Ideal location ”
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the hotel, we had secure off street parking, great views of the city and Ross river. Friendly, helpful staff and ideal location with Hogs breath, the cinema, Mexican and Max Brenner conveniently located straight opposite. The only thing that would've been better is if the 3 bedroom apartment had more than 1 TV which is better with children.

the reception staff were very obliging, likewise the cleaning staff, since we asked both for favours. the location is good for the railway and the civic theatre, and walkable 910-15 minutes) for the rest of the city centre. nice stylish room, though the construction next door caused some dust and noise - probably temporary. look forward to staying there again. we enjoyed self-catering, and the kitchen was well equipped. would appreciate a carpet/mat in the main room - tile floor is hard on my feet.

Arriving late to Townsville after a 9 hour drive, it took us a further 1 1/2 hrs to find Holborn apartments (never been to townsville before) because it is a newer development it is not listed on GPS under 4 Kingsway Place as stated on website, after we finally found it I had a Cab driver pull up and ask if i knew where it was? The Lady in reception closed the counter as i was standing out front about to walk in, obviously end of her shift, and when i rang after hours number i was given a pin number to find my key in safe??? there are then 2 keypads at front of building when i asked which one to use she put me on hold?? i figured out how to work it and when operator came back of hold she said 'Are you sure your in townsville i said i had my key and she just hung up without saying anything. You then have to decipher where the underground parking is, you have to park in your allocated spot (not in any order) to get to room, floor in room sticky from spilt stuff on floor or poor clean up, A/C remotes don't work had to take batteries out of kids toy. TV remote does not work have to use controls on TV screen. Bed was not a king as requested, and had more springs in my back than Launch Zone (which is a must visit if you have kids in townsville). Day 1 take child for swim, nice pool, NON HEATED SPA, didn't see that on web. Pool and spa to cold to use. Free internet is only good for 2gb then slower than dial up. Overall didn't enjoy this place at all, if you are looking to get away and have a good holiday, spend the extra dollars and get something with some facilities to cater for the family, even if further out cause there is nothing around this place within walking distance with kids. And Enjoy the many Trains beeping and clunking right outside your window.

Nice modern apartment in Townsville”
We enjoyed staying in this hotel. The apartment was modern, bright and spacious. It had everything we needed: wifi, oven, washer, dryer, etc. The hotel had a huge covered garage, a swimming pool, a barbecue, etc... 2 complains: the knifes provided in the kitchen were all broken, and the apartment cleanliness was only average ( dusty corners or TV stand, dusty balcony). Still, we liked it a lot and we would go back. Be aware: the office closes at 5 pm so for late check-in you have to call some number to get a code to get your key.

A Fantastic Hotel”
This is a really lovely Hotel with a great pool on the 4th floor, if getting a room as for the 4th floor and all the amenities bare there, there is a great BBQ area as well on the same floor. Just up the road is a Stak House at a Hotel it was really great value.

adequate room, small but had all that l required.”
Hotel is a bit of a pleasant walk to the centre of town. No social facilities in hotel for eating, quick snacks, drinks etc. Lift broke down but was fixed quickly. Maintenance man started repair work on some broken tiles with a hammer at 7.45 am - bit early!! I checked in late but the staff made it very easy for me to collect keys and room requirements. Overall all, the room was just what l wanted but it would be so much better if there was something closer to grab a snack/brekky/drink.

Beautiful location”
We spent two nights here and it was great. Perfect size for three guests as we had two bathrooms. Pool wasn't heated so it was quite cold but great to freshen up. Great to have carpark included. Lady at reception very friendly and helpful. The only criticism I have is the cleanliness. Blanket in the wardrobe had a stain on it, wine glasses had red wine stains and tiles weren't very clean either. Top shelf had cockroach mess and blinds were dusty. If this area is worked on our stay would have been flawless.

Perfect place for couples to relax and recharge”
We really enjoyed the space, in room facilities, comfort of all rooms. We just wanted to relax and recharge after a chaotic Christmas and New Year and this was the perfect place to do it.

Adequate but not special”
It was adequate for our requirements, and functional in most ways. The reception staff were consistently excellent at resolving issues, but perhaps there should not be the issues? It is new, but not very new, so teething problems should not exist, but it is still new enough for deterioration not to have taken place. We were comfortable, but just. It is modern and minimalist, but clean and adequate.

It took us 2 hours to make the check-in, since the reception was closed and it wasn't indicated clearly (we had to call to a call center in order to get a code to open a box situated in the mail zone, where it was our key. When we enter in the room, it was unmaked. We called one more time and we had to wait until the manager appeared) Beautiful swimming-pool; there is BBQ zone and gym as well. Room (70B) was nice, but the only window looked out into a corridor. It is a little out of the CBD (about 20 min walking)

Fantastic Room, more like an apartment”
Wonderful room, which was really 3 rooms, great decor/furniture and every utensil you could possibly need. Wonderful view and great facilities such as washing machine, dryer and dish washer. Very clean and apart from a few early risers, very quiet.

Good facilties in developing location”
Stayed for a week and found the apartment to be quite comfortable. Free wifi was an appreciated 'bonus'. The building and surrounds are kept clean as well as the unit. A cinema complex & shops and another apartment complex are under construction adjacent to the apartment complex. Apartment came with dishwasher (really good) but the number of dishes/cutlery provided means that washing-up has to be done each night when (by providing more dishes for example) the dishwashing could have been delayed for another night.

For the Townsville V8 races”
OK. Very expensive because of location on the V8 weekend. The room needed more crockery and cutlery. There needs to be additional room supplies such as washing up soap and dishwasher soap available - even for sale - also spare rubbish bags etc. The beds were basic. Had to ask for blankets. The owners need to review the above level of amenities in the rooms. The staff were very accommodating and friendly.

Thewre is construction net door but this only affects you if you are there in the day time and even then it is not very loud. The complex is a new building so it is very clean and spacious and I cannot speak of it highly enough.
