Stayed here on a business purpose. Generally, my friend and I had a good experience. Firstly, checking in was a breeze. We did wait for like 15 minutes to get our room ready but I guess that waiting time was still tolerable. The room was apparently clean. But a few things like tissue roll and slippers were missing. Special shout out to the room staff. They readily prepared the things we requested and delivered it right away. I did appreciate their fast response. As for food/breakfast, it was totally enjoyable and satisfying. The dishes served were to my liking and I commend again the very attentive food attendants. I would only comment on the space of the dining. I think it would be helpful if they get to expand the area since the place got really crowded during breakfast. I would definitely recommend this hotel to my friends. And I will also consider staying here again the next time.
Big Hotel ”
The hotel is nice, room is spacious and bed was very comfortable except that the bathroom is a bit old, but it wasnt that bad or dirty. Just the fixtures, they were old. The location was good, easy to call a Grab or Taxi. The breakfast is also good.
Go executive suite, absolutely wonderful”
This is a fantastic place for every reason We booked the executive suite and was amazed that it comes with all day and evening free drinks and snacks The staff are marvelous and incredibly attentive and friendly. We spent a lot of time in the almost empty pools Of course, as we found out, there's zeeo reason to go to Manila, but that's not the hotels fault
This has been my go to hotel since the 90's . My kids grew up in this hotel because of their Outstanding services , great buffet and definitely locations and accessibility (airport, shopping mall for food and souvenirs and morning jog at Cultural Center Complex-formerly known as PICC). We stayed at Classic Superior room this time and though its clean, I believe that its time for a major renovation of the bathroom (mold and clogged drain) as in comparison with New Deluxe Room and Club Room. Old and enjoyable place to stay. We'll be back.
Good hotel - excellent staff”
A good hotel with restaurants, lounge/bar area and great and service-minded staff. Location is Ok. Only one thing, internet might be slow at "rush-hours" when many guests/people connect at the same time.
"Charming Old Hotel"”
We had a pleasant stay at the hotel. The only problem is that the parking area for guests cars is quite limited, you have to park your car at the mall parking area across. Another thing is the bathroom, it badly needs refurbishment...its too outdated.
Just neighbor where we do our training in Phil😁Team Taekwondo🇵🇭. Everything needed is in this hotel. Near transpo too! Food around . Shop till u drop😁. Very accomodating staffs. We even given a late check out since training is at 5 pm😊. We always comback! Very secured hotel. Polite employees.
Nice hotel centrally located”
Very nice lobby with a lounge area and three restaurants to choose from. Reception desk is on the second floor and check in was easy. Asked for one large bed and the receptionist acknowledged but when I go to the room it was two single beds, was too tired to go down and redo the check in process. The room I stayed in was large and comfortable, shower was hot and good water pressure. Location was right across from a mall called Harrison Plaza & SM Department store. The hotels has their own deli & bakery and even a liquor store. It was a pleasant stay and would recommend this hotel for their location.
The room was neat. The elevator was always fast. The staff were always greeting me. The only thing is that they need to put better and different menus at the breakfast buffet. We stayed for 5 nights and they had fish fillet in all the breakfast buffets. We also had to ask for coffee or hot chocolate several times although when my husband complained already on our last day, they were kind enough to offer late check-out and gave us apple, banana & orange.
Great Value for Money”
This is one of the oldest 5-star hotel in Manila. From the outside, the age of the building is evident, but your perspective might change the moment you step in. Everything is neat, tidy and in order. Staffs are excellent. The welcome drinks at the bar was a great way to receive guests. The room and the bed were good. Toilet was clean. Too bad I didn't had the time to dip into the pool. Hanging out at the bar at night was great. You could order a bucket of beers and just waste time. Breakfast selections weren't that wide, but would have most of what you need in a morning meal. Overall, a good and pleasant stay. I would definitely be coming back.
Home away from home”
My stay was only 2 nights but it's enough to want me to return, the rooms we're acceptable, I just don't like shower/bath combo, I was on 18 floor so view was great. The internet was pretty bad , I used pocket wifi instead, bcz connection was non existent or very slow. Nice area on ground floor, good for sitting around drinking coffee while listening to live music
Best value for nice hotel in Manila ”
Great hotel. Staff is amazing. I checked in early and wasn't expecting a room until Check in time. Clerk still offered me free drinks in bar until room was available. Entire staff goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome. Rooms are 5 star quality.
Great old hotel”
This hotel is venerable. It is really nice to stay. A good brunch daily. The lower lobby area has a huge old chandelier, and access to a mall. There is a Philippines air office in the building. there are 3 restaurants. The hotel has a lap pool, a swimming pool and a small jacussi type pool. This hotel is a home away from home.
Good hotel and great staff”
Good: Great staff, breakfast, reception, restaurant, atrium, swimmingpool, location and Harrison Plaza (shopping) across the street. Not good: Internet capacity and speed. It's still a disaster, very sad.
This is a good holiday. Old amenities but still working and clean room. Although the down side is, balconies can NEVER be opened, so if your a smoker, make sure to request for a smoking floor. Nice pool area. one pool that reaches up to 10 ft, a lap pool that is 5 ft and a working jacuzzi. Breakfast is so-so, they weren't able to keep up with the influx of guest on the christmas breakfast, food runs out fast.
Very nice hotel”
Century is a very nice hotel. I stayed here with my parents. The room is huge and well-kept. Complete amenities, although we weren't able to use that. The buffet breakfast is super yummy, they've got a lot of food to choose from.
Well maintained ”
We had a gooood night sleep for a staycation over the weekend. Too bad it was just for one night as the price was a little expensive for my budget. The hotel was well maintained. Problem I had was their food. It was so so. We tried their themed buffet lunch. It was my first time to not enjoy an eat-all-you-can buffet. Better go for the Chinese restaurant.
The hotel is nice and the personells are nice and helpfull but the seafood restaurant served us something that had a bad smell which ruined our stay due to stocmach problems. Very very bad. Will never use that restaurant again. Never!
I wasn't expecting too much because this hotel is already old, which is also obvious from the outer look of its building. However, I was impressed on how the room (we're at the 11/F) is comparable to the newer ones we've been to and obviously upgraded their interior to cope up with the modern times. The room has big, enough space to move around and for my 7-yr old niece to run around, has ample closet and drawer spaces so stuff aren't cluttered, and I love how fresh their linens smell. All the basics you'll need for your stay are available. We find their dinner buffet ordinary, but their breakfast is so much better, with a lot options. It's conveniently located in front of a mall so buying stuff/emergency items won't be a problem. Just don’t expect the mall to be on the high-end side as Harrison Plaza is also an old building. Staff are helpful and courteous. Indeed, it’s value for money.
Compliant of less cold water pressure ”
Firstly I booked for New Deluxe 2 Rooms., I was shifted in Room 1501 and 1502 connecting rooms., what I found out the room are very well maintained even the toilet but except the shower hose and shower pipe and the cold water pressure is like dripping every seconds which means it has no pressure at all so i have to take only shower of hot water but after turning it on hot water tap.. Oh my ghost it was up to 70 degree hot.., my chest was fully red and i called immediate duty manager Mr. Eric and he assisted me very well by offering me medical treatment but i refused and requested him to change my room and then his kindness didnt over yet and he even offered me sweet suite room but as i was in connecting rooms so i still refuse to go but then he transfer me to another connecting rooms as 1522 and 1523 then finally i felt released of all the tensions i had earlier but the cold water pressure here in this room was not even that good but was bearable to have a cold water shower.. I really wanted to suggest them to upgrade the hotel maintenance properly.. Thanks Simon.
