The room is clean, and there is coin laundry available on site. The hotel is very close to Taichung train station (~ 5 mins walk).

Good hotel with great location, BUT our room smelled like cigarettes.”
Great location! Near Taichung TRA, convenience stores, taxi bay, bus stops, and outlet stores. Hotel staff and facilities were good. Clean towels and they replenish everyday. However, on our last day when we woke up, our room smelled a like cigarettes. We called them up and found out that they allow their guests to smoke cigarettes. We didn't know where the smell came from but we think it was from their air conditioner. So possibly the room next door was smoking and somehow the smell got into our room

Location is 5 minutes away from Taichung Bus interchange and opposite is Taichung Train Station. Next to Chance Hotel is Chuan Hang Bus service. Breakfast has ample varieties to choose and service staff is attentive and prompt. Overall service is good .

Booked on the day of check-in for S$30. Room was small but decent for 2 pax. Room was cleaned. Fridge is empty. No tv channel list, which was a little sad. Overall, it excellent, budget-friendly hotel that’s right next to the railway station.

Just in front of the TRA station, near Miyahara as well and the Lu Chuan night lights. Very good breakfast. Easy check in and check out. 100NTD taxi ride to Yi Chong Night Market. The hallway is somehow dark though. But this place is recommendable!

Room is pretty small and woke up couple of times middle of night but overall is clean. No complaints since I just needed a place to sleep in at night after travelling out a full whole day. Sufficient toilet, bathrooms and cleaning/dressing area so you do not need to wait for your turn. Its pretty near just opposite the Taichung railway station but since the station is under renovation, would probably take 10 mins to walk there.

This is a clean, convenient hotel near the train station (a crowded area with many cheap hotels - Chance is nicer). It's a good location for a short trip, but you'll want to stay nearer the park on Taiwan Boulevard for a longer trip. It's very close to Miyahara but not close to other shopping and nightlife spots.

Hotel is opposite TRA Taichung station, few minutes walk to main bus stop. Good breakfast with many kinds of taiwan food. Value for money and convenient to travel Taichung city.

Its location is ideal for those who travel via train & bus. It is some distance from Taichung HSR (high speed rail), around 30-45 mins when commuting by cab. Walking distance to food & Tai Yang Bing (Sun Cake) stores, time varies from 5-20 mins walk. However, during our stay the surroundings of the railway station are under construction. Thus, the walk to station will be around 10 mins. Room size is quite okay, there is still some space for walking after opening 2 luggage on the floor. Toilet is not very big but it is sufficient. Staff at reception are all friendly and ready to offer assistance. Overall, a good stay in Taichung.

Room was big, bed are massive. breakfast variety was acceptable , with a strategic location that advantaged traveller heading to airport or taipei city. Laundromat service was hidden on the 4th floor, only reachable through another entrance, which the entire level was hidden behind the lobby, dettached from our normal stay level. A few restaurant within walking distance.

This one is no match for the level of service we got from the other hotels we stayed in during our 10-day trip. The location may be nice but the ambiance is dim and gloomy. The small room would have been ok if service were nice, but unfortunately, that's not the case. The staff are not that good in English and were even hesitant to talk to us. The breakfast area opens at 6:30 am. Yeah, we get that. But we had to leave at 6:45 to catch our 7:30 THSR trip. So we requested if we could have coffee at 6:15 am, 15 minutes - JUST FIFTEEN MINUTES - before the scheduled opening time. The restaurant was all set at 6:15 but we were not allowed to come in. So disappointing. Other hotels were way more flexible, understanding and accommodating.
