Location ”

due to air delays Oz-Nz we didn’t arrive until 2100 staff were very accommodating even giving us a late check out 12pm so we could do the sights the next day before moving on to our next destination. room 10 was beautiful well presented the biggest comfortable bed ever, could not even hear the road workers warm their trucks up, can not fault this place. Location location location is what’s best about this place 10mins to Glowworm, 40 mins to waterfall, 5 mins to Otorohanga what more can you ask for if your wanting a great location for a great price and welcoming staff. Perfect location for caves”

Great stay. We are reviewing this as a basic motel, which is the accommodation provided. Basic, clean, great access to caves and beautiful surrounding countryside. Take a walk and meet the local ostriches, horses and alpacas.

Self Drive Holiday”

Overnight stay following flight into Auckland and visit to the Glow worm Caves. Very comfortable bed, good food in the restaurant, clean and warm rooms. Extensive roadworks are currently taking place out the front, but the noise wasn't noticeable in our room. Don't let appearances deceive you, the exterior looks dated, but the rooms are clean, well maintained and recently refurbished.

Central and Pretty”

Excellent surroundings, friendly staf, close to the Glow Worms Caves and stepping stone to the Natural Bridge and waterfalls.

Good for a quick stopover”

Good location near the caves. Good restaurant included as well. Rooms are quite old and not so well maintained. Shower was constantly dropping. Can be a bit loud from the street. But all in all good value for money.

Waitomo Stay”

I enjoyed my stay. I recommend it for the following reasons: 1. The manager went out of her way to make sure I had everything I needed, and provided her own guide on attractions I could see and do. 2. The view from my room was amazing. 3. It is located on a main road so it was easy to get to places outside of Waitomo. 4. Good facilities. The bed was very comfortable.

10 min drive to waitomo cave”

You have to drive about 10km to another small town for food or shopping. Near by was only around I-site centre (on the way to waitomo cave) which you would able to locate but it close at 5pm.

Good Location”

We booked this property due to its location. We were visiting Waitomo Caves then travelling onto Taupo. The room was spacious with all the facilities that we required.

pleasant stay and friendly staff attending to us”

we stayed for only a night.it was a pleasant stay.the motel is about 5-8 minutes drive to the waitomo caves where we went to see the glow worm.An amazing experience.

Dated and basic”

The staff were friendly and helpful upon checkin and checkout. The place itself is nearby the cave activities and right on be main road, just south of a town for food and other needs. The place itself however is very dated and in need of renovation. It was a little dingy with a musty smell but overall clean.

Experiece was pretty Good”

Location and view was PERFECT although it was situated along the main highway.We are pretty Happy & Satisfied. Maybe the weather was pretty cold abit during night time in April and some insects will fly in to rooms if the windows are leave open.

2 families with kids, best budget offer”

We stayed with 2 families with kids being a 5 y o and a 1 y o. The suite fit our budget properly and was close to the waitomo.caves, and approximately 40 mins drive from Morokopa falls.

Clean comfortable room, with balcony and view. We had dinner both nights good value for money. Only draw back road quite noisy but earplugs supplied

Good option out of Waitomo”

Good option out of Waitomo itself. Price is quite reasonable. Only big downside is proximity to the Highway which can make sleeping difficult if you are a light sleeper.
