Great Place ”
Considering the price and location, I will stay at the same hotel again if I go back to Barcelona. If you are looking for a luxury place, this is not a 5 star hotel, However the hotel is modern, clean, with the roof pool, and nice staff. It is located slightly away from the touristy area which makes it quiet; however convenient to walk there. I didn't get breakfast included as i wanted to try local restaurants; however, I had their open buffet breakfast twice and it was worth it. Their breakfast is with local and fresh products and very well diverse for different taste.
Great value for money!”
Bus to Park Güell right at the hotel, 100 meters from metro. Walking distance to Sagarada Familia and La Rambla. Cosy area, nice beds. Free tapas (not that fancy, but ok). Rooftop area nice, pool a bit small and cold (in Feb).
Dear Katarina, thank you for the review, it is a pleasure to see you had a good time in our hotel. We hope to see you next time Best regards!
The hotel is located in Born which is an excellent neighborhood with lot of shops and restaurant within walking distance and just 5 mins from the Metro station. The staff were friendly and helpfully. The room is clean and functional. The complementary snack bar is an excellent benefit.
Thank you Chingyi for sharing your personal experience with us. It is a pleasure to see that the staff and the hotel exceed your expectations. We hope to see you soon. Best regards.
I enjoyed my stay at Catalonia. Except the sound isolation is not so good. I could hear what was going on outside clearly. WiFi required for password Every time. I'll remember Catalonia Princessa for the rest of my life :)
Clean room and great location”
I stayed here for 1 night for my visit to Barcelona. Room was big enough and clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. You can go to fantasitic famous spots on foot, such as park de la Ciutadella, port vell, cathdral, plau Guell, Museu Picasso, and many others. The hotel is close to the Metro station, Arc de Triomf, so it is easy to visit other spots, such as Sagrada Familia, Casa Mila, and even Estadi Camp Nou if you love football. It is so convenient that Metro runs 24 hours on Saturday. Overall I enjoyed my stay in the hotel and city.
Nice hotel in an old neighborhood of Barcelona”
Maybe I was lucky, but I had a nice room with a small balcony on the front of the hotel. Room is spacious and it's nice to begin the morning with sunbading on the rooftop. The swimmingpool is small, but nice to refresh.
Central located hotel”
i stayed for business and had a pleasant stay, due to the fact the hotel is centrally positioned. the staff is friendly and professional and the breakfast is delicious (was not included our room fee surprisingly). the access is difficult to find, but once settled you are ok. i would really come back since the price quality comparisation is really good! i love to stay here.
Great location, cozy feel”
Price is very reasonable, very clean, hotel is small, room was comfortable though with large bathroom and balcony overlooking the street. Location great, in trendy Born area steps away from Barri Gotic and metro/ bus. Had a great free snack and espresso bar in evenings. One thing to mention is that sound carries, and in morning/night, we could often hear people coming and going, doors shutting. We used sound machines to block out the noise, so it was not a problem.
Dear Mike, We appreciate your comments about our hotel. It makes us proud to meet the needs of our customers in the best way we can. If you are going to return to our city, do not hesitate to call us. Best regards
Great location and value for money”
The hotel is extremely well located to tour Barcelona.. Metro 5 mnts/ Town centre 15 mnt walk .. . Rooms are very spacious and the bed is perfect to sleep after a long day of walking. The bathroom is very large with a tub as well as a seprate rain shower stall.Overall cleanliness good and staff are friendly. I did not have breakfast so cannot comment. There are several bakeries in the vicinity . The hotel serves snacks from 2 pm to 11 pm to all their guests at no charge ...
Dear Imtiaz, thank you for your lovely review. We are truly happy you enjoy your stay with us. We hope to see you soon on another occasion. Best regards!!
The staff in this hotel are without exception friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a great location for exploring Born and the Gothic quarter and you can walk to the beach in about 15 mins. There are many local shops, cafes, bars and tapas each of a high quality but reasonable prices and not a chain anywhere until you are in the cathedral area. If you want to experience Barcelona without the tourist traps, this is the place to stay.Would highly recommend and will definitely return here
Dear Thomas, thank you for your review. We are truly happy that you enjoyed your stay with us. We hope to see you on another occasion. Best regards!!
Excellent hotel ”
Modern clean hotel , pool area modern and well planned out to maximise rooftop views . Rooms are clean with bath and shower separate . Very friendly and helpful staff thought all areas of hotel in particular the bar/dinning area the reception staff were excellent and helped us with telephone calls to local Spanish speaking tour we had booked. The reception staff always greeted us when we came and went from the hotel. The food in the bar area was varied , very tasty and constantly refilled by friendly bar staff. I would highly recommend this hotel we traveled as a family of 6 all late teens myself and my partner. 10 out of 10
would have been nice except for.....”
we arrived at the hotel and there was no bell boy in sight. Unfortunately, it was left to 2 gals to unload the luggage...but as we went in to look for help, the manager and the person at the reception was talking non-stop and did not even acknowledge our presence when we got into the hotel. Sadly, in those few moments, I stupidly left the car door unlocked thinking I wouldnt be away for long and an expensive bag from the back seat of the car was stolen. Not blaming the hotel entirely but if they had had the bellboy there or been more responsive, I might not have been robbed. Good points - free drinks and snacks in the bar area in the afternoon, decent sized bathroom. Bad points - as above and rooms a little small.
Nice hotel in trendy area. Good walking distance to sights”
Lots of lovely neighbourhood restaurants and bars within walking distance of hotel, without it being in a noisy street (although our room was a courtyard view, not street so perhaps quieter). The rooftop terrace is small but pleasant (this was Xmas & deserted on roof but warm enough for fizz & Xmas gift opening!) we didn't eat at hotel as the place opposite is so sweet!
Very nice hotel, 15 mins walk to the gothic quarter but along nice side streets and by lovely shops”
Pros: Clean hotel, good wifi, nice (but small) pool area, friendly staff, lovely restaurants nearby - Elsa y Fred across road and Santagustina around the corner. Cons: 15 mins walk to Gothic Quarter so not in the centre of things but still very lovely, not far from beach also. 25 mins walk to Sagrada Familia
Great hotel in excellent location”
We stayed for 5 nights and had 3 rooms. There are many hotels in Gothic area. This one is right next to the Arc de Triumphe. Walking distance to most tourist sights. Very friendly staff. Rooms are not big but still ok given the location. Room and bathroom look both newly renovated. Bathroom looks luxurious and has separate shower and tub. Breakfast buffet is very good. We like a good meal for breakfast so that was definitely a plus. The pool on the roof is tiny. the water looked milky for the first 2 days but after that it was very clean. it is 1 meter deep. I would stay again.
Short break in Barca”
Spent four nights at this hotel. Staff were excellent, friendly and helpful. Hotel and room were nicely laid out and very clean. Our room was on a particularly noisy side of hotel overlooking the main entrance, where the street is quite narrow and and noise does seem to be amplified and we did leave our windows open on the first night. We kept them closed, using the air con on a low setting for the remainder of our stay and all was well and good nights sleep were enjoyed on the large comfortable bed.
Nice hotel, good location and helpful staff”
My girlfriend and I enjoyed our stay in this hotel. The rooms are nice and priced well, the hotel was well positioned near a metro stop, a lively Park and the Gothic quarter. The staff we always helpful and attentive. The only complaint would be the noise outside when bins were being collected at 3am, but it is in a city... If you can I would request an inward facing room (facing the courtyard).
great location, friendly stuff, close to Metro”
It is a very pleasant small hotel at the quiet part of the Gothic area. Nice friendly stuffs and good local restaurants just outside. The hotel even has a tiny small pool on the rooftop which is very relaxing on a hot day after out for sightseeing for a day. Only the sundeck is also small and there is a shortage of chairs if many guests share the same thoughts as you. Do stay on the top floor and avoid the bottom floor. It was very dark and you can't open the window. You will get panic if you have cloister phobia. I jumped out immediately after I got my room which at first was on the ground floor. I asked for a change and got it. The rest of the stay was very pleasant.
Centrally Located Clean Hotel”
When we arrived we were told they were actually full so they put us in their other hotel a few blocks up. Although I was disappointed they had not contacted me to tell us (my mother had just arrived from a. Long flight from NZ) it was very clean, large rooms and the staff were very friendly. The breakfast was great and both hotels are right in the middle of the action in Barcelona. Would definitely stay here again.
The wifi connectivity was not good in my room....endless disconnections. The front desk staff were excellent from all dimensions The location for the old quarter district was excellent The room itself was very comfortable The rooftop pool is cool!
