Definite bang for the buck”
We were pleasantly surprised with this place. We had to leave Tokyo for Kyoto a day early to avoid Typhoon Hagibis. We easily booked a room the day of. We reserved 4 bunk beds thinking we would get our own private room; however, it was a shared space with many bunk beds. It was safe and we had our private corner. We kept our luggage in the lobby and the staff looked over it. Centurion also has an artificial hot spring, we went early in the morning around 3-5am and had the entire bath to ourselves. Showers are only in the spa area located on the 2nd floor. If you don’t mind very basic living and getting out of your comfort zone, then this is the perfect place with the best price. The staff was very nice and the location was perfect. It was within walking distance to both Nishiki Market and Teramachi shopping arcade. This was the perfect location, right in the middle of all the big shopping stores: Louis Vuitton, etc.

Amazing Hotel, a little bit too expensive for a Cabin place tho.”
I loved my stay at Centurion. The staff was really helpful, the facilities were impeccable. Everything was super modern and clean, and the whole place was spotless. The spa/sauna is on a class of its own, worth a visit every night. Location is also great, very close to lots of restaurants, Kyoto's famous market, and to the subway station/bus stops. The only thing I didn't like was Centurion's price for a cabin hotel. There's other cabin hotels in Tokyo and Kyoto that are literally half the price and offer almost the same thing, so 100$ a night per person is kinda expensive for the lack of privacy/cabin. I also think the lights on the hallway should be dimmed down at night, because when you wake up at 4am to go to the washroom and everything is cranked up to the maximum is really not a pleasant thing, totally disrupts your sleep. With that being said, I would only stay at Centurion again if I got a deal for a better price.

Clean, comfortable, and in a great location”
Centurion Cabin & Spa is the best capsule hotel I've ever stayed at without a doubt. The rooms were clean and well-organized, the common areas were well laid out, and their hot spring, while a bit cramped, was relaxing (and tattoo-friendly!). The location is phenomenal. It's a short walk from a nearby subway station and a few steps from a major bus stop. I was able to find a bus to every place I wanted to visit from here. To top it all off, it's also a short walk from the famous Gion district. If I'm ever back in Kyoto, I'll be staying here again.

Great for the experience”
If you have ever wanted to try the "capsule/cabin" trend in Japan, this is the place to try it! No other cabin hotels have a hot spring, and free for use. It's really hot and very nice to soak in after a long day walking in Kyoto. Location very good, on the shopping street and convenience store a few steps away. The cabin is big enough, i can roll once and being Asian, i'm not too tall too so i still have about 1/3 of the length available. Comes with a multi-purpose wire for charging items, and a tv right in front (but only jap channels). Starting was a little warm but it got cold over time and the comfy blanket was nice to curl up in. My only grip is the inconvenience of having to leave my big luggage at the lobby, going up and down, packing and unpacking infront of every guests who check in and out. And also having to go to the basement to shower when i stay at the 7th floor. Price wise - i could get a hotel room with the same price with my own private bathroom and comfy big bed... so it's a little pricey for a cabin room. But it was an experience that i wanted to do and am satisfied with it. Try it out for 1 or 2 days!

Very good but COUPLES BE CAREFUL!”
We really loved our 3 days stay at the Centurion Cabin and Spa Kyoto. Clean, welcoming, with style, close to Gion, the spa isn't huge but is more than ok, they can keep our luggage before and after our stay, kimonos are at our disposal for going to the baths. However, we thought we booked a room with double bed for two people. But THEY DON'T HAVE DOUBLE BEDS. The reservation was "for one person, capsule two people type". What they mean is you get a capsule on top or under another one, not that you get both. So in the end we had to book a second capsule so both of us could stay. Read well! Despite this disappointement are our arrival, everything went prefectly! Don't hesitate.

Good location, small space”
First time experience at Cabin style Hotel. The cabin itself is alright, just for a night of sleep. If going to shower- need to go down to B1 floor, which is a little inconvenient as you need to bring your stuff to another floor. After entering the shower area, the shower area itself is small and the door only consist of half shade. Means others can see your whole legs moving around. If you're concern of privacy, better get a proper hotel. The hot spring spa of Centurion is quite small, only can fit 4 pax in the pool. The pros of this stay is great location- close to eateries, bus stop/train, and cabins are clean!

A Good Business Cabin Hotel at Business Area in Kyoto ”
I stay at this hotel for 2 nights: Apr 25-27, and found that it's a new business hotel that is just opened on Apr 21! How lucky I am! So, I think my review can help people whines looking for business hotel in good location can make good decision for here in Kyoto. A) How to go From Kyoto Station, you have to take local subway "Kurasuma Line for KOKUSAIKAIKAN" to Shijo Station, don't worry it the next station to Kyoto Local Subway Station; only 4 mins to arrive there. Then, jump out of the station at exit near Hankyu Line (sorry for my Alzheimer that cannot remember exit no.) and then turn right. Hotel is very near to station for 3-5 mins walk. It's located opposite to Daimaru Department Store. I guarantee it's very easy to find out. B) Location Hotel is located at very good location of Business Area. There are big department store, luxury shop such as LV and shopping street "Teramachi". If you're shopaholic, you'll love this hotel location ^_^ Furthermore, this hotel is surrounded by many restaurants both reasonable and luxury, also convenience store for light snack and drink. You'll love it! C) Hotel Itself This hotel is 6 floors Cabin Hotel with connected bunk bed. The floor I stay (4th floor) has 2 separated area; locker and restroom area and sleeping area. Hotel provides you private locker that is same number as your cabin room with private code to open and lock your locker. You can keep your belongings here, however locker is quite small and cannot contain big luggage! You have to take it with you into sleeping area and place it in front of your cabin room (as I did). Hotel has no policy for luggage deposit at reception zone. You have to take it with yourself. Next for sleeping area, design is so great with Japanese Style. However, cause it's cabin room, so you have to stay with other people on the floor. I'm not sure whether they provide private room, please check in their website. Furthermore, cabin is not sound proof, so you may hear snoring sound or ch

Perfect for budget travelers.”
Very clean. Cabin was comfortable. Hallway was too small/narrow and it was crowded (probably because we were there in early April, the busiest cherry blossom season). Wish there's more than one elevator... Overall, great deal for the price, I'd use it again and would recommend Centurion Cabin & Spa.

Excellent”
Other than the slightly hot capsule cabin (I had to open the sliding door a bit to allow air in), I have no other complaints. The spa was nice. The rooms were clean. The hotel was only a few minutes walk from the busiest part of the city. The cost for staying a night was so cheap that it's similar to a having meal. I believe this is the best hotel deal you could ever find in Kyoto.

Comfortable and cozy stay”
Comfortable sleeping capsule, clean facilities, and it is really nice to have a sauna and hot spring to soak in at night before bed. My only complaint is that the breakfast could be better with more healthy options away from the standard white bread, sugar cereals and sausage. The hard boiled eggs were over cooked and the broccoli was soggy. Skip breakfast at Centurion and go to one of the many coffee shops around town. Sentido is a good option and a nice 10 minute walk from the hotel.

Worth it!”
The spa is nice and there is a button for massage. Relaxing. No shower room, u need to take spa. Male and female are separated no worries. Lower floor provide hot drinking water, for other beverage u require pay for 300yen for free flow drinks in ur whole stay at their cabin. Yukata is available for rent 200yen and return when u check out. The location is nice near bus stop and subway station. Besides the cheap restaurant near this cabin with only 2 shop lot named "吉野家" the foods are nice, as a daily meal of Japanese.

Unique cabin experience in central location with great bath facilities”
Unique cabin travel experience was unlike any other hotel I've stayed in. It is certainly an interesting, very Japanese approach to a minimalist overnight stay. The cabin was sufficient for one person for a night. Two potential downsides 1) Lockers are big enough for small items only -- luggage must be left outside cabin door or tagged in lobby., and 2) Other travelers making noise / talking until late at night can be heard easily even when wearing ear plugs. Other than that, I am very happy with my stay and would recommend the experience to a friend. The location really can't be beat, and is much more affordable than a traditional hotel. The biggest unexpected surprise was the luxurious public baths in the basement. Traditional Japanese style, separated Men's / Women's sections, with lockers and dressing area well-stocked with amenities, and clean shower area with jacuzzi hot and cold tubs, as well as dry sauna. Bathing facilities were well-decorated and kept very clean... far exceeded expectations for shower facilities for a cabin style hotel.

Very very recommended”
At first i was hesitated to book this hotel, but when i arrived the hotel was really good, located right in the heart of tokyo with many restaurant and minimart nearby (ippudo ramen is just 7 mins of walk). It was way beyond my expectation compareto the price i paid. Room is comfy and big enough for our 3 large luggages and 2 cabin size one. Onsen was clean and good too. Internet was super fast and staffs speaks fluent english language. Totally satisfied with this hotel, will be back if i visit kyoto again.

Charming hostel in middle of city”
Love Centurion! This lovely hostel is super convenient, within 5 mins walk to Karamusu and Shijo stations. Gion and Pontocho are a short 12-17 minute walk away and the staff is very sweet. The showers take a bit getting used to, think Korean Spa where there is a communal space for public bath (with jacuzzi jets) and a little sauna. Everything has English attached to it so even being someone who speaks no Japanese, I was able to get around comfortably. Spa also comes equipped with the usual amenities like towels, tooth brush, even a brush/comb set. You have lockers for your stuff up front, including shoes although most leave their suitcase beside their capsule. Very private and safe, and all the travelers I’ve met have been lovely.

Really really wonderful”
Located in the downtown, it’s very convenient to have a walk trip in the temple at its east. Besides across the road there is a shopping street full of shops selling different varieties of good, such matcha cosmetics and sushi etc. staffs in the front desk are really friendly and they were really patient when I was enquiring something about the places where I could have a trip and eat. It’s out of my expectation that the hot spring is really comfortable which helped me with a good sleep. So next time when I revisit Kyoto I will be back

Best budget hotel right across Nishiki Market”
We booked their Family Room upon arrival at Kyoto. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a cheap but comfy place to stay in Kyoto. It's along Kyoto's main street right across the street from Nishiki Market. Family room had a small but really clean bathroom, with the room set up capsule style. The basement houses the sento -- again small but clean. The baths do get crowded in the peak hours, so be sure to come late at night unless you want to line up in your birthday suit for the showers. The hot tub is small -- can handle about 5 people at a time, there's a cold bath beside it, and a dry sauna. For a cheap breakfast or late night dinners, be sure to check out the Sukiya next door. Overall, a really clean budget hotel and you definitely get way more than you pay for.

Excellent for those who are planning to explore Kyoto with limited time”
Location is superb, near to bus station and subway hankyu station line (karasuma). The room is excellent - clean, spacious, Japanese feel and has a TV Inside the cabin (we booked 6 private cabin room). Bathroom is nice with toiletries provided. Breakfast is included either English breakfast or Japanese breakfast. This place is close to everything, mall, coffee shops, 24/7 shops, street markets!!! and major Kyoto major attractions.
