Staff were very friendly and food are very expensive. good thing with bread that we take for dinner. better bring food when going here. 450/person for dinner is too much.

Nice quiet retreat”
Staff was very friendly and accomodating to us. They had a high chair reserved for us so it was very convenient, because we were travelling with a toddler. Food was superb, as usual. We've been to this place a few times since 2014 and it's been great every time.

A PLACE PERFECT FOR RESPITE”
We highly commend the very accommodating staff and officers. Great food with great choices for those who don't eat pork. Very pet-friendly place. We loved the serenity of the place, not very crowded. Perfect for those who want to enjoy peace and quiet environment.

A Good Place to Unwind”
A very peaceful place. Nice shade from the trees and clean sea with plenty of corals and fish. Need minor improvement on the maintenance of the facilities and equipments (bathroom ceiling, snorkles, life vest, room vault). Will definitely return.

Misleading pricing, run down amenities, dangerous parking and public spaces ”
Hotels are in the business of hospitality. Here's one establishment that exercised the brashness of a run down motel. With the clarion call "your personal Sanctuary" Casita Ysabel evoked an oasis of calm and lush greenery. The greenery was its greatest - and only success. Huts nestled amidst overgrown plants will delight the nature lover. It's all around, but once you get past the copious oxygen, reality sets in. First we have the parking. There's really none other than a steep narrow road at a 35% incline. A twist to the left or right and you'd fall into a ravine. Guests park along that perilous entrance and woe upon you should you need to leave early and ten cars are ahead. Definitely not building code compliant. Then there are the rooms. Smaller than the typical Hong Kong motel, dank and swathed with a rather malodorous scent from the sink. Shower that takes ages to heat and can't even aim straight. Mold between the cracks. It gets worse at the pools. Three tiny pools of an odd murky hue. Too much chlorine? No safety bars around the pools. Watch your step or you'll fall a long way like a sack of potatoes. The beach.. Now there's the clincher. All rocks and no sand. If you're after boracay sand, don't come here. You can't swim without tumbling a few rocks. I did like cabana along the rocky shore. Afforded me a good respite from the rest of the hotel . And perhaps that was the only redeeming value. Checkout was the most nightmarish. If you're like me and book via Expedia, agoda or booking.com, you know that the price paid on site is the final price due. This hotel opted to pass on the commissions owed to agoda to me. Have you ever paid an amount online yo be told by the hotel "sorry sir, Agoda collects commissions, therefore you need to add more". Not only unhospitable, it's illegal. It's never the practice of a hotel to do such shenanigans. I know this because I'm also a hotel owner and lawyer. My last grip : NO Official receipt. I got some documen

Casita Ysabel is the perfect getaway for some relaxation as well as for some adventure. Had a wonderful lay down at the waterfront beach bed and a morning of intro dive (newbies!). The owners and staff are super attentive and helpful with our needs. Food was homemade but delicious and plentiful.

The place is great for relaxing however there are few options for the food and much expensive (so better prepare or bring some snacks for the whole duration of the stay). The family room is spacious which can fit up to 8> people. Activities such as kayaking is cheap (150php per hour, good for two people). There is no signal in some areas of the resort.

The location is fantastic for those who love snorkelling and to relax by the sea. The new managers are very helpful and committed to reversing the mixed reviews this place has received. There is no sand beach, but a jetty allows easy access to the water and fantastic snorkelling/swimming at your doorstep without having to take a boat. We saw turtles, angelfish, starfish and so many beautiful coral formations. Our 6 year old loved it! Take your reef shoes! With a bit of maintenance, improved accessibility/management of staff, a food menu and promotion of activities such as snorkelling, this could be a very sought after nature lovers B+B. It is only 2.5 hours from MetroManila.

Beautiful”
A very relaxing, peaceful (it was holy week and it was fully booked but it wasnt noisy or magulo at all) and beautiful place. The food is simple but it doesnt mean it tastes bad. It’s something you would cook at home - which adds more to its homey vibe. I just wish they serve fresh fruit shakes to complete the summer in a resort feels. The staff are nice and I appreciate that they offered to park my car in an “uninterrupted spot” since my worry was moving my car everytime somebody went out considering the small and steep parking space. One can also snorkel right infront of the resort the only downside is that the water gets too shallow it’s almost impossible to swim or the corals get very close to your face. Overall it was a very nice experience.

I would love to go back every year, in fact, I'm planning to. Aside from the overpriced dinner and one of the staff implying we smoked inside the room, everything was great. I was relaxed the whole time and amazed at the sunset and the sea. <3 <3 <3

Nice place but not worth the money”
First i need to say that we had a pleasant stay at CY. Location is nice, room were big and there have a restaurant included. Owner organized a nice diving trip and was very helpful. The bad rating results from the price they were charging for it. The facilities, the staff and the food are ok, but would if any be suitable a 50USD hotel. Toast, bread and fish with egg/rice for breakfast. No Marmelade anymore after day 2... No beach infront of the hotels. Ony rocks so bring booties... After 9pm there is no service anymore neither so if you want to have a beer after you need to drive to the next store... We paid around 120eur per night. In PH for the same money you get a hotel like the Peninsula Manila with all kind of luxury...

Great vibes. Quiet and Quaint. BUT”
Booked for am overnight stay with my boyfriend. The place was great in the sense thay it lived up to the "quaint, quiet, rustic vibe" reviews. The staff were accommodating. It seemed like a lean time still and we got the hotel almost to ourselves. All in all it was an okay stay. But below are my observations which you might want to consider: 1. Food needs improvement - From the website and reviews, it was indicated that the hotel has its own restaurant. The thing is...the meal costs 600 and guests are told it will be a set meal. For that night, we were told that the set meal will consist of fried chicken and veggies. Hence, we found the price too steep for the food it serves. We ordered merienda. 150 pesos for a small plate of pancit (which didnt have pork btw) and juice concentrate. We checked out other resorts for meals (we didnt avail of the dinner) and found a resort serving buffet dinner for 600. So it might really help to up your menu. Give variations instead of making guests avail of "whatever's in the kitchen." 2. room and facilities needs an upgrade - the paint needs updating. So does the room. If was pretty. But the wear and tear is showing already. 3. pool needs to be treated - We took a dip on their cutie "jacuzzi-size" pools. I suffered from rash/insect bites on my arm and body eithin 10 minutes of being on the water. We asked the staff and told them what happened. We were told the water in the pool was not treated with chlorine. I understand there are trees around and insects might have fallen on the water but treating the water helps make it swimmable. These are just some of the things that we really took notice of. We loved the resort but it really needs extra love so that it can live up to being more just a "vibe" resort.

Tucked away location, attentive staff but worn out establishment with not much activities around”
Really peaceful place, quiet, on the hillside, facing the ocean. However not much to do around, no restaurants or activities. The restaurant charged us 1000 php for the kid just for a breakfast per night and 600 per pax for the dinner. The room was worn out, the toilet didn’t flush. Although we were the only clients in the hotel, we were not offered an upgrade and one night the staff was rather loud while we were trying to sleep. Good thing is the food is really local and tasty. Staff attentive and nice. You can borrow snorkelling gear and canoe as you wish. But not much activities apart from diving and snorkelling. A 2 night stay is largely enough.
