Akasaka is the most central to a lot of the big areas in central Tokyo. This was a great hotel to stay in. My room was roomy, cozy and had everything i needed. I have to review the spa as well because it is a part of the hotel. The only surprising thing was that the (men’s only, which is already odd) spa/bath/sauna was a completely separate business and is NOT included in your hotel booking. Guests do however, receive a discounted entrance fee, while public visitors who are not staying at the hotel need to pay full price. The spa itself was ok (water was a bit too hot than most baths/sentos i have experienced and there were two cold plunge tubs, which could have been fine with just one!). Sauna was big and nice. Cleansing stations were stand up stalls vs. sit-down. After my bath, i went to rest in the sleeping room that had multiple lounge chairs and my first night, the old man spa worker abruptly woke me up and kicked me out after napping for an hour! That was a bit odd as he didn’t wake anyone else up. The second night, he left me alone thankfully. I would recommend this hotel overall but please be mindful of the spa situation before committing. There is NO spa for women here.
Thank you for your thoughtful review and for choosing to stay with us. We’re pleased to hear that you enjoyed our central location in Akasaka and found your room comfortable and well equipped. We hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you again on your next visit to Tokyo. Centurion Hotel Grand Akasaka
The location is very good, about a 3–5 minute walk to the train station, which makes it very convenient. However, the room feels very old and not very clean, especially the carpet and the sofa. I tried lying down on the sofa and my back started to feel itchy, which made me uncomfortable. We didn’t really have a choice but to stay since we had already booked two nights and the reservation was non-refundable. In total, we actually stayed here for four nights. The first booking was for one night for two people, then we booked another stay for two nights in a bigger room because the photos looked nice. During our 15-day stay in Japan, the hotels we booked were generally good, except for this one. I would suggest renovating the rooms, as they already look quite old and could really use improvement. The location is great, but the room condition and cleanliness need attention.
Thank you for your feedback and for staying with us. We’re pleased to hear that you found our location convenient. At the same time, we sincerely apologize that the condition and cleanliness of the room did not meet your expectations. Your comments have been shared with our team as we continue working to improve our facilities and overall guest experience. We truly appreciate your valuable feedback. Centurion Hotel Grand Akasaka
I stayed at 3 different hotels during my stay in Tokyo, one in Shibuya & one in Shinjuku. To my surprise, Akasaka was my favorite! The distance from the train station, and being central to everything made it so convenient to explore Tokyo. The rooms were very spacious and clean! My roommates and I loved it. I’ve already recommended it to others who visited towards the end of my trip and they booked this past weekend at Centurion as well. Breakfast was good, and the chef was very warm and friendly to us every time we walked in and out of the building. It was a very welcoming stay, and I would definitely come back on my next trip!
Thank you very much for staying with us. We are also very pleased to read that you enjoyed your stay in Akasaka, even among the many hotels available. We are also very grateful for your compliments on the location, the spaciousness and cleanliness of the room, as well as the breakfast and staff service. We would also like to thank you for recommending our hotel to your friends. All of our staff look forward to welcoming you again when you visit Tokyo. Centurion Hotel Grand Akasaka
The location is good. During my trip to Tokyo, I have often used the Akasaka Mitsuke station as a place to stay, but this time I booked this accommodation for the first time. For three people, I reserved it for four nights at around 950,000 won, and the location is really great. It's a 3-minute walk from exit 10 of Akasaka Mitsuke. There are many convenience stores nearby. The Don Quijote is really small, so I didn't go there, but there is a 24-hour pharmacy just a 2-minute walk away. It has a lot of products, is cheap, has self-checkouts, and the staff is friendly. So, I only went there instead of Don Quijote. There were quite a few products out of stock at Don Quijote. The accommodation is not a good value compared to the price. Even considering it's Japan, this place was quite pricey compared to other accommodations I've stayed at, yet it was cramped. Additionally, it was humid. There was one unfriendly staff member among them. Also, the main building and the annex are separated. If you are looking for a place with a good location, I would recommend it, but otherwise, I wouldn't want to recommend it much.

“The location is excellent. The accommodation condition is good as well.”
I was worried about the varied reviews for this Tokyo trip accommodation, but the location was really excellent for the entire stay of 4 nights and 5 days. The Akasaka Mitsuke Station, just one minute on foot, made it very convenient to visit Shinjuku and Shibuya, and there were two other subway stations within a ten-minute walk, making it easy to get around Tokyo. I was concerned about the mixed reviews regarding the accommodation, but there was no odor at all, and although the room was initially assigned for a family of four (with middle school children), it was calculated for adults, so they added two single beds instead of a table and sofa, which made it a bit cramped, but the bathroom was as clean as new, there was no smell or noise, and the bedding was tidied up daily, which I appreciated. I regretted that the single beds were foldable sofas that took up space. I was too busy moving around to ask for a change. However, the coat hanger was just a movable coat rack for hanging clothes, which was inconvenient, and there was no place to organize clothes in the large room, so the bulky winter clothes were a bit messy. I deducted one star for this. The breakfast was the same menu every day (grilled salmon, fish cake soup, bread, miso soup, rice, salad with 9 types, several side dishes, seaweed, coffee, milk, juice). It was simple but tasty, and the chef was very friendly. Many reviews mentioned being surprised by the vintage building across from the main building for checking into the annex room, but when I entered, the disorganized first-floor restaurant was visible and slightly chaotic. The main building had coin laundry, a dryer, and a men's bathhouse that you had to pay to enter, but I didn't use it. I stayed on the 6th floor, and the vintage black wallpaper in the hallway gave it a motel-like feel. However, the room was clean and white. I didn't take any pictures of the accommodation, but there were plenty of enjoyable places within walking distance, which was great. Most shops are available from the station (Big Camera, 24-hour pharmacy, five convenience stores, Don Quijote, and Picasso). There are also many restaurants. Within an hour’s walk, you can see Tokyo Tower, Mori Art Museum, Roppongi, National Museum of Modern Art, 2121 Design Museum, TBS, Harry Potter Cafe, etc., and it’s a great distance to stroll around, exploring and walking, taking about fifteen to twenty-minute intervals. There are many good restaurants near the accommodation, and it’s quite a lively area. For car enthusiasts, there’s a used supercar dealership called Bingo Sports nearby to check out. Overall, I was very satisfied with the transportation from the accommodation. I asked if we had to pay for the cups and plates broken by the kids, and I was grateful they said it was alright. It’s a four-star rating, but my score is 4.7.
