Firstly we thought we were getting a studio which went out onto a courtyard/garden area. We were given a very lovely room but with no balcony or verandah. There was a very bad drain smell outside the door of our room which at times permeated inside. No milk with the tea/ coffee so went down to reception to ask ...was given two small tubs with the promise of more being delivered to our room ....never happened. Smoking in the restaurant was an issue. There was a ridiculous charge ......40 euros for 2 hours per person in the pool. The parking is a nightmare. Granted we went on what is probably the busiest days of the year and you can say first world problems but it did take away from the fantastic reviews. Beautiful decor, crockery, details etc and the peace and tranquility of the library is a joy. Food delicious and service in the restaurants bar is great.
