Did not see any staff . Arrived sat afternoon left Sunday . Communication about how to find room lacking
Too overpriced, not really close to amenities ”
I thought the location was great but found you really needed a car to get close to amenities , staying at surfers paradise or Southport would have been better . Staff not very helpful with information . Bed so hard , pillow so flat and uncomfortable with mould in bathroom . Cleaning just once a week with the price you pay you will expect daily cleaning , can get more value for money at other apartments
Window would close with force, air con wouldn't work and many spiders.
Short walk to Bond University
Poorest service ever!”
Turned up to a Saturday night booking at 1pm on Saturday. Reception closed. Doors locked. Called contact number on door. Was informed I hadn't arranged a late check in (1pm late!!) and was advised no keys had been left out for me. Called four times whilst waiting at the entrance. Was cut off four times by the call centre. Requested return call from manager, received none. Had to urgently book alternative accommodation whilst waiting outside! Absolutely shocking!! Worst ever!
Great location, close to beach and shops”
Great location and nice place. The bed however was terrible. Ended up sleeping on the couch after the first few days.
Poorly maintained, dated decor. NO free WiFi”
On arrival after 5pm, noticed that there was no free WiFi even though a note on the table of the room stated free Wifi with login details, but SSID not found on WiFi scanning, call up after hours hotline, no idea about this and just said: "couldn't help". On check out, confirm with reception and she said WiFi is NOT free and need to be purchased. Webpage deceiving stating Free WiFi, but upon second look, it is only free for 2 bedroom suite, but why the login details in the room stating free WiFi?? Room dated and table lamp not working. The building B is located at another part of the compound with no ramp for baggage and need to carry them down the stairs. Location wise is close to the shopping street. If you want just a place to sleep, it is okay. Don't choose the room facing the park as there are frequent buses stopping outside the busy bus stop which would be noisy throughout the day and morning.
Very nice property. Close to Lake.”
The property is close to lake so don’t forget to go for walk. Our 2 old daughter enjoyed the pool and staff was kind enough to give us room on 3rd floor which is the highest floor. They do the housekeeping once in a week so if your stay is less than 7 days, you need to manage though they provide the vacuum cleaner in the room. Overall nice and quite place to stay. I recommend especially if travelling with young kids...
Ideal location ”
Stayed at Chancellor Lakeside for 4 nights to attend a conference at nearby Bond University. Perfect location -- within easy walking distance to Bond Uni (10 minutes) and shops and restaurants even closer.
Lovely location ”
Perfect for a stop over. Building is modern in a quiet town.
We were uner the impression there was a balcony over the water. Instead a window looking over a swamp. With the fly screens that had been pulled off and were sitting on the ledge, So we could not even open the windows. No teaspoons to even make coffee with a few bits and pieces of cutlery and dishes. Broken lamps in room, dripping tap that you had to really tighten to get off. Whole room was not very clean. Freezer in teh fridge totally blocked with ice. We went home after our competition a day early. Definately not worth the money and will never stay again. No staff to even talk to.
Pros: Clean, big beds, great location, quiet & plenty of undercover parking. Cons: Tried to check in early, knowing the unit was empty, but the receptionist politely declined, as “check in time is 2 o’clock”.
It was disappointing to have to pay for internet and the bed was so hard it was nearly impossible on”
A better quality mattress, additional pillows (there were none) and better quality coffee (the type supplied was terrible). Would help improve my stay. I got next to no sleep the entire 3 nights as the mattress was so hard it was like sleeping on the floor.
Loved the location and enjoyed walking around the lake. There are lots of different places to dine and only a quick walk away. Room was good. Beds are quite hard. Enjoyed our stay
Room was fairly battered. Lots of dents and marks on the wall. Fresh red wine spray up one wall. Smelt funky. The unwashed bed toppers were particularly dirty- most hotels don’t wash them but when they get bad, probably should. Expensive for the condition
Easy check in after hours and check out. Apartment was very clean. Would stay here again.
Basic accommodation in a nice quiet location”
Lakeside Apartments were very quiet and peaceful. While they were easy to find, the website says check-in is open from 2pm, but just be aware if you arrive on a weekend, reception is unstaffed. There is an after hours intercom, however this cut out a number of times and I was required to say my credit card details out loud, while other guests walked by (not great when it comes to security!).
The Pool was a real disappointment, reported to reception, that there were smoke butts, a plaster and chewing gum at the bottom of the pool. Tables and chairs obviously not wiped down, rubbish bin overflowing and the amounts of smoke butts everywhere was not appealing. Although very modern, the smell of ethnic food cooking was so over powering thru building A Very difficult to connect to the WIFI no guide, i had to request info with numerous calls to reception- no complimentary WIFI Our room was unfortunately directly opposite the refuse room for our level, and the smell became unbearable and over powering we were spraying air freshener every minutes.
Great for travellers visiting Bond U
