Best hotels & accommodations in Chalok Baan Kao

After a week in Thailand we finally docked in Koh Tao and arrived at the incredible View Point Resort. The resort is situated in the incredibly beautiful Chalok Baan Kao bay, and you reach it by going over a very steep hill with a taxi. Ask around at the pier and they will help you out (about 100B per person). We arrived and was welcomed by very friendly reception st...

SERVICES: Chia, the receptionist was always helpful and nice with my family and me, helping with our luggage, informing us about everything, a very nice guy. We didn't have breakfast at the hotel. ROOM& FACILITIES: The room was big and clean with a little terrace. Beds were confortable, good Aircon, hot water, (the only thing to improve was the toilet flush, a little w...

We stayed there for only one night. The hotel is at a very nice spot. The view was superb. The employee at the hotel were really sweet and helpful. Our room is very nice and over looking Chalok baan Kao beach which is quite beautiful. There isn't much to criticise about but we wished the hotel was a little cheaper. As a whole it is a relaxing hotel and suitable for ...

The sunset villas give you a more than 180 degree uninterrupted view over the water and bring a refreshing sea breeze right to your bed. You'll need a bike to explore the rest of the island, although plenty of restaurants and shops are within walking or kayaking distance at Chalok Baan Kao Bay (free kayak rental is included with your stay). Staff were very helpful. Try...

I stayed here for four nights. Very good value for money. Rooms are spacious and clean. Aukotan is walking distance (5-10 min) to the shops and dive centres in Chalok Baan Kao. There is also a small supermarket/general store downstairs with is very handy to purchase snacks and small necessities. There are also a handful of restaurants/cafes and massages shops in the ...

Very nice resort at Baan Chalok. We stayed at the Paradise Zone which was very quiet and had a great atmosphere to relax after a long journey. All necessary facilities within reach. We also stayed in a very spacious room with a lovely balcony with great views over Shark Bay and, with clear sky, the island of Koh Phagnan. Overall the food is good and hotel staff very he...

I was staying in Villa 1 while a friend was staying at one of the apartments. the apartment was noticeably bigger with a dining table inside the house. the villas didn't have it. the place is very clean and well maintained, the stuff is working around the clock to maintain a good looking place both the rooms and the property, the pool is one of the best I've seen for t...

The rooms are really nice, lots of space, especially in the 6 bed dorms. A balcony to dry your clothes, and a big closet beside your bed to put things inside and at the top. They have plenty of space to hang out, and even a swimming pool!! The WiFi is good, just bad you need to log on to one device at the time, so not ideal for those who want to work. It's close to c...

The location is perfect -right on chalok ban kao beach. This resort has a gorgeous secluded beach, enough restaurants (including Haad salad great for veggies), bars and shops without being busy or hectic -perfect. The rooms are fine, have air con, clean enough and are in a pretty garden setting. Would stay again!

I don't leave reviews, but Baan Chalok was so amazing that I owe it to them. The regular: clean, comfortable, friendly, good wifi (I stayed in the 4-bed dormitory with bathroom attached). The additional: quality mattresses, pillows and towels! Breakfast included (toast, jam & bananas), free coffee/thee/cookies all day. Lovely lobby/terras that almost makes you want to ...

I was staying with a friend in a queen size plus single bed room for roughly 1000 Bhat a night. Room had a fan but no AC, TV, warm water for the shower (electric heater) and a balcony facing the pool. Unfortunately ventilation in the room seemed to be problematic because it was always a little musty when we came into the room. But when you opened the window and set on...

We were 2 solo travellers who wanted to stay near nice beaches for cheap so decided to rent a twin room. They put us right at the far end of the resort so our view was chopped down trees and debris which wasn't as lovely as other rooms which over looked gardens & a pool. Anywho, it was pretty cheap at 600 baht so we didn't complain. The pool was nice and seemed quite c...

The staff were kind and friendly which stands out against the more jaded Thais on the islands. They were very accommodating and concerned for my welfare. After my first night at a party hostel the bungalow was a dream come true because it was so clean, quiet, and well maintained. On the downside it looks to Chalok Bay but in fact the closest beach is a hot and hilly 20...

- Picking up and sending to pier service - Next to the beach - Not far from viewpoint, I went there by walking - Nice restaurant around ( suggested Chalok Harbour: nice and reasonable price with beach view) - Bathroom was fine - Small locket, you can only keep small stuff - There is pool with beach view, but it is another side of road from the room - Free water - Blan...

At least the room number 7 was amazing, really big, clean, new with fridge and balcony. I really felt like I was in an apartament. The staff is nice but they close really early (6:00pm) so after that you can not ask for nothing. ubication is good 5 min to Chalok Beach and around 50 min walking to Sairee Beach (the party)

I will preference this review by saying read all the way to the end it may not end the way you think it will. When I arrived on Koh Tao I had to drop my girlfriend off at Buda View Diving then head up with the truck taxi to check in. I remember I kept telling the cab driver that my girlfriend was going to kill me as we went up the steep crazy road to the top where B...

This place is a small and really cozy hostel and diving school in a good location. Tua, the owner of this place, is really friendly and helpful like all the members of the team. The room is quite basic, but really clean and air-conditioned. Also the restaurant there is amazing, super tasty and a great value. I've also done my open water course there and it was the bes...
