Outdated but great!”
This hotel seems really outdated but you can tell they're trying their best to offer what they can! * Receptionist and staffs are friendly *There is no hot spring in the room but they have a huge hot spring spa in the basement with operating hours, there were no one else but us when we were there * The location is really close to the main street it's within walking distance to eateries and stores * They have free parking right in front of the building *Overall hygiene is excellent *You'd probably get free upgrade because I think we did as the room seems bigger than our expectation *Our room is really spacious *It is quiet generally but on the night of our stay there were this family with kids crying and screaming in the corridor We did not try their breakfast so is unable to comment on that. Overall we do recommend this hotel!

Old But Clean + Good Location”
The hotel is old, but it is a good location to stay in. My room unfortunately has cigarettes smell, but it was because they upgraded my room to a bigger one. The location of the hotel is right in the middle of many shops and street vendors. The hotel also has its own hotspring underground even though it is abit old.

It's not an expensive hotel, but you can get a good rest and far from traffic. Staff is very friendly and they offer free parking space.

Decent hot spring hotel ”
Looks old and run-down on the outside but is actually pretty clean and has comfortable, spacious rooms that even have balconies. Also has hot spring pools inside the hotel which I really enjoyed. Good if visiting Jiaoxi. Only negative is no free breakfast.

Cockroaches”
The hotel was quite cheap and has multiple large hot springs which were very very hot and quite nice. The only downside was we had two cockroaches in our room. My girlfriend found one while she was showering, I killed it, and then an hour later I went to the bathroom and found another one.

Valued for its price”
Spacious room with private balcony. They provided me a receipt instead of a proper legal invoice. Valued for its price with so so location, service, cleanness ... etc. Can't complain but probably not going to visit again.

Old Hotel, needs to be refurbished. Breakfast was cold, unappetising, few selection. ”
Staff, especially the counter lady, not friendly. Located quite far from train & bus station. Room is clean & public hot spring is good though.

Good value, good location, great staff”
i submitted this but it just sent me to login again, will try to remember it all. the staff here are what make the difference, very helpful, nice, and the two younger (guy and girl) speak english. stayed here two times, the 2nd being 2 weeks later because we enjoyed jiaoxi so much. the first time the rate was a little high, but the second time on agoda it was a smoking deal, very good value. the hot spring in b1 is indoors, with more water massagers/jets/buttons than i've ever seen. its outdated but does the job. 3 pools nice and hot, good jets, sauna steam. breakfast, 1st stay was taiwanese buffet (go early). 2nd stay they delivered breakfast to our room at the time we asked, nice touch. rooms are dated but still in good shape. fridge, dining area with table/stools, water boiler for coffee tea. bed is really hard, but i slept pretty good on it. 2nd time there, the hot spring was closed for cleaning so they gave us a coupon for a nearby 4seasons spa. 4seasons staff werent very nice and we had to leave since no shower caps on (first time in 3 weeks id heard that). champagne hotel staff even came and picked us up from there to drive us back, very nice. the hotel is located just around the corner from the market street, great spot. also maybe a 5 minute walk to jiaoxi station.

Great location service and big room”
hotel is located just 3mins drive from jiaoxi train station. you can choose to walk that as well. the hotel room is really big, beyond my expectation for the price i pay. condition of the room is better than the average taiwan rooms you will get around taiwan. breakfast is delivered to your room in the morning, at the time you request for it to be delivered, which serves as a morning call. overall i would say this is the hotel i will go back to stay should i return to jiaoxi, yilan.

Delightful stay”
I had a one-night stay at the Champagne Hotel on October 31st of 2014 (a Friday night). The hotel seems to be an older mid-range hotel that has been well-maintained and remains in good condition. The bed mattress was extremely firm (typical of Taiwanese hotel mattresses), almost like sleeping on a tatami mat. The staff were gracious and friendly. An older gentleman on the staff spoke English. The hotel is a very short walking distance from the Jiaohsi Train Station. It is quite close to the various hot springs parks and attractions in Jiaohsi, but it is not right in the center of the activities (where the noise and traffic is more intense); it is instead located in an area that is relatively quiet. There is a fine western-style pasta restaurant (NuPasta) just a few meters north of the hotel. If you are taking the Jiaohsi tourist shuttle bus to any more distant locations (e.g., hiking on the Holy Mary Trail, as I was), there are shuttle bus stops quite close to the hotel, and the staff will help you figure out when and where to go to catch the bus. The hot springs spa in the basement of the hotel is lovely, with windows bringing in fresh air from outside, a range of nozzles and spouts to spray water or bubbles at you, and good temperatures (neither too hot nor too cool). Everything was quite clean, even by American standards what I saw of the hotel was clean, but by Taiwanese standards this was very clean, and by Mainland Chinese hotel standards this place was exceptionally clean. I had a special internet deal for the hotel with Agoda, and paid only about 1320 NT$ for a night (about $44 US), and this extremely good bargain may have biased my review to be more positive. I would like to return to the hotel the next time I'm in Jiaohsi, and I recommend it as an exceptionally good choice for affordable, non-luxury accommodations in the area.

Fair Price and caring staff”
Very good deal in my opinion. Especially compared the the prices other hotel spas in Jiaoxi are asking I would say the Champagne is a good value. Not much ambience and it seems that they are slowly working on some upgrading. The facility seems to be a diamond in the rough. Management I am guessing is a family that did everything they could do to be accommodating. There spa in the basement with it's limited hours of operation, was with the exception of being in the open bottom part of the hotel, very nice. The water quality and hydro jets were better than the spa that they gave me a voucher (given to multi day stays) to go to on my second night, but the atmosphere was a leap ahead and available all day. If given the option for the sack breakfast vs the buffet, go option 1. The buffet was weak and is intended for the tour bus crowd that I think is the vast majority of the guests. I was the only independent guest there on my weekday stay. Good size room, clean bathroom, clean room and bed, fresh fruit, caring staff and very inexpensive in a nice town. If you can get a good price then I would give them a try.

Quaint old hotel/spa”
The Champagne Hotel must have seen better days, but nowadays it looks hopelessly outdated and very, very empty. If you don't care for these things, the hotel might offer much of what you need. The location (in the north of Yilan) is good, the rooms are quite big, and there's a balcony overlooking... uhm... rubbish of what used to be other spa's. The main reason not to check into this hotel is that the mattrasses are hard as wood or brick. Seriously, I've never in my life encountered another mattress like this and therefore I can honestly say I didn't get much sleep at all :)

Very good value experience! Great!”
Jiaoxi is a sleepy town. I used it for day trips between fulong to jiufen and to catch the first local train to hualien. This plan works perfectly well! It is great as prices are extremely low & rooms huge. There are a lot of things the hotel can improve but looking at the price it is a great value & I will be ashame if I complaint further. It only took me a couple of minutes walk to reach the train station n many famous food. The hotel is quite old and basic but the hotspring bath is definitely of good standard. I will check in this hotel if I ever return to jiaoxi.

Great value”
Check-in was quick and easy. Room basic, but clean and comfortable. I slept well. Bathroom could do with a make-over, but ok as it was. I tried the hot spring in the evening - it could do with sprucing up, but considering it was included in the very competitive room rate, there was nothing to complain about. I expect to stay here again on my next visit to Jiaoxi.

You Get What You Pay For”
Not a pleasant one. First of all, there are 3 major townships within the County of Yilan: Jiaoxi, Yilan, and Luodong. The hotel (and so are most of the Spa Resorts) is located in the Jiaoxi Township so do not ride the train to Yilan. When I arrived at the hotel around 4pm the place looks like a run-down and abandon hotel on a small hill with no outside or inside lights turned on. I was assigned to room #518 so I had to take a really small and old elevator up the 5th floor with a service maid's help on turning on the lights down the 5th floor hallway. She told me that since it was on a Friday afternoon so they were not expecting many guests to arrive yet. Once I got into the room it was roomy and dark but the bathroom was really old, rusty, and run-down. Single lock on the door does not give me a sense of security. The door is make of iron so when opening and closing the door it makes a lot of noise. Walking down the dark hallway at night makes me feel like I am in a cheap horror movie. The management claims that there is WiFi in each room but I tried many many times and can't get any signal so I had to work on my laptop in the lobby. The hotel also turn off majority of the lighting after midnight. I was out late at a local pub and got back late to find that the main entrance to the hotel was locked and lobby lights were 80% turned off. I had to knock on the door and wait to have a guy come and open the door for me. Would I go back to the hotel again? Never, even if it is for free. I check into another hotel the next day but had to pay 3 times more for it because it was on Saturday, the busies day for the hotels in this area. I should have known better, things are cheap for a reason, or many reasons.

Great staff but ok hotel”
Hotel is old and really needs upgrading. However, we still enjoyed our stay. Rooms were clean and beds huge. They were really hard though but I found most beds in Taiwan hard so I don't hold it against them. Staff were also very helpful and kind. They actually gave us a lift to the train station in the morning even though it was really nearby as they saw that we had 3 large bags and 3 kids to juggle. We were given spa vouchers for a nearby hotel that was much better than the spa at the hotel. Had a great time there esp since it was cold and rainy when we got there. The sandwiches they gave for breakfast were amazingly delicious! My kids inhaled all of them including the picky eater. Easy to walk around town as the town was quite small. It's also quite easy to find. Exit from the train station, walk straight all the way to the end of the road. Turn left about 50m and you're there.
