It was nice location and very near tourist place, near icon siam river, shops, foods .good staff. Mr mak was fanstic person him avalablle 19hour in reception and him help to lots.i refer to go my friends in centaur inn hostel.
Good value for the cost. The building is a little old but they keep it clean and in working order. My room needs a new mattress but it was bug-free and comfortable. The staff went all-out to make sure I was confortable. I appriciate it.
Awesome and very friendly staff at the hotel.
good price and good location”
The centaur inn hotel located at Surawong and silom road, walking in 5-10 minutes to interesting place, very closed to saphan Taksin, where can easy go to Asiatique, Grand palace relax by boat on Chao Praya river.
About as grim as they come”
Don't go by the photos, or if you do find a filter that makes them makes them look like they've been through several apocalypses and not come out well. Booked several months in advance thought I was getting a stellar deal but didn't check past reviews and left after about 2 days. Stuffy as fuck, fan was super loud, BED BUGS, also what sounded like a fight/potential stabbing on our last night. It looks like a steal but absolutely not worth the money
Very dissapointed - old hotel”
Very bad rooms everything is old
badhu navu joye to avta pela mongi room book karo to tamne malse good room.thank you praggnesh
Dirty hole in the wall ran by crooks”
Choose the option pay on arrival. They cancelled my order and then tried to charge me over twice as much as what was agreed to on Agoda.
worst hotel we’ve been in thailand”
The room was nasty and hasn’t been clean in years, there was ants everywhere, rats in the hallway. We booked for two nights but left right away the next morning. My boyfriend had a wound on his foot and when we woke up there was a ton of ants inside is wound.Nightmare. please don’t go there. And the owner never paid us back and he told us we had to pay 1000 bath for an A/C
Don`t stay here”
I do not recommend this hostel. It`s very old and dirty. The worst thing - they have bed bugs. Firstly we stayed in room 311. After we found out about bed bugs, stuff offered us another room - 206, which was having bed bugs as well!!! So this night we had to spent without sleep... :( Lady on reception was not surprised about our complain and did not even apologize! Seems like nobody in this place really care about the business. So don`t stay here guys.
i wish i could rating in negative coz hotel disorve that...when i reached receptionest was not there she went for lunch after half an hour she came really terrible how she was talking like we are staying free she really dont have sence how need to talk with customers first time this was terrible experience of my life ....sucks hotel ....bit....* receptionist.
Good dormitory and may have private rooms also upstairs, but I never visited that. Shared shower and toilet rooms with night time air-con in operation, Close to Asiatique and Bangkok main rail station and good place for the affordable prices.
Private A/C Room Was Unclean”
The downstairs area is fine. The head staff member is helpful and friendly. Upstairs in our room they flicked on the light and about 10 roaches scattered. The A/C unit was working - that's a plus. The bed sheets had brown stains on them. The white pillow cases had black stains on them. The bathroom had ants everywhere and black mold in every corner. With that said, I understand it's a budget hostel. If I was traveling solo and on a shoestring budget, and also just laying my head down as I passed out in a drunken bliss, this hostel would be acceptable. it's in a decent location, and it's quiet. Just beware and check out the room before you pay upfront for 4 days, in full, like I did.
Price and location”
The cleanliness of the Centaur leaves a lot to be desired. I've stayed there many times and never come across a clean bath mat. However, the location is superb for street food, there's an excellent food court beneath the flyover, just across the road. It is also close to Soi Silom and the Patong night markets.
So not stay here!”
I only lasted 45 mins here. When I checked in I went and sat on my bed and felt something crawling on my legs. Turns out they were bed bugs. I look pictures and showed the staff and they looked at me like they didn't know what I was talking about. Another guy had his bed removed after he talked to staff about something. The place is dingy and very cheap. Do not stay here unless you want to sleep with bed bugs
Most horrible place to stay. EVER”
First of all, their location is in some hidden alley.. I was lost for nearly 1.5 hours finding for the place. Secondly, it is not a 8 people sharing dorm. There were 7 double deck beds, which means you will share the room with 13 others. The bathroom n toilets were ok, but the floor was extremely dirty even though travellers were not allowed to use shoes/sandals in the room. They never swept the floor probbly!! Sticky n dirty!! And then, there were BED BUGS!! If only i had known earlier, i would have left the place n find a better hotel to stay! When i told the staff (or the owner or the manager) he gave the dumb look and said will change the sheets and spray. After which i was still badly bitten again. I complained again and i was given another bed to sleep, but didnt quite get to escape from the bed bugs and i was awake whole night!! When i tried looking at other beds, i realized that both times i was offered the thin old mattresses, while the rest slept in what looked like new beds and way thicker! Discrimation agaist asian travellers coz we are not as rich as western travellers? I dont know for sure. The placed is managed by Indians (maybe owned too). They were not helpful at all, not friendly and loves to give the FU look!! I hope agoda will not be having these kinda places! Such a disaster!! And it does spoil agodas reputation!!!
Room was old and very dirty. Facilities was working well, wifi too. Location is not bad. Could stay for 1 night, it is cheap. But I would not recommend to do it, because rooms are dirty. I saw two of them.
Reasonable Budget Hotel in Bangkok”
I stayed in this budget hotel during April this year for 11 days period. First, i did book for 6 days. Then, re-booked for another 5 days with my other Malaysian friends who also attending the Songkran Festival. Frankly speaking, it has no 5 Star facilities but do have a complete 2 Star facilities with a friendly gesture from the Morning Shift Manager, the Kerala Supervisor and the Night Shift Supervisor Uncle. Besides, the guests are very ameable and affable to one another. My suggestion would be to ensure the cleaner boys to make bedsheet and wash the bathroom every time the guest has left the room. Overall, it was an awesome experience in this budget hotel. The public transports are all situated in the vicinity; tut-tut, bus, train and MRT. The restaurants, stalls, night clubs are also within your reach. The best part was you definately would feel at home. In fact, I am going there again during December holidays. It is worth to stay here. Trust me.
Cheapest & Friendlies 2-Star Hotel In Bangkok City”

no frills, free bedbugs”
Cleanliness is an issue, often depends on which member of staff did the job. There have been bedbugs, with little and inadequate motivation from management to address the issue. The 14 person dorm is windowless, so can get smelly, especially when the staff cook curry in the kitchen next to it. Air con is strong but off during the day when it's needed most. 2/3 cold water showers only. Only shared area is a large room with table/chairs, right next to reception, good for people watching. Positives - excellent location, a few friendly staff to balance out the sour faces, and it's possibly the cheapest dormitory in Bangkok.
One of the BEST if not the best budget Inn ”
I have to say it's very very good. Although we arrive at the hotel late missing 2 days of the 3 days that we booked earlier, the staff just move those dates on the following days so we still got the 3 days without additional charge. We have private cr, 24 hr water supply, 24hr wifi, ceiling fan, wide bed for two, window not accessible by anyone outside, tables, lockers and socket. It's good for middle class individuals or not so choosy and demanding high class people. Hahaha. I feel that my room here is like a room for college student with its basic amenities. They don't offer food I guess except for tea but there's a lot of thai food stalls just across the hotel. Its very accessible by all means of transportation and near to many of Bangkok's tourist destination along the riverside. In fact, manage to walk until the riverside passing a lot of businesses, banks, shops, restaurants, ..... I shall extend my stay for ten more days with discount for sure. It's just a matter of negotiating nicely. Kkkk.
