I searched for hotel with parking and this is what Agoda recommend only to find there was no parking at hotel. I had to pay $30 more to park my car 10-15 Min walk away and that made it very hard to load and unload bags. No towels changed for the tonight’s we where there. Hotel surrounded by road works so it took 50mins to get out of hotel area (50 meters) when heading to airport
Nothing to complain”
Good location, clean and big room with living area and kitchen facility, walking distance to countdown supermarket. Their own parking area which charges 30NZD is with quick elevator access to room, a big man at reception is very helpful and patient, tried him best help me to pay a parking penalty online ..
Great location for the price but needs upgrading”
The location was very convenient and the staff were friendly and helpful.. the carpets and furnishings were tired and grotty. You wouldn't walk around barefoot. But it was decent value for the location.
Great location for a concert”
Great location for concert. Had a 2 bedroom apartment & it was lovely. Only complaint is the the lack of parking outside the building meant one of us had to run in & check in, whilst the other drove around the block searching for a park. I guess that's Auckland City for you though. Would stay again for sure.
Depends on how much you pay”
This is a nice apartment if you get it at a good price. The room was showing a bit of wear and tear but at under $100 a night it's great value. As it's an apartment you really do not have much need for the staff but they are friendly when you check in and out.
Excellent evening manager and front desk desk person.very helpful
Need to smarten up their office staff. They had a girl on who had no idea and failed with most customers to give correct working keys. Our room wasn’t ready until 3:45 pm. No information to inform guests that rooms weren’t cleaned daily.
Conviniently located near the 24/7 Britomart. The Filipino concierge was very very accommodating and kind to us. HOWEVER, we had a very RUDE encounter with the staff in charge of cleaning our rooms after checkout.
Dear Catalina, Thank you for your recent stay and your kind review. We will take into account all your comments regarding customer service to further improve it. we hope to see you back again in near future. Best Regards, Kamalpreet Brar
Signboard not Obvious”
We drove pass the place without noticing the signboard. The apartment is part of a building that has a Indian restaurant. The apartment interior is as shown and the kitchen facilities is good. The only con is that there is no free parking facilities, other than that no complains.
All the comforts of home”
Booked into an extremely spacious two-bedroom apartment which catered perfectly for our 4-person group. Facilities include a kitchenette which comes with pots, pans and cutlery, as well as all of your standard amenities that you would find in a proper business hotel. The apartment balcony for the two-bedroom apartment is enormous and provides great views out towards the harbour. Parking is available on site, however, is very limited and expensive at NZ$25 per night.
Dear Shing, Thank you again for your recent stay and we do extend our appreciation for your kind reviews! We are happy to hear that you have enjoyed your stay and hoping to see you back soon at our Hotel. Best Regards, Kamalpreet Brar
we didn't reserve parking lot, and it was full when we got there. Thankfully there is a rented parking lot right in front of the hotel. There is no clear sign where we can drop our luggage, because we can't stop in front of the hotel. We rent 2 rooms apartment with extra bed put in the living room. spacious space for 5 people with great view and very clean.
Great location but staff service is just satisfactory”
Great location to Queens St, Ferry Building and Countdown Supermarket is just round the corner. We asked for car park when booking through Agoda (which is routed to Booking.com) and this request was not communicated to the hotel. We were told by a male offcer at the service desk that we did not request for onsite parking (NZD25) and was told to park at their offsite car park (NZD22). This male officer was not helpful when we fumbled over the parking and luggage issue. The way he returned my credit card was literally "rude". However, we were approached by a kind indian native customer service lady officer who offered to hep us.She managed to get an onsite parking lot for us as there was a last minute cancellation. It is an apartment and reception will close at 10pm. The air-con was leaking and we noticed this after 10pm when we returned to the room late that night. We were given high floor and the view was great. It is probably a great resting place for corporate travellers and not so much for tourists like us.
Hotel under rennovation”
- the hotel is conveiently located near the wharf - the hotel is under renovation, the smell is strong - parking is nzd 25 for multiple entries (even once), quite pricey - the apartment is big but balcony door is locked.
overall are good. But the parking fees are limited about less than 15 units for whole building and it charged NZ25 per day, which i think too pricey. We can park at exact opposite the hotel or just next block which charge only NZ15 per night operated under WILSON.
Pretty Amazing but not without issues”
I booked a single room and asked for a view and they gave me a huge gorgeous 2 bedroom suite on the 14 floor. The rooms were well prepared with nice sheets and towels, etc. However, the (huge, amazing) balcony was extremely dirty - black, urban dirt. Generally my impression of of Celestion Waldorf from my 4 night stay is extremely positive and I would consider staying there again. It was great to be able to walk to the city center or the sea in 2 minutes, and there was a huge Countdown grocery store just around the corner. But, like most hotels in NZ, there was no free wifi in the room. Instead there is a pay-per GB service, from which I purchased a 4 GB/ 7-day package for 30$, which mysteriously ran out after 1.7 GB, with no recourse whatsoever. The staff refused to assist in any way, only saying that the service was not under their control, and that they could send an email to the provider but no idea of when the response would come. No response came, and the 30$ was charged to my room bill. So - a rip off. There was no way for me to contact the provider, no service to monitor data usage, etc. I really felt it was a scam. Small, but still soured the stay somewhat. Other than this, I would recommend the hotel.
Nice and spacious apartment ”
Second time in Auckland within one month, I decide to stay at this apartment again. Same spacious room, clean and nice open kitchen. Staff are very nice and helpful. Close to Britomart station and supermarket. Highly recommended.
convenient hotel with full kitchen ”
It was a wonderful stay in Auckland 2 weeks in this apartment. A very big supermarket is just 5 mins walk. Every night after work I went to this supermarket and buy beef steak or lamp chop and prepare my dinner in room. Kitchen facility is sufficient and disk washer is wonderful. Have lamp chop and wine (e.g. Pinot Noir) in room at a very budget price!
Good Location, Good Rooms”
location: near to main shopping directory room: stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment; big living rooms; fully equiped kitche; very comfortable beds and sofas; only 1 tv in the living room; 3 light bulbs were out but only one was changed after i reported it. staff: very friendly and helpful.
These apartments are in a central location, walking distance to the wharf and to the main shopping street as well as to the Britomart Station. The units could be cleaner and they could be brighter and the entry way to the Emily side could be improved so it does not look rundown going in. No cleaning services are provided if you are staying less than 7 days--so you've got to do your chores to keep it clean during your stay.
Great facilities in the room. Clean and tidy. Great location, friendly staff and really comfortable. More info on parking would have been appreciated as we were unsure of exact price and where the parking was, ie Britomart or in the actual building. Once we arrived, we realised that the carpark was on the building and was $30 for the night, which was perfect. Thank you.
