A hidden litte star in Nyaung Shwe”
Before I arrived at Heho airport, I have contacted the hotel to arrange for an airport pick up (costs 23000 Kyats). I was greeted warmly by Mr Tin Maung. Mr Tin Maung is one of the most helpful and resourceful hotel managers that I ever met of so many of my hotel stays. I had an early check-in and discussed with him my plan for the evening and the next day. He immediately arranged a "Tuk-tuk" for me to the Red Mountain Wineyard at 4.30pm, for a scenic visit and wine tasting. The "Tuk-tuk" which costs 13000 Kyats, waited for me at the Red Mountain. Mr Tin Maung also found me a boat man (Mr Ku Taw) for the Inle Lake boat trip next day, which I could customize my own itinerary, to cover the Southern part of the lake, The Thaung Tho market and pagoda as well as the In Dein village, on top of the standard programme like Inle fishing with leg-paddling, floating gardens, Phaung Daw Oo pagoda etc. The boat trip from 7.30am to 5pm, costs 27000 Kyats. My taxi to the airport (15000 Kyats) the next day was also booked by Mr Tin Maung, of which he has arranged with the driver to stop over for me to visit Shwe Yan Pyay Monastery which is famous for its teak wood built with front facing oval windows, located just outside of Nyaung Shwe town.

Great place to stay - centrally located”
The hotel is centrally located in town and faces a really good restaurant and travel agency, called Smiling moon. My wife and I stayed at Cassiopeia for 2 nights at Inle and it was the right choice. We stayed in the chalet-type room which is just a few steps away from the main building. It offers good privacy, yet close proximity to anything we might need. The room and toilet are always clean, and the air always fresh because the room has an air-con and a ceiling fan. For all our travel arrangements, we simply crossed the road and booked our day trip with Ms Yadana at Smiling Moon restaurant and agency. She even arranged for our transport back to the airport at a good price. The hotel is staffed adequately and the staff very attentive, always asking if they could help us whenever they see us. We enjoyed our stay at Cassiopeia Hotel and highly recommend the stay there. I certainly would, if I were to return to Inle.

Extremely happy!”
We're a couple traveling to Inle on 4&5 Feb, 2017. We're extremely happy with this hotel that I promised to myself to write a review about this hotel so other travelers could enjoy like us. We arrived at Inle very early at 2.30am in the morning. Normally hotels only allow check in from 2pm, meaning 12 hours early from check-in time. All the bungalows were full (we booked a bungalow for two). The owner was so kind to give us free upgrade to family suite which is bigger and more expensive. That was the earliest check-in we have ever had. In the morning, they still serve us breakfast as normal (which should be breakfast of the next day, not that day). As it was peak season, Inle was so fully booked that we couldn't arrange a boatman or a guide in advance. The hotel recommended their boat tour which was a full day tour with a lot of interesting things to see, with a standard price as any other companies. The boatman was so helpful to recommend us different places to see which were even not in our plan or our agreement with the hotel. We had an amazing day on the lake. On the 2nd day, we rented the bicycles to go around with the suggested route from the hotel. The staff even gave us free bottles of water and did not charge the cost for bicycle rental. They also let us use our room to have a shower before getting on the bus even though we checked out already. When the bus seemed to come late for pick up, the hotel owner did offer to give us a free ride from hotel to the bus station. This is the best hotel that we've ever stayed given we are frequent travelers and have experienced different hotels at different countries. Before getting to the bus, we wanted to buy some water, we agreed with each other that as the staffs were so good to us, we would insist to pay, not to receive for free any more. Through my personal observation, other guests that were staying at the hotel were also very very happy. If we come back to Inle in the future, definitely we will stay at this ho

Thank you so much that you give so long time to provide our job. Good luck to you.
Fantastic!”
We spent 2 weeks touring Burma and Cassiopeia was the best hotel we stayed in. It's a new hotel (opened 8 months ago) and our rooms was nice, comfortable and modern (we would have liked a chair or two however as there is none). The hotel is well placed, just a few minutes away from the market, restaurants, banks and money changer, and only 15 mins from the lake. For breakfast, juice, tea/coffee, fruits and eggs are available. Maybe the hotel should consider serving cereals pastries, ham and sausages. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we were amazed by the professionalism, friendliness and willingness to help by the staff. A big thank you to Tim (the manager) for all his useful tips and helping us book a day out by boat on the lake and another excursion to Taunggyi and Kakku. Altogether a great hotel which undoubtedly deserves 5 star rating.

Great location . Lovely comfortable quiet room,”
We arrived here at 530am in the morning after the overnight bus from Bago, we were checked in immediately and were in bed by 6am for a few hours sleep before breakfast, this was fantastic as the idea of hanging arround waiting for a room would have been awful. This is a brand new hotel , only a few months old and looks it, the rooms are large clean comfortable and really nicely decorated and a porch to sit out on with a cold beer. It has a very modern bathroom with prob best shower in Myanmar . Two other fab things are the internet which was lightning fast and the terrific breakfast, you can have either traditional or western , the banana pancakes were the highlight The owner/ manager is a Nepali chap and he and all his staff will do anything they can do to keep you happy! he has good maps and advice for trips in inle lake area. We paid 55usd a night on agoda which was a very good price for such a nice hotel . It's right next to the market and 15 mins walk to the boat jetty .theres loads of places to eat and drink all within minutes. As far as boat tour round the lake we paid 20000k for a whole day which was excellent ,1000 each for cycles for a day and 35000 each for the trek to kalaw inc transporting our bags ahead of us ! (Sunny side travel ) all fantastic! I'd stay here again 100 % recommend

Great value”
We really enjoyed our stay at the Cassiopeia. It was about a 10 minute walk from the boat tours of Inle Lake and about 5 minutes from the central market. It was nice being away from the boat landing because of the noise. This was a very quiet area. The breakfasts were very good. You can order Shan noodles or Mohinga a day ahead. They also have eggs and pancakes. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The laundry was also very reasonable here.

Extremely kind and helpful staff, clean and comfortable rooms, a cozy small territory”
The staff is knowledgeable and helpful. The manager, Soe Lwin, arranged our trips before our arriving. We contacted the hotel by email. We were picked up at Heho airport at about 10.30a.m., and were delivered by taxi first to Kakku and then to Cassiopeya Hotel in the evening (2 hours 1 way and 75000kyats for the whole trip). It was amazing stroll! 1478 pagodas at one site!!! Mr. Soe Lwin also arranged the Inle Lake boat trip next day (25000kyats per boat for us 2, from 8 till 17, a lot of stops and In Dein as well; a boat driver met us at the hotel and accompanied us some minutes to the boat). And he booked a taxi to Heho airport (17000kyats) for us. We didn’t waste time and enjoyed the stay. The manager advised 2 good restaurants (no dinner at the hotel), 2 blocks far from Cassiopea Hotel, and we enjoyed the local cuisine in both within 2 evenings. The breakfast was very nice. There is no a buffet breakfast at the hotel. We were given fresh fruit and juice every day. We could choose either pancakes and eggs or a local soup for breakfast, and tea, coffee, and toasts. Our bungalow room was clean and cozy. There was a safe box right in our room! And a thermos for hot water, tea and coffee bags. No problem with hot running water and AC for heating room (cold nights, about 16 degrees in December). Good quilt and mattress! Would stay again.

Helpful & friendly staff, good location”
Me and my friend arrived in Inle at 4.30am via bus from Mandalay. The hotel manager Mr Tinmaung and staff treat us well and they were super helpful, they allowed us to check in at this time so that we can rest after long hour in bus. I highly recommended Cassiopeia hotel because of the friendly staff, good location of the hotel which is close to restaurants and shops.

Excellent”
Really lovely little hotel with fantastically attentive and helpful staff, the hotel manages to be an oasis of calm just off the busy main street of Nyaung Shwe. We organised the boat tour through the hotel and our boatman was brilliant. Very easy to walk into town and close to some of the best restaurants. The bike hire opposite charges only 1000MMK for the day and it is very easy to ride out of town into the countryside to visit the vineyard, caves, monastery and other villages... would totally recommend doing that as well. Breakfast also great - try the Shan noodle!

Comfortable stay”
I had a comfortable and pleasant stay at Cassiopeia Hotel. To begin with, the location on the main road leading down to the jetty is super convenient. The grounds are well kept and maintained. The rooms are fairly basic given the price tag but contain everything you need. The one surprise was the bathroom. The Cassiopeia was the only place during my stay in Myanmar that had an awesome shower with an endless supply of hot water, which was highly appreciated after long, sweaty days out exploring Inle Lake. It even had a bath! Per the photos, the bungalows have a small porch out front, which is a nice place to sit and relax in the evenings. The manager is super friendly and helpful, organising a free bike on my first day and even allowing me to take a shower on my last day after I had checked out because my bus to Yangon didn't leave until 6pm. Breakfast was good and plentiful, and the staff pack you a breakfast box if you miss it due to a tour. I couldn't help feeling that it was a bit-overpriced, but that's typical of Myanmar. All in all, definitely recommended.

Extremely Helpful Manager Went Above and Beyond”
I arrived in Inle Lake on the night bus from Bagan around 5:30am, and the manager, Tin Maung, allowed us to check-in to our room. He then suggested some good itineraries for our 2 days there, and offered reasonable prices for a boat tour around the lake. In addition, he gave us information on reasonable costs of various activities, provided help in booking our flights to Yangon, provided laundry services at cheap prices, and gave us a discount on staying 1 more night. He truly made our stay a pleasant one. The rooms were very clean and are a good size. Breakfast was also good. I’d highly recommend staying here considering the value offered and excellent service.

Thank you for giving your time.
Nice little hotel”
Arrived in Nyaung Shwe approximately 7am on a JJ VIP express bus from Yangon and was able to check in. Not only that, we were given breakfast which we were not entitled to and much appreciated. Stayed 5 nights at this lovely little hotel in a Bungalow but too long for Nyaung Shwe. The only complaint will be the shower had no pressure and it wasn't hot enough. No kettle in the room, thermos only, but will bring you fresh thermos on request at anytime of the day.The local food served for breakfast was often Luke warm to cold and need to improve. Breakfast usually consist of local food, eggs, fruit, toast and banana pancake. More than enough to keep you going till dinner time. Tin Maung was very helpful with our tours and always willing to help us with whatever our needs are, nothing is too hard. Would definitely recommend this hotel but 2 to 3 days in Nyaung Shwe is more than enough.

thank you anyway. we will try our best.
Exceeded expectations! ”
Our stay exceeded all expectations! From the moment of arrival, to departure the staff was flawless. They went out of their way to accommodate all of our needs. They were always friendly and professional. All recommendations they gave, without fail, were spot on- from tours, to restaurants to spas. The hotel was quiet, very clean, new and very well maintained . The rooms were spacious, with huge bathrooms, steaming hot water, and a jet tub! It's central location made it easy to access all Inle Lake has to offer. The breakfast was fantastic! Eggs, toast, fruit, pancakes, juice, coffee, tea. The hotel and location are great, but the staff is what makes this place extraordinary! We highly recommended staying there.

Best we have had in Myanmar”
Both the owner Tin and manager Soe - along with the rest of the staff - do everything possible to make your stay a good experience - bloody marvellous. Breakfast is varied and you can choose almost anything, but do try the banana and honey pancakes, they are great. The location is excellent and Soe will arrange a day out on the lake in a long boat for you - prices vary from $15-$27 depending on what you want to do, but you get 10hrs including sunrise, and visit the floating tomatoes garden and the market, amongst other things. You will also be taken to a number of factory outlets selling all sorts of things, but when you've had enough of them, just say no more and that's it. Soe also arranged a night at the Red Mountain Winery for sunset and dinner - it was one of the highlights of our visit to Inle Lake. We stayed in a deluxe bungalow and would recommend them - would we stay here again - YOU BET WE WOULD.

A good standard hotel centrally located in town”
A good choice hotel for exploring Inle . Over priced by Western standards (as everywhere) but very friendly helpful staff. The rooms are good size and very clean with good beds. Nyuang Shwe is a quirky little town and easily walked around from hotel with local restaurants, massages and bike hire on your doorstep. Easy to book lake trips, just walk down Main Street and they come to you. Recommend Mr Soe Soe for excellent trip at best price. Find his shop near the jetty on the right a few shops before the bridge and Min Min restaurant for good taxi service to airport.

Good Location and Good Service”
We had a pleasant stay at Cassiopeia. The manager is very nice and resourceful. He arranged us a boat trip on Inle Lake through his hotel. The breakfast was sumptuous and great. Try the local dish, it was delicious! The hotel is on the main street in this small town, not far from the restaurants. We'd like to stay there again if we go to Inne again!

Great Service”
The hotel manager, Soe, works incredibly hard to ensure that all the guests needs are met. He gave us some great tips for places to go around town, hooked us up with some complimentary bikes for the three of us, and even arranged for a lake check out on the day we were to take the night bus back to Yangon. For breakfast, we got to choose between pancakes and more traditional fare (Shan noodles, Mohinga). Both were great. I'll definitely stay here again when I come back to Inle lake.

The best pancakes in Myanmar”
This was one of the best hotels we stayed in during our tour around Myanmar. The staff were very helpful, incredibly knowledgeable and were willing to book any tour we wanted, at any time and were helpful in getting us bicycles for touring the town with. When we had a bus trip for 6.30am, the owner packed us an amazing breakfast (breakfast didn't start til 7am) for us to have on our journey. The owner had provided us with extra heavy blankets as well for our beds for the cold nights at Inle Lake. We will more than happily stay here again.

Excellent Place with Friendly Staff”
This hotel is in a great location with helpful staff and clean rooms. You can walk to several restaurants in the area and the traditional puppet show which plays every night. 15 mins. walk to the boat dock to catch the boats to Inle Lake. Excellent breakfast. Although the owner of the hotel said the wifi only works in the lobby, it did work in our room as well.

The staff was super helpful. The location is right in the center of Nyaung Shwe. We gotten airport pickup as well for a reasonable price. Tip: order the Shan noodle for breakfast a day in advance.
