Central location but lacks cleanliness”
The hotel is very well located right next to dizengoff square and the beach. Unfortunately our room wasn't particularly clean and the sheets had hair from previous customers. The male staff member wasn't particularly helpful when we asked for new sheets either. Breakfast is very basic, don't expect a lot of variety.

Small, uncomfortable room”
I don't know if we got the worst room or if the other rooms are better, but our room was very cramped. There were two narrow beds (more narrow than regular twins) and a tiny bathroom. The sink was much smaller than normal and I had to turn my head sideways to brush my teeth. The shower was small, but that would have been OK if the water hadn't gone in and out of hot water. I wasn't able to finish my shower as the water went very cold. I thought perhaps there wasn't any hot water, as it was in the evening. However, my traveling companion took her shower in the morning and said it was the same. There was a roll of toilet paper on the floor behind the toilet that had been saturated with water and left there. The room was noisy and we could hear people in the garden and we kept checking to see if the window was open because it sounded so clear and close (It was closed). We thought it couldn't get any worse until we turned the light out and realized that our window (which was opaque frosted glass) opened out in an lighted, interior hall corridor. The curtain was rather sheer and this let a large amount of ambient light into the room. We wondered why they had not installed a more light blocking window curtain. We stayed only one night and the next day found a hotel we liked better. I think this hotel might be OK for young travelers on a budget who want to be close to the beach and not stay in a hostel. I'm not sure of the hostel prices, but this was close to $100 a night for two people in a twin room. We are middle aged travelers and we just need normal twin-sized beds, an adequate shower, and a cleaner and quieter room.

Perfect location”
Location, staff, plenty of towels
If you're looking for a clean place to sleep in a safe are Central Hotel has it. The rooms are big and you have basic comfort but compared to the prices in the area this is the best deal. Staff was always helpful. The beach is in walking distance and you have plenty of restaurants to dine in.

Yank From Germany”
Desk personnel, Coffee, Location
They are a clean 3 star hotel and don't pretend to be anything else. My stay was fine. My room was fine. The Staff was fine. The guests were fine. The coffee was super fine. The location was more than fine. The post office was a block away. The Embassy was a block away. Good food all around. Personally i felt very safe too. Tip: unless you are a heavy party person/sleeper do not stay in rooms 117 or 118, the rooms are really nice and clean but they are above the street and LOUD sounds do happen all night long.

Affordable convenience”
Location, Value for Money, Fast Wifi
I had no real problems here. The room was very small, but the 3 min. walk to the beach is what I was paying for. Every other hotel in the area was significantly more expensive or booked out (I booked at least 5 days in advance!). The staff was very helpful, air conditioning worked fine. The toilet had a small waterflow problem that was easily corrected, and the nice, large flatscreen TV is not located in a place easily watched--you have to sit on the bed sideways to look directly at it. There is no desk for a computer or writing. If you are in the front room (#110), you can hear things in the reception, although the hotel was always quiet after 11pm and before 7~8am.

A box room”
the location turned out to be nice, very near the seafront and cafes. The internet connection was for free and quite fast, and the room was reasonably clean.
The room was so small that I couldn't fit my suitcase on the floor. The toilet seat was an arm's length from my bed, the room was windowless, except for a hatch that was open to the patio, where the dining area was, so I could hear them and they me when I used the toilet! the room was noisy as it was also at the bottom of the stairs and all the comings and goings woke me up several times throughout the night. The entrance was shambolic, and the patio/dinning area was neglected. The breakfast was something thrown together and served on the patio which was cold in January. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

so-so hotel”
Good location, good location and good location
The location of central hotel deserves its name. It is a minute walk to the harbour. Also, there are many restaurants close to the hotel. But its single room is terribly small. It really accomdates one guest. You cannot bring your friend to your room. Is it a typical size of Tel Avis? I dunno. Also, some staff are quite nice but one guy in the morning duty is not so kind. He seems to lose patience if I don't listen to him attentively or ask him again. Maybe he does not know the phase` Customers are always right!'
