Good for a solo traveler or a couple”
The room is tight and small but it’s ok for the money. It would be better to go there as a solo traveler or with your significant other, not with a friend. It’s too small to share this with a friend probably. The staff is super nice and the place is super clean.
This place is located in a dark alley that smells horrific. The room smallest of mold and looked old”
I definitely do not recommend. Me and my friend after 18h of travels decided to just take our bags and leave... it was impossible to spend there a night. Our room smelled of mold and it was was a general feeling of not being clean. I will try to get my money black because the pictures lie.
Walking distance to main Street”
Value for money, they have a free breakfast like pancake with syrup, banana and coffee, NO MENU to choose. the staff is very accommodating.
This is a very old house that has been converted into a hotel! Everything is terrible including the staff that works there!! They gave us a room right next to the reception area and said sorry there hotel is full!!! Warning to all guests, do not book this hotel as its terrible!!! And the children from the next door building makes a very big noise every morning! Then the other hotel guests makes a load noise at the breakfast area which is right next to our room, as a result we could not sleep!
Nice Tiki Style Hut Guest House, but set in an uncomplimentary location!”
The guest house is surrounded by the really noisy and poorer part of the town! The walls are all made of weaved bamboo and are really thin, so you will here everything from the noises of passing tricycles with their roaring engines, to cocks that will wake you up at 3am, followed by the pounding club level sounds of Karaoke at 7am from the house next door! After complaining to the girl at reception, they stopped doing it for the rest of the stay, but not a nice feeling when you just come off a late 6 hour death defying van ride from Puerto Princessa! Other than that it’s cheap and clean, but the breakfast is lousy! Expect the world’s smallest omelets and Pancakes with Jam everyday for your entire stay! Location wise it’s convenient because it’s 5 min walk away from the Port Beach and you have access to the BPI- ATM around the corner which has always got money! P.s. Don’t swim in the port beach it’s contaminated sewage waste from all the hotels, go to the beaches away from downtown!
Pictures showed the "villa" but booking was in "Pension"”
Decent value, clean place. It gets pretty noisy around 530am, as traffic is heavy outside. Pictures when I booked showed a detached villa, but I only got a room in a house. I guess its a mistake.. Otherwise nice place though.
Great staff, great value for El Nido”
The young woman who runs the hotel does an excellent job, affordable motorcycle rentals, room isn't quite as nice as the picture but still had a good stay for 3-4 days
This is really a rustic place. Very difficult to find and far from the shore and restaurants. I guess you get what you pay, this is one of the most affordable options in El Nido. Suitable only if you are a backpacker.
This place was not what I imagined from the pictures but still worth the money. It's a short walk from the beach and has great free breakfast. It's built right up against a beautiful rock formation!
Would not return or recommend ”
Two young girls running the small hotel were friendly and knowledgable. Location was very much in with the locals which without sounding like a horrible person did not feel clean and safe. Our room was small with double bed against the wall. No natural light and prone to a few bugs. Noisey due to location. Cockerel, dogs, cats, trikes and kids all systems go at 6.30am. Breakfast was ok and set menu everyday of pancakes and eggs. Walls extremely thin between each room so don't expect privacy.
Laid back ”
If you are looking for a laid back, budget friendly and native type of accomodation CED Pension is a great finds. I love how the staff treated us. She waited us to arrived even its was almost midnight. The location is good, a five minute walk is fair enough away from the bustling area of El Nido. An awesome limestone mountain view and flying swiftlets(if you wake up at 6am). The room has very good airconditioning, good shampoo and liquid soap(it will moisturized your skin), hot and cold water although sometimes the water pressure is low, but it is understanble why it got into that point. I hope CED Pension would consider these improvements: a. Breakfast options (it would be better if the foreign/local tourist has an option for breakfast) b. Better WIFI connection c. Big mirror per room Above all it was a great stay. CED Pension offers the simplicity of El Nido and laid back vacation
Awsome staff and location
Definitely gonna book again here!”
enjoyed our stay! Good location nice and very helpful staff. more breakfast options though.
friendly staff, nice place”
good place to stay in el Nido
Affordable and accessible place to stay”
we stayed in CED Pension for 2 nights.. What I love about it here are: -friendly, accommodating and helpful staff -the attendant is even so considerate that she let us use a room for us to change even if we are already checked out -also, they accommodates us even if we checked in so late -the aircondition unit is so cold -there are toiletries available -hot and cold shower -walking distance to the port and the restaurants, shops -the view outside is relaxing even if there are many houses But the following are the things that they can improve: -better WIFI connection -cleaner pillowcase because the pillows in our room have some black like dirt/dust -more breakfast option because on our first day we were served with pancake and egg. However they are so kind enough because they serve us with rice, egg and corned beef the next day -place where we can hang our wet clothes, maybe outside the room But above all.. We are grateful and glad for a very wonderful stay in CED Pension. Thanks to the staff.
Good for the money”
It serves its purpose
Ced Pension is decently located and is a good budget alternative if you have no options. The toilet seats were not cleaned (dried spots of urine) when we arrived and there cobwebs all around.
Facilities are good”
It is a quite place and native but partly modern facilities. Staffs are accommodating, they let us borrow umbrella when we want to walk around the town.
The ced pension is nice and, at first, it looked clean, staff is welcoming and overall nice, after spending the afternoon there, we were happy and actually requested staying longer... During the day we saw a cockroach on our room... "Whatever" we thought, after all it's "el nido bugs" and decided to just shoo it out and keep relaxing... Evening- dinner out and At night we went back... Well, we were greeted in our door by a swarm of AT LEAST 80 or 90 cockroaches flying and running crazily in the corridor to our room! to the point we had to wait some 5 minutes to get an opportunity to walk past them (when ar least no bug was flying) and get to our room. There were three on our room, so we grabbed our stuff and tried to leave the place, but we were blocked by the massive crazy cockroaches outside, so We sealed every slit in the door and windows to avoid more of them getting in and next morning (no bugs on sight) we changed hotels without hesitation
