hotel for transfer from hotel/airport expected a large tip on top of the 250.00 mad fare. tips are at the discretion of the fare -paying traveller; distance from centre ville is a disavantage.

i have had 2 excellent stays in the riad salam hotel. its location on the corniche is ideal for access to the sandy beaches and restaurants an clubs along the corniche. staff were helpful, courteous and friendly. the rooms were confortable and spacious, and made for a relaxing stay. the food was excellent, both in the evening and the selection for breakfast was more than enough. i would recommend this hotel to anyone going to casablance and would look forward to staying in the hotel again, given the opportunity.

The people were very friendly. A variety of Snacks is offered at the pool bar. The Hotel is well located and the appearance very nice. Negative: I bought my own water at a store. Coming back to the Hotel I was allowed to keep it but told not to bring any more. The cleaning for towels and bedsheets should be improved. There were often stains on my towel and it was the same for my first set of bedsheets.

Casa Hotel”

The hotel is clean concidering that it is old building. Location is excellent as it faces the ocian. Just out of the Hotel door you may walk on the sea side with all resturants and many night clubs.
When I got the room I found that the carpet was wet, so they took long time to change my room. Not much facilities in the Hotel, Just a small reception with a small cafa.

The hotel is concedered best one for the location eventhough it is a bet far from Casa airport (about 25 mints) in the Taxi.Upon arrival we were greeted well when Agoda Voucher was presented at the front desk and the staff are very helpfull. The next day we Enjoyed the brekfast it was very nice resturant facing the sea view. Hotel location is great as you don't need to take Taxi, you may walk along the sea walk way and enjoy many cafaes and resturants. For night life also no problems as many night clubs located in the same area.
