Extremely polite & friendly staff. Amazing hostel.”

Brand New! Vintage inspired furniture, lovely decor, warm and very welcoming.

This was the first time my partner and I stayed at a hostel and we were blown away with the amazing time we had there. The moment we arrived we were greeted warmly by the staff. The decor and atmosphere of the hostel was a very welcoming homely feeling. The hostel is brand new so the place looks immaculate. The furniture and decor is gorgeous and vintage inspired. The rooms have air conditioner and each bed is separated from each other to give you more privacy which is important in hostels. The toilets and bathroom was always clean and smell free. Free internet with fast speeds always available (even in the bedrooms). The location of the hostel is also very close to train stations and bus stops. Bugis Junction was just a short walk away and little India within 5 minutes walk. There are many eateries around the hostel that are open until very late serving delicious roti, dumplings and more. Our highlight of the stay was definitely the amazing staff. They are so polite and helpful and will go out of their way to help you with anything you need. We stayed for over a week and loved every moment of our stay. We will definitely stay here again every time we are in Singapore and highly highly recommend this hostel to others. Thank you B88! Keep up the awesome job!

Superb Location!!!”

Location, location, location

Quirky and fun lobby/reception area: huge mirror, chandeliers, space for lounging, cute mural in breakfast area describing Singapore food and drink in a fun way. b88 Hostel was undergoing renovations during my stay in Nov 2013. Elevator was not available to use. It was difficult enough carrying my luggage to the second-floor Ladies Dorm; can't imagine having to haul heavy bags to the third, fourth or fifth floors! Comfortable room. Clean, except for the long black hairs I kept finding on my fleece blanket (I have short hair). Great wifi signal in room. Tip: Instead of walking to Bugis MRT Station, take bus #130 from the stop right outside b88. Bugis Station is just three stops away (after Sim Lim Tower and Ophir Rd). Take bus #64 & 65 to Dhoby Ghaut MRT Station (stop is opposite Park Mall and a short walk to station). Bus #64 turns left on to Clemenceau Ave immediately after that stop but #65 goes on to the Somerset and Orchard Rd areas.

I loved myown "hole in the wall"”

capsule-beds for privacy; lovely roof garden; cleanness

Welcoming check-in (be aware there's a cash deposit for key card). My room was in the 4th floor and there is no lift, but manager even carried my bag. The calsule bed is single size, enough space even to sit in. Lockers in dorm provided, although big bags and suitcases may not fit in. Each capsule has it's own power outlet in a little lockable drawer, perfect to charge your devices. I loved the little privacy the capsule provided me with. It might be just a hole in the wall, but if you close the curtains, you can easily hide away from the others. Due to this even the big 16pax dorm didn't feel crowded. Bathrooms are well maintained and reasonably clean, but they can get very warm and humid when busy. My personal highlight is the lovely roof garden, which is a peaceful place and sweetly decorated. Great spot to hang out and chill. During my stay I had it to myself quite often. The whole hostel is served by free WiFi and the connection is good everywhere but on the roof. I always felt save and welcome there; so much that I even extended my stay at Central 65.

Nice Hostel”

clean bed, good security, nice breakfast

first of all, this hostel not in Bugis area, I've experienced trouble when I was tried to find Jalan BEsar in Bugis. This hotel located near Little India area, couple blocks from Mustafa Center. Nearest MRT station is Ferrer PArk Station (purple line). For the backpackers hotel this hotel has a nice breakfast in the morning and they also have good security. The bed was nice and clean. the size of the bedroom was enough for me (I'm overweight ;)). but they have not many bathroom/shower so you have to wake up earlier to avoid queueing in shower. overall I was satisfied with this hostel. in front of the hotel there are bus stop, so it can takes you to place do you want to go in Singapore.

A capsule hotel that meets all the requirements”

Location, value for money, bed

I've stayed in Central 65 Hostel twice, and plan to stay again for the next few times I'm in Singapore. The hostel is located in front of a bus stop, you can ride the bus to the nearest MRT (Bugis), or the bus goes all the way to Shenton Way and Raffles Quay. Thus, if you need a place that can bring you direct to town, Central 65 is a pretty good stop. The beds are okay; a little small so its hard to pack/unpack but the benefits of a Capsule hotel is you don't really have to worry about people looking at your face when you are asleep at night. My only issue with the hostel is that the toilets are in a terrible condition; they feel dirty and the water pressure in the shower is really low. However, for the price you are paying for a room in Central 65 it really is hard to beat; the comforts of a capsule hotel for such a low price point. That's why I keep staying in Central 65 when I'm in Singapore.

Good value for money.”

Friendly staff members, strategic location and good value for money.

I had a wonderful time in Singapore and having the right hostel was an added experience to it. The staff were very friendly and ever so willing to help. As this is not my first visit to Singapore, I must say that this hostel has the cleanest rooms and bathrooms, a wide variety for breakfast, 24 hours pantry services, a big common area for their guests (it actually looks exactly like in their gallery photos) I have experienced, albeit the lack of space in the rooms that can be improved hopefully in the near future. It is located at a very strategic area with food options just at your doorstep. The bus stop is just right out front and shopping spots are just a few stops away. However, if you just need a place to stay, cheap and is not fussed about space, then I highly recommend B88 Hostel to anyone anyday.

Safe & quite choice for female solo traveller”

Great location, good price and friendly staff

Compare with Little India area, here is a quite and safe place to stay for a female solo traveller. Surrounded by MRT stations like Bugis and Little India, it takes about 10 mins walk to each station on North East Line, East West Line and Down Town Line, but some road were temporary blocked because the project of the Down Town Line, so it was a little bit inconvenient to arrived the hostel. There are few food centres and restaurants nearby the hostel, you always can find something to eat, and the Mustafa Centre is not faraway too. Hostel offer easy breakfast and you can try the famous Singapore Kaya and Kopi, but it might be a problem if you carry a big luggage, because this four floor building without a lift. The bedroom was clean and offer lockers, a designed dorm offer a bigger space but no curtain. About the bathroom, each floor have 1 shower, 1 toilet and shower+toilet suite, it's a little bit busy for all the guest in one floor at the morning, and you can use the hair dryer at ground floor. The hostel staff Pei Ying was so warm, she treat you like friend and we have a good talk, I would love to visit there again.

Good accommodation with backpacker-friendly price!”

Comfortable bed, friendly staff and great location

This is a good and cheap choice among other affordable accommodation options in Singapore. The beds and common spaces in Central 65 Hostel are clean, cozy and upbeat, except the fact that the bathroom area is not very well-considered when it was built since the shower-rooms are between toilet rooms, so high chance is you are caught into a stinky situation while taking a bath. The staffs are generally friendly and helpful, while the location is convenient (close to busstop and it takes a few minutes to walk to a near metro center). There's a great dimsum spot near Central 65 hosten (just down the street a little bit and on the opposite side of the road, it's called Swee Choon Tim Sum Restaurant, you should put this on your list, foodies!), besides, there's also a food center as well as other restaurants very close to this hostel). In general, I think this is great and I would recommend Central 65 Hostel to solo-duo travelers or group backpackers

Promising New and Modern Hostel”

really hospitable!, clean and brand new

I was in Sg researching restaurants for a restaurant project back home and had the pleasure of coming across the b88. Having spent 20 years in the hospitality industry, I'd say they know full well being hospitable is the most important part. The staff, especially, Chew, all went above and beyond helping me find places. She actually took me on a mini food tour. what hotel manager would ever do that!?!? I love the modern feel of this place. This was my first capsule experience and have to say I really liked it. Lockers for your stuff, lock box beside your bed, outlets and ac. It for some reason feels reminiscent of camping, but with all the creature comforts of a hotel. I slept better here than I do at home. You may want an eye mask and ear plugs in case there are any snorers. They are shared rooms. Most people are very considerate, with an exception of a few doors slamming in the night and the penetrating smell of some guy who coated himself in tiger balm. I was lucky to have my 8 bed room to myself most nights during the week. The hostel was only into it's second week when I visited, but off to a very promising start! Good luck to you guys!

Staff is helpful, value of money ”

Staff, value of money, clean

-Staffs were so nice and friendly -the room is tiny but that is what you have paid for. I have no problem with the tiny size of the room. -But, I did not like the bed itself because my bed is making noise every time I move myself. This made me worried that I will disturb other people in the room. -there is 1 relatively small locker to store your 'cabin luggage' ie it won't fit your big checked luggage or odd size bag pack. You can lock the locker. They will give you the key which is good! -there is another small locker attached on the wall at your bed for storing your small personal items such as phone and wallet. But mine couldn't be locked. -I am short and I got the upper bed which i found it was difficult for me to climb up there. -my room was female only dorm and the area and the room itself is locked. You can only go in there if you stay in this particular room/area. I love it because it gives me security and privacy. There are 2 rooms in female dorm area. Each room contains up to 6 people. The toilet is female only too. The female dorm is located in 2nd floor (which is great because there is no lift in the hostel). -please be aware that the hostel has no lift and the stairway is too small and narrow which will be problem if you are bringing lots of luggage or big one. -breakfast: just bread and cereal -location: i arrived in Singapore at 7pm and it was too dark and so I got lost. The hostel is like 15-20mins walk from bugis station. And there were lots of construction which impact on pedestrian way and so it is hard to walk with your bag/luggage. But I found out in the morning that the hostel is pretty close to bugis shopping area/attraction. The only problem is only when it is dark

Great Staff”

We stayed for 3 nights at Central 65 and had a good stay. The location was a bit further from the MRT stations than we expected, a difficult walk with bags but doable. There are several buses that stop right in front of the hostel though. The staff were really excellent. The lady who was there in the mornings (didn't catch her name) was especially helpful with any questions I had, even going so far as to write directions and bus names down for me. The guy who was there in the afternoon wasn't nearly as helpful and seemed reluctant to deal with guests but wasn't horrible. The capsule beds were more spacious than I expected as well, having never stayed in a capsule. The curtains give a decent sense of privacy in what would otherwise be a cramped space. The only issues I had were with a few of the other guests having conversations late at night and not cleaning up after themselves in some of the public spaces, especially the bathroom, but this wasn't a constant thing. Also the jacuzzi was not functioning while I was there, which was a bit disappointing. I'd recommend Central 65 if you need a decently clean and comfortable place for a few nights without any frills.

had a pleasant time with b88!”

great location, super awesome staff, safe area

b88 became the winner of my hostel choice after reading those superb reviews about the place. And at the time of booking, Agoda/b88 had 17 bucks a night deal from a normal price of 34? So didn't really have a second thought I booked it right away for 5 nights. Boy if I had made the wrong choice! Although I was walking around 11pm from Bugis MRT station to find this place and was get lost for quite a bit because there's a new MRT construction going on that they have to close some of the roads, but in fact it's located just IN the Bugis area. About 9-11 minutes walking to the MRT but only 9-11 seconds walking to the bus station, ha! Just familiarize a bit with the bus station since it can get confusing because there's no sign or anything that tells you what is the next stop inside the bus, so I always had my Google maps from my smartphone ready to track my location. Nice breakfast I could tell, they had bunch of cereals, milk, bananas, bread, some jams. As a vegan, breads with peanut butter & jelly is my safe choice. There's toaster and microwave as well. They sell universal plug for S$8 and S$2 towel rental. And I think S$5 each for washing and drying? I'm not sure because I didn't use it. Find the staff by the name of Pei Ying (so sorry if I spelled that wrong!). She let me do the check in the next day instead and gave me key and towel once I got there around 11:30pm. She even walked me to the hawker (food center) place a block from the hostel the next day to show me the vegetarian spot. And then showed me some bus numbers that will bring me to ION orchard and what to do and stuff like that. Very helpful! (Too bad I didn't see her the last few days of my stay to say thanks and good bye). One thing though, and this is only the concern on my end. This trip is my first solo trip, and had I known that stay in a coed-shared room would be THAT uncomfortable, I would've chosen the female-only room. From my little capsule (which is nice and cute, btw), I could see

Nice clean and comfy Budget hotel”

Clean, Friendly and very accommodating Staff, Budget friendly

Very comfy, clean and budget friendly hostel, and the staff are very accommodating.. we arrived at the hotel 2 hours early than the check in time, we asked if we could check in earlier, they allowed us without extra charge.. :D and during check out, they also allowed us to leave our things at the lobby since our flight is late in the evening and we still need to go somewhere. i will definitely recommend this to my friends and will definitely go back to this hostel if i'll go back to SG... ;)

Good but....”

accomodating staff and comfy bed

Central 65 is good in its facilities but then the travellers who are booking here don't have any manners. The staff are keeping the hostel clean but then some of the guest here are keeping it dirty. It would be good if the staff reminds the guest how to be clean as a respect to the other guest. Overall it is a good hostel without the dirty guest 😁

Great and Nice Hostel”

Great breakfast, fast internet, easy access.

it's quite good, the hostel's location is near from Bugis station MRT, Bugis junction, Bugis street, Mustofa, and easy access to public transport with bus halte infront of the hostel. And also it has a great breakfast and cute handsome staff. :3 I think I wanna stay at the b88 hostel if I come to Singapore again someday.

Value for money for budget hostel”

I chose this hostel for two-night stay. It is near to Bugis street and MRT Jalan Besar for walk. Buses stop right in front of this hostel. In short, public transportation options are a plus. This hostel is also not really far from orchard road, mustafa mosque, bugis st. and recommended for solo and group travelers. But I don't think it fits for family travelers. You can grab free drink (coffee and tea) anytime. Nice rooftop at sixth floor. Easy and express check-in with SGD 10 for deposit. What is minus is that the hostel doesn't provide a 24-hour reception service, but the staffs stand by until around 11 pm. I checked out myself and put the key at the reception desk since I had to chase my morning flight and let my deposit as the tips. Hehe..They're good and nice. Thanks, Bob! After all, you can see my ratings for this hostel.
