The Staff Makes the Stay”
Without a doubt, the reason I continue to stay at Century Park Hotel on my many travels to Manila is the staff. They amaze me how they can recognize me between trips and call me by name. Everyone from the Front Desk, the cashier, the managers, the restaurant, security, room attendants, know my name and greet me warmly on every encounter. Beyond that, the hotel is conveniently and centrally located. It is situated adjacent to Harrison Plaza shopping mall (old and antiquated, but can meet a traveler's needs...it has a department store, pharmacy, banks, massage, grocery, and other services). Hotel rooms are a bit worn, but the management is gradually making improvements. The common areas are well maintained and attractive. Nonetheless, the rooms are adequate, clean, and spacious, albeit not comparable to a Marriott or Hilton, although the hotel markets itself in the same category. The negatives: service continues to be sub-standard in the Atrium Lounge, taxis are often difficult to obtain, and there is an absence of seating in both the upper and lower lobbies so that if you are meeting guests, they have no place to sit while awaiting you to come down or if you are being picked up by a friend, there is no place for you to sit while awaiting the arrival or your ride. Nothing insurmountable. I have stayed at multiple hotels in Manila over 20 years and I wouldn't stay anywhere other than Century Park and I have been loyal to them for at least the past 12 years because they have been loyal to me.
Our stay at the Century Park Hotel in Manila was both satisfing and relaxing. The airport shuttle service was prompt, courteous and friendly. Our driver, Jojo, was exceedingly helpful, and we felt safe and secure in his company. He even arranged to pick us up at 3am in order to catch our flight the following morning. This was not his normal schedule. The reception at the hotel was very professional, accurate and extremely friendly. Room service was prompt, accurate and exceeded our expectations. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling through Manila.
Century is Aging !”
I made a canvass before choosing my hotel for a week end stay over in Manila for a business meeting. Agoda offered Century Park Hotel for the lowest rate among the so called de luxe and luxury hotels. The price quoted was so affordable, so i grant the opportunity to book it , at the same time, it was my first stay at the said hotel. The hotel looked aging from a distance and upon checking in at the front desk, it was obvious that it needs repair and refurbishment. Check in was very easy and smooth. The front serviceman was warm. The elevator was dated but was still functional. My choice of de luxe room surprised me. The entire floor where my room was located was renovated and refurbished : new carpet on the hallway, new door on every rooms. The room was big enough and it looks modern and up to date. The bathroom was glass encased just like Manila Marriott. I love the bathroom lay out, modern and pleasing to use. It has a separate rainshower and a bath tub. Amenities were basic though. If this amenities were upgraded, it will give a run of their money for the other so called "known" 5 star hotels. So far the bathroom exceeded my expectation. The king size bed was of good quality as well as the room lighting.Over all, it was indeed a value for money. I will recommend it to other travellers as long as you choose the new de luxe rooms.
Hervorragendes Hotel in guter Lage”
I was very happy with my stay at Century Park Hotel. I was there for 3 nights. The staff was very helpful with smiling faces. My room was clean and very comfortable. There was a lot to eat for breakfast for everyone. And near by was Mall of Asia. The wifi was ok but it can be a little bit better. I understand that it is an older hotel and there is always room for improvement. Overall, I am very happy with my stay at Century Park Hotel. I highly recommend this hotel and I will stay here again. Thanks Century Park Hotel.
One of the best hotels i've ever stayed in!”
Cannot rave more about our stay at Century Park. We were treated like kings. Arrived and upgraded to a deluxe room and given welcome drinks. Every member of staff were super friendly 100% of the time. We loved the hotel so much we returned on our final leg of our trip and booked a deluxe room which i would recommend to spend that little bit more on. We were allowed late check outs and also understood in extending our stay after hours of needing to. Definitely staying here again when i come back to Manila. Make sure you speak to Derek in the lounge bar - he's worked at the hotel for more than 30 years and a real character!
Absolutely would stay again!”
My fiancee and I enjoyed our stay at Century Park. The staff, security, room, and entire atmosphere was great. We were right next to Harrison Plaza which had all the things you could need.We were only a walk or jeepney ride away from everywhere. If you prefer taxi there was always a taxi available or the guard would get you one in no time.I read in our searches for a hotel to stay at that it was hard to find hot water. Not here, hot water was hot as soon as you turned it on.If you're going for business they even have a helipad with copter to fly you around the city of Manila. It was truly a wonderful time and I would highly recommend this hotel for your stay in Manila.
Enjoyable 10 day stay”
My wife and I stayed for 10 days at the Century Park Hotel. We have stayed here before and decided to avail the Classic Superior room. These rooms are a little dated compared to the New Deluxe rooms and we deliberately based our decision on price. Agoda's advance rate was £49 per night, roughly P3,300. This included tax, service charge and breakfast for 2. To avail the best rate direct from the Hotel, you are looking at P7,000 give or take, and even using the Century's privilege card you can't get the price lower than Agoda. However, we did avail the privilege card as well (cP7,000), because it included one nights stay in a delux room, additional complimentary breakfast for 2, additional complementary evening meal for 2, free upgrade for one night to the next available room type, free swimming tickets for my nephews and neices.... Plus one years discount on food and drinks. The best offer being 2 persons dining at 50% discount! This will save P1,300 per time for any couple availing the lunch or evening meal buffet. The rooms were clean, comfortable and the housekeeping staff efficient. The public parts of the hotel are of a very good standard. In the palm grove pool area there is ample sun loungers, free towels and changing room, a pool set out for swimming in lanes, a pool for recreational use (from shallow up to 10 foot deep) and a hot tub. There is often a caberet singer in the "top of the century" bar, and a pianist or quartet in the "atrium lounge". The beer is slightly pricey compared to the local bars (a P40 colt costs P150) but if you avail the welcome drinks and catch them on the 3 for 2 drinks promo you can get 5 strong beers for a little over £4 which is fair enough. Of course, the level of service, entertainment and the overall atmosphere all comes at a price. I have stayed here once a year since 2011 and will continue rebook.
Enjoyable and Hospitable”
the hotel is conveniently located next to harrison plaza shopping mall and less than 5 minutes from the nightlife area in malate. it is strategically positioned to travel in multiple directions to various areas of metro manila. i have never encountered a more friendly and hospitable staff than at century park. the common areas (e.g. lobby lounge) are spacious and grand and give a very calming feeling. the rooms, however, have seen better days, but are still serviceable. considering the age of the property and the worn rooms, the daily rate is probably pushing the upper limits.
Good old ”
We really enjoyed our stay at Century Park Hotel. Our room had 2 king sized beds which provided good sleeping space for the four of us. The bathroom was spacious with clean bathtub and abundant hot and cold water. Our kids enjoyed the swimming pool while we shopped at the Harrison Plaza which was a stone's throw away. Breakfast was also delicious and sumptuous. However, if you should buy breakfast because it is included in your amenities, be prepared to pay almost a thousand pesos per head. If I would have to make a suggestion, it should be that the ref in the room must be stocked.
One of the best stays I've had, A+”
Extremely friendly and helpful staff, The rooms are clean and very beautifully designed, The location is very strategic to travelling around Manila. We booked this hotel with the promo for the free upgrade to Deluxe, but before hand reading previous year reviews suggested me to call and ahead and confirm my booking as I've checked before and there was one that mentioned the hotel not being able to confirm the booking. Arriving at the hotel we were welcomed with warm staff, but had to wait for a couple of hours for a room to be open on a Non-smoking floor. We decided to wait at their lounge (which has very comfy chairs by the way), once we arrived into the room, it exceeded my expectations from reviews I've initially read about the place, everything was clean, well maintained, the TV is fairly new, albeit the selection of channels were not as broad, there were still good things to watch. The bathroom was very nicely maintained, clean throughout and very comfortable. Overall I loved the stay and would come back in the near future whenever I'm in Manila.
Pleasant stay at Century Park hotel Manila”
Century park hotel is by far the best hotel i would love to come back even tho the hotel staff is not very helpful, But overall hotel is very clean, near to food and shopping mall, not to many beggars around comparing to other 5 star hotel around the city. Hotel room is excellent. Clean room, good tv channels, clean toilet, one would not expected to have. Taxi's in the hotel are a bit expensive. Be careful and always ask for metered taxi's.
Our daughter gave us this gift of staying overnight in Century Park Hotel Manila to get a glimpse of Pope Francis during His visit in PH. I must say that they really provide great service. Starting from their fast email replies during my inquiries to our checking-in, our stay, breakfast and our check-out. It really is good value for money.
Perfect for value of money”
This was my first time to stay in this hotel as I was expecting to be pricy. I was surprised that it's just same as other hotels, but Century Park Hotel has very good value of money. Staff are very helpful..they will assist you even in small things. Rooms are clean, spacious and modern, I think newly renovated. It would be easy as well to find parking for your vehicle. I would definitely go back and stay in this hotel, it was a nice experience.
The hotel was as expected for the price payed”
We had a good stay at Century Park Hotel, the 2 rooms we had was of a good standard and was clean. The food was good but a little expensive when eating at the hotel 2-3 times a day, the only disappointment war the bars, the cellar bar don't have a good standard and their facilities is not in the same standard as the rest of the hotel, but at least the prices in this bar was ok, the bar on the 17th floor had been closed since 31 of march, so I don't know if they will start up a new bar there, the bar/coffe house in the lobby/lounge area is of high quality and nice place to stay, but it was also very expensive, 1 coffe+ 1 local beer was 400 pesos together. Overall I liked my stay in century park hotel, I normally choose a cheaper kind of hotel since I normally stays long time (approx. 4-5 weeks) on vacation when I am in Philippines, and therefor like it a little cheaper since these hotels are too expensive to stay long in, especially since dinning there was expensive too.
World Class hotel for a great price”
I have stayed at the Century Park many times and I love it. Simply put, it is in my opinion the finest hotel in the Manila area for the price. I feel very good about bringing people here for meetings, dining and entertainment as well. A classic style grand lobby has a very definate "wow" effect.
Good Hotel with friendly staff and good location”
i viewed all manila hotels on agoda and there was a special for the century park which i had stayed at before. non smoking room was good standard and clean.had buffet lunch which was very good and breakfast next morning also nice. the century park is in a good location for downtown malate shopping/siteseeing/nightlife and generally has good access other than when the manila traffic jams are bad.
Nice hotel, great rooms.”
Enoyed my stay at Century Park Hotel Manila as usual. The hotel is easy to reach from the airport (only 20 min). Beside the hotel is a shopping mall (Harrison Mall) and some restaurants. Even Robinson Mall Ermita or Mall of Asia are reachable with taxi in about 10-15 min. Will definetely stay there again on my next visit to Manila.
Great Hotel in good location”
have been staying at century park hotel manila several times already and we were satisfied every single stay. the hotel is in good location (beside a shopping mall) and all other points in manila are easily reachable.
Another trip to the Century Park Hotel”
As usual, I stayed at the Century Park Hotel while I took care of appointments that I had along Roxas Blvd. I had some problems with transportation to Manila and called up the hotel to let them know that I would be arriving late and they said no problem. I arrived a little after 9:00 pm. and it was easy and quick to check in the registration desk was very friendly and helpful. I was starving and called up room service to get some thing to eat at the Seafood Restaurant, but because it was five minutes to 10pm they wouldn't take the order so I came downstairs in the lobby to get something to eat. There was a buffet that was going on, but I ordered a medium-rare steak and it came "medium' which the waitressed took back and replaced. I thought the steak was on the small side but it was good as was the soup that I ordered. After eating, I went to up to my room and noticed that the TV wasn't working, so I called up Room Service. After awhile they had not come up to check and they called up and asked if it was okay to come up after this time and I said okay. I waited after awhile and called up room service again and told them to not come up as I was going to sleep. When I got up in the morning I called room service again about the TV and the person seemed surprised and sent somebody up, who fixed the problem quickly. Maybe when I ordered the food the staff were trying to hurry-up and clean-up after the buffet...they did seem to be busy. I can understand that. By previous experiences here, have always been excellent. Usually friendly and very helpful staff, not so much this time maybe because it was running late. Yes, I would come back here again.
