Great accommodation in a quiet location”
One of my favorite accommodations of my trip. The location is perfect, close to the center but quiet. And great hosts, who speak good English and helped me a lot – even to get my battery charger back, which had fallen out of my pocket unnoticed during the bus ride. The breakfast was great with a lot of fresh fruit and I loved those hammocks in the green courtyard – great to relax after a whole day on the bike.

Take me back to Champa Lao!”
a lot of people who dont want to spend their time getting wasted and rubbing shoulders with the crowd you'd see out on a friday night in croydon won't want to come to vang vieng. stay here. i promise you, you can go kayaking, see the caves, go tubing without drinking lao lao at every bar on the course and staying at this place will give you great memories of vv. it's a cute set up just off the main road of vang vieng but in no way isolated. there's a choice of huts or 'villas'. i got a simple bamboo hut upstairs with just a bed which suited me fine for kip. it is basic, do not expect more. but its clean and the shower is hot. you get a padlock for your room and there's a great communal area where you can drink as much tea and coffee as you like. there's also hammocks and breakfast overlooking the river. i dont think i would have appreciated my stay in vang vieng quite as much if i hadn't stayed here with the fantastic owner and the cute puppies.

Nice relaxed atmosphere in a quiet setting....”
the layout and the relaxed atmosphere of the champa lao the villa gives the impression of being in the countryside not 250 yards from the centre vang vieng. staff are very knowledgeable of the local surroundings and extremely helpful, which led to an excellent stay...many thanks to all the staff

Enjoyable stay at Champa Lao”
We took 3 fanned rooms at Champa Lao for 3 retired couples from Malaysia visiting Vang Vieng for the first time. All of us enjoyed the cleanliness of the rooms in a typical Lao styled hotel with quiet location. Very convenient for us to walk to town for our food. Cool weather and very comfortable. We like the cockerels crowing in the morning and the plants around the hotel. All of us did not like the dogs sleeping on the sofa and chairs at the reception area though they are not a nuisance to us. Hotel staff were very helpful and overall we enjoyed our 2 day stay at the hotel.

lovely quiet and relaxing location great location , quiet and easy to find. We were really happy with our stay and the room. they cleaned daily and everything was well mainteained for an old Lao Villa. Would definantly return here again. Breakfast was included before 10am. would recommend they make this later as it was party season. All in all very happy with Champa Lao The Villa.

Charming Guesthouse in adventurous Vang Vieng, Laos”
Champs Lao The Villa; a charming, peaceful guesthouse within a short stroll of restaurants and bars (also close to the river). the welcome was efficient, the rooms (with bathroom) pleasant with their own sitting area on the loggia out front (or in the courtyard garden) and the staff most helpful next door their own tea/coffee room for breakfast and light meals. Nothing goes above an original French baguette with breakfast! A truly charming haven of tranquility which makes you forget the "guesthouse" adage. Our home again when in Vang Vieng, Laos.

Friendly Staff, excellent location, lovely ambianc”
champa lao is a very nice guesthouse. the staff was attentive, friendly, and helpful. the fan room with shared bathroom was a great value, and the room was beautifully constructed with hardwoods. mosquito net was provided, and the breakfast that was included was great with a fabulous view of the river. the hotel was near the quiet end of town, which for me was essential.

Clean hotel, nice rustic room, friendly staff”
We stayed here for 3 nights in Vang Vieng. The hotel is quite central but definitely set away from the busy parts of town. The room was like a beach hut but in a villa and very cheap. Shared bathroom was clean. Staff were really friendly. The rooms downstairs at the back of the villa look really nice too. Is about 4 minutes walk to the Tube shop, just in case you like that sort of thing....

Lovely hotel with a nice garden”
We enjoyed our stay at the Champa Lao Villa. It has a lovely garden, complete with a hammock, right outside your hotel room. One drawback is that the room itself is a little small and not a very good night light. However, it was very cleaan and attractively decorated. We also liked the location, just down from the main street. The very simple breakfast was in the restaurant across the street.

Great ambience ”
Place has a great atmosphere and is very pretty. I did enjoy location, as it not exactly in the center yet close and therefore quite. Rooms are small and clean, bathrooms as well (rather basic). I think they charge a bit to much for this standard but it may be Vang Vieng prices... I haven't seen nice places there.... anyhow the only minus is bed; it's hard as rock, pillows included. If you sensitive that way you should avoid this place!

Great value for your money.”
We are a couple in our early 60's. We really enjoyed our stay at Champa Lao. The owners were very involved in the management of the place and were very helpful when requested. The only concern - and it is minor, is that it can be challenging to go up the steep stairs with our luggage.

Quaint hotel away from the fray”
We stayed two nights here in Vang Vieng whilst en route to Vientiane. The hotel is authentic teak and has a very friendly atmosphere. Vang Vieng wasn't really for us but e scenery is stunning and a bicycle ride out to the Blue Lagoon and cave is well worth it. We arranged a bus to Vientiane no problem at all. The only downsides were the breakfast, very poor in Laos standards, and the shared bathroom facilities weren't great. Ok for a night or two though!

Quiet and Homey Stay in Vang Vieng”

Relaxed setting and helpful staff”
Rooms were basic but nice. Clean and tidy. All have access to verandah and hammock. Fans and aircon available. Laundry service also available. Staff were very friendly and helped with booking tickets for buses, tours and organising tuk-tuks. Nice garden and communal chillout area made Champa Lao feel very relaxed even though you could walk a couple of metres down the road and be amongst a raging bar party. Located within walking distance to everything you would need. Breakfast included, had to walk to a little family run kitchen across the road, you are given a number of choices that are then cooked fresh for you. Definitely recommend Champa Lao for somewhere relaxing to stay in an absolute backpacker town.

Great place, just no mountain views”
I loved my 4 night stay here! It was just as the pictures showed. It was clean. Bed was comfy. Staff was pleasant. Breakfast was simple but good. Maybe a tad overpriced given the lack of a view, but really liked the place. A nice garden area to drink your tea in, and hammocks to take an afternoon nap. Highly recommend it as a relaxing place to spend your time in Vang Vieng.

Best guesthouse in Vang Vieng”
Vang Vieng is a busy and loud little town. This guesthouse gets you a few blocks off the beaten path and ensures a good night's rest. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful and the lower level has a ton of lounging areas for when you want to relax out of the heat and away from drunk river goers. They offer breakfast and lunch which were delicious.
