Rural stay”
Very comfortable
quiet relaxing farm style lodge family atmosphere”
same as the above three things plus comfort plus, farm animals for children, mountain views and snow on the hills at specific times.
Perfect Flyfishing Base”
When I obtained domestic approval for nine days of fishing in NZ on my own I was a tiny bit worried that it might be a tad lonely. Luckily, I chose to stay at the Castle Hill Lodge B&B and Sharon and Mark, ably assisted by Barclay and Hercules ensured that this was never going to be a problem. This was a perfect place to base my flyfishing holiday, easy access to a massive range of fishable water, very comfortable accommodation with great food, in a warm and friendly environment. The opportunity to share the evening meal with Sharon and Mark and the other guests provided a great way to round out the day before chasing those wily trout yet again the next day. I highly recommend the Castle Hill Lodge B&B and I am already counting the days to my next visit there in March.
Home away from home”
mark and sharon opened their home for us and treated us to good old fashioned country hospitality. it was so handy being able to stay away from the hecticness of queenstown after flying in at afternoon peak time. a great location for travellers headed towards te anau and the sounds.
