It was a safe and warm place in a very cold Vancouver hat came with a $30.00 in their elegant restaurant which we used for a elegantly prepared meal.

Perfect stay - affordable price and 5-star feel ”
I'm almost afraid to write a great review because the next time I'm in Vancouver I'm booking here and I don't want this place to start getting expensive or too popular. The hotel staff kindly upgraded us to a suite on the 24th floor during check-in. The suite was newly renovated and had a 5-star feel, yet I paid about $130 total per night after tax. You can't do better than that in downtown Vancouver, trust me. Hostels will still run you $100 before tax, and the next level-up hotel called Blue Horizon ($150+tax) isn't even better than Century. Trust me, I did hotel research for months before finally choosing to book with Century.
Returning to see friends and colleagues in Vancouver after a 7 yr hiatus. Chose Century Plaza for location. Fab service thru out our stay. Could not fault anything. Loved the kitchen in the unit and we had an amazing view from the 24th floor. Sunsets were amazing. Felt safe in the area and it was an ideal location to everything downtown and a walk over the bridge to Granville island was also great.
Ideal location and large clean rooms”
Wew stayed in the Century Plaza Hotel and Spa for 3 nights prior to joining our Alaska cruise. We found the location ideal for access to downtown areas and Canada Place cruise port. An added benefit was that the free shuttle to the Capilano Suspension Bridge starts right outside the door (from Capilano a local bus operates to Grouse Mountain, a short ride further up the road) Our room was very large, comfortable and clean with a kitchen area and the view from the room was excellent. Staff were friendly and helpful. Did not have time to sample the restaurant or other amenities offered at the hotel but will next visit.
Good location, value for money”
My partner and I thought the location was very good and we got the hotel at a great price. We dropped our hire car off at the airport and took the sky train to downtown and had a 10 minute walk to the hotel. Check in was easy and quick. Staff were very helpful. The room was clean, spacious and had a little kitchen. They provide an amenities area for guests where you can use the computer and print if needed, and also wash and dry your clothes. Very useful. There is also a cafe in the hotel with good coffee and soup. Walk for 2 minutes and you have a grocery store, bike hire, coffee, food and bars. It really is a good location. 20 minute walk to Granville island. We hired bikes from close by and cycled to Stanley Park which wasn’t far either. We were able to walk to everything from here and all the public transport stations in Vancouver are close by if needed.
We enjoyed our stay at the Century Plaza on Burrard. So convenient to sites and great restaurants. Having an efficiency unit was great for nights we stayed in - there is a grocery store one block away. We treated ourselves to a treatment at the spa, too .
Great location, great staff”
If you want a spot in central Vancouver, then this is a great option. I had a one night stay and was very happy with this hotel. It was not cheap - it was a Saturday night - but just about everywhere in Vancouver is expensive during the summer months. I was glad this was my first impression of the city and would I stay there again? Absolutely. Thanks to the front desk team for being so helpful.
Awesome staff, great restaurant, good locale”
C Prime restaurant was fantastic Staff was polite and attentive Great location near shops and attractions Fun visit to Vancouver BC for a concert
Fantastic location! ”
Our few days spent at Century Plaza Hotel were great. The staff is very knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. They can recommend places to visit and restaurants.
Adequate for the price point but with good, friendly staff”
We chose this hotel with the knowledge that this will not be a new, renovated hotel. The room we stayed were probably one of the oldest that they have, with really old carpet and bathroom fixtures. But at the room rates we are paying, this hotel provides great location which is within short walk, north to the waterfront or south to the ferry crossing to Granville Market. The hotel also supplemented our stay with daily vouchers to use towards your meals at their restaurant or for massage at the spa. The restaurant serves very good food and we had great meals there, awesome service by Sam who took pride in what he is doing. Yes, the room is in need of upgrading but at the room rate + supplemented vouchers, great staff and a good restaurant if you are too tired to go out meals, this hotel fits the bill of choice. They also have an amenities room for laundry, ice machine and a pc/printer if you need it.
Loved it! ”
Got a beautiful suite on the 12th floor. We loved Vancouver but we wanted to stay in and do nothing too because we loved the place.
We stayed for 3 nights. The hotel is very old and heavily used. The slowest, smallest elevators ever! We had a fire in an elevator store room and an alarm went off an early morning. Staff said it was a false alarm, no fire, but my husband talked to the firefighters and they shared the 'real story'. Liked the coffee shop and HappyHour in the lounge of the restaurant. The bed was very comfortable. We would have liked a shuttle to the cruise port. Vancouver is beautiful but a very expensive city.
Great Location, Good Clean Space, Dated Facility and Average Front Desk Staff”
This location worked out very well for us. It is very central and if you are willing to walk a bit you can get to most downtown highlights. It is well know hotel and on the route of the Capilano Suspension Bridge bus route. The kitchen came in handy to avoid eating in restaurants for every meal. There is an IGA two blocks away. The hotel restaurant provided good service, appetizers were good, the Salmon entree was not that great. I think overall there value is good for what you get. I was disappointed in the attentiveness and demeanor of the front desk staff.
A clean apartment and good place to stay in Vancouver.
Good location but old clean hotel”
Hotel is very old, even the doors to the room has paints peeling off. But the location is very good and along the main thorough fare Burrard street. Walking distance to Robson street shopping, Granville Island ferry terminal, Stanley park and train station to Metropolis. Price is a little steep for such an old hotel though it is always sold out. Reception staff is very helpful and friendly.,
Booked this hotel for it's price and location. 24 mins walk to Rogers Arena was well work the savings. Wish we had more time to check out the pool and restaurant :(
Good location and very spacious room”
1. Hotel staff is very efficient upon check-in 2. Good location, there's IGA a block away, and it;s a close walk to Robson St or Davie St. During summer time, there is a free shuttle to Capilano Suspension Bridge right in front of the hotel. 3. The room is spacious and clean despite two queen size bed in it. There's a full-size refrigerator, a stove with an oven, a small pantry, plates & cutlery, and coffeemaker. The room carpet may need to be replaced as it's almost worn out. Buy your own water from IGA. There's Fiji Water in the fridge but you will be charged about $4.00 for it. I was satisfied with my stay.
A Well Kept Older Hotel”
Vancouver’s hotel room rates are expensive! I pick this hotel for its location. Still it works out to be CAD400 per night including 3 different kind of taxes. The overnight parking is about CAD21 including taxes. The hotel is a 35 yr old 30 story building with 10 units on our floor. We were places into 2 corner rooms on a higher floor, as requested, one with a shaky looking balcony, but with great city views. The rooms are basically 1 bedroom suites with 1 king-sized bed, can easily accommodate a rollaway bed. The bathroom fixtures are old but functioning. The hot and cold showers are bit challenging to control and enjoy. The paint of the room entry doors are worn out, which gives an impression of negligence, by the hotel and its owner. There are 5 elevators but catching the elevator one must be nimble on the feet. It is because there are no hall lanterns to ‘warn’ its arrival. Out of the 5, there seems one a small elevator on the left that arrive most often.
Best hotel in Vancouver !!!!”
Absolutely love this hotel !!! Walking distance to everything . Brilliant staff . Great rooms great value . I am a frequent visitor and will definitely return at Christmas
The Hotel staff greeted me like I was a somebody and important to them. They were very hospitable and the parking valet was a pleasant person to greet me after a long day at work and accommodating to my needs. I will definitely stay with this chain again anytime.
Good & clean hotel ”
IGA supermarket is near. Microwave is really helpful. I didn't book a room with a breakfast so no comment for the breakfast. But if you travel with elderly or kids, the hotel is slightly far away from City Center skytrain station especially there is uphill when you walk toward the hotel.
