The rooms at the hotel are quite standard but nice, what you are paying for here is the view and grounds. I highly recommend getting a room with a balcony, we would of been very disappointed if we had taken a room with no balcony just to save a few pounds. The area of the complex is massive and the gardens are well taken care of and it has the best part of the private beach which is shared between a few resorts. The food is excellent, large portions and very reasonably priced for a resort. The staff are friendly and look after you well. My only complaint about the hotel is the pool, it's big and beautiful but in the middle there is a shallow part that has a floor that is like walking on razor blades. It's not a massive problem as you just don't walk on that part but I thought it was such a stupid problem and so easy to fix. I know you need grip in a pool but I still want the skin on my feet. Other than that I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a relaxing time on Koh Chang.

Really nice stay, service minded staff, that goes fare to help you. Can recommend this Chang Park. Only downside to Koh Chang, are the russian turists starting to invade the island, as they (in general) have no or little respect for the Thai-culture and Thai-people

Great location on the beach”
I was changed to a room when I arrived and am glad that I was. The standard bungalows don't look like much so I would take heed of other people's comments on this site. First off, the rooms are very standard. They are not like most of the rooms that I have had in Thailand with traditional Thai decorations. There are no decorations and everything is white. That being said, the beds are ok and there is a fridge. The shower leaves something to be desired but I think that is a common problem in most places. Breakfast is good and the staff is wonderful and friendly. The front desk staff was very helpful in arranging trips. The pool is good and there is a lovely strip of beach to relax on. I suggest getting there early if you want to secure a lounger. The island is easy to get around and this is a central spot to explore other parts of the island. I would stay at this location again.

Very friendly place!”
Great place. The staff were so friendly and helpful to myself and my little boy who were travelling alone. Little bit worried when we arrived at the peeling paint, but everyone was so kind we saw beyond that! Great breakfast, lovely clean bungalow, bedding changed every two days and towels every day. We were just steps from the beach, but also very close to the town, bars and eateries. Lovely pool, beach, bar at beach. Evening food was good too, but very quiet at the BBQ which was very reasonable. Will def recommend it and will go again asap.

Chang Park, lovely and relaxed”
I had a lovely time, and would recommend it. I'd stay there again if I went back to Koh Chang. Some people walk by with things to sell on the beach, but they do not hassle.

Convenient and family friendly beach”
Chang Park was a friendly hotel. It has seen better days, but the beach and the convenient location near 7eleven and the Kai Bae village makes it a great place to stay for some days. We loved the shadow trees at the beach where we could sit and play with our small son. The trees also had great swings appriciated by young and old. The sea was clear and fresh. The view with some small island was beautiful as well as the scenic mountains behind the village. Kai Bae village provides great opportunities for shopping and dining.

I will definitely continue to recommend Chang Park Resort to anyone because it is not expensive so all can stay a bit longer here without having to worry about spending too much.

my wife and I went to korh-chang for our friend's wedding. we booked a room for one night, because we're not quite sure with the hotel. but impressive with the garden and beach, we extends our stay with this hotel

Good location, nice beach and friendly staff”
Our stay in Chang park was happy. The staff were friendly and helping. We got upgrade to beach front traditional thai house in the case that the superior room we booked turned out to be unavailable. The house was just 20m from the beach, great. Breakfast was good. There are lots of good restaurants nearby, good night life. The only shortcoming was that, it was a bit expensive as we traveled in the peak season.

Windy nights in Chang Park”
We stayed in Chang Park for ten nights and first five nights were very windy and the wind blew throught the bungalow so it got a bit cold in the bungalow at night. Also there was a peacock which kept making very loud noises at night time. We liked the beach infont of the hotel. At Kai Bae beach the location of hotel was good, but I wuold have rather stayed at White sands

Lovely resort great pool 10m from the beach close to lots of restaurants and shops in Kae bay food and drink good prices at the bar will come back next year bathroom was very old but then if it was all new price would be more so we didn't care as it was a great location for beach and pool

Vacation with 80's feeling ”
It's a basic hotel with clean and comfortable bungalows that offers a relaxed atmosphere. The place had a feeling of still being a place in the 80's or early 90's. The sea is close by and the location by Kai Bae Beach which has several great restaurants. The cheap ones and simple Thai places are the great ones. Only internet in the lobby (negative).

Walking distance to everything, nice surroundings.”
The staff was helpful, the food was very good. The breakfast included the room was nice as well. The surroundings of the resort is beatiful! The view is nice and make the time spent on the balkony very pleasant. The resort is very close to many other resturant and bars. Easy to move around, you get everything you want just a few minutes walk away from the hotel. The resort have their own private beach who is really nice. But when you want to take a swim it's very very rocky. No place to let your kids take a svim. It was very windy when we stayed here, and we could not take a swim because we couldn't get any grip with our feet whitout getting hurt when the waves came in towards us. They have a bar just next to the beach, so very nice to relax without taking a swim :) They also have a big pool, but the water quality looked really bad so we didn't take our chance to get sick by swimming in it. We stayed here during the low season, and we're happy we did. This hotel is usally packed with russians who easily make your stay very uncomfortable with their rudeness and bad behavior. Think that's the main reason why so many of the staff seems "unhappy" But like I said, we was lucky cause of the low season, so we enjoyed our stay. The staff that we talk to at the beach-bar said during the high season there are only russians and no one else staying there. To bad they ruined this place as well. But I can recomend this place without problems during the low season, and there is a big chance we come back for another stay next year.

Exceptional”
We were so lucky to have this hotel for our stay. The hotel is safe and quite easy to find. The room had enough space for 5 of us with the separated room for my kids, That was great. the pool bar was also great, We can have a very delicious food with a payable price.The hotel got a private beach which made our family really enjoy. So I strongly recommend this hotel to all traveler, especially with kids. One more thing we would like to say thanks to the hotel reception staff who gave us such a warmly welcome and kindly assist. We will give this hotel 5 stars, thanya

friendly staff and nice beach”
the room is only ok .big clean but no hot water,and no tooth brush. but staff were all very friendly with big smile !! and the beach is so nice,good place to relax. around the resort have the things u need,like restaurant,bar,seven eleven..but of course not as much as in white sand beach.

Nice and private beach hotel and many Russians ”
this hotel is very convenient location which close to the places called 7-11 and lotus xpress, which the two places come in very handy when you don't have much money to spend on foods or those expensive seafoods. staff are friendly especially those security guards, dining workers and everyone who taking care the breakfasts. however, some staff aren't that helpful. i was assigned to the bungalow that so close to the street. guess what? there were loud noises from those nightlife clubs and stuff until 2:00 am or so of the next day. it's not easy to sleep with noise like that. so i did ask to switch for another bungalow. guess what? front desk said it's all full, but they would try and let me know. i did my check up by walking by to every single bungalow there. guess what? there're some bungalows that empty; nobody there. after 4 days and 3 nights of staying at the same bungalow, the frontdesk never called or made any kind of attempt to contact me. morever, this hotel is much have been taken over by the russians. why? there're so many of them. let's say all of them were russians, and i'm the only stranger, haha. have nothing against them, but most of the russians are unfriendly and kind of rude. i can keep talking more about them, but let just stop now ;-) what can i say more? from what i heard from the local people at koh chang, they said something like.... if there are russians there, then the majority of other tourists wouldn't want to come. they don't want to spend and share their time on koh chang with the russians. end ;-)

Green surroundings”
The hotel is located on Kae Bae beach and has close proximity to beach. On one side of hotel is main road and on other side is beach front. Lots of greenery and coconut trees all around. Great place for kids to play. bungalows are small, water pressure is less. Breakfast is sumptuous and good. The best beach around is white sand beach which is about 10 mins ride from the place.

An ok place to stay for a few nights. Kai Bae beach is a ok place. The bungalow was ok but the rooms in the hotel was better.

Good hotel with clean bungalows”
We usually prefer smaller hotels, but this resort was very good travelling with small children (10 months + 1 year). We stayed in a bungalow with garden view and walked about 50 metres to the beach which was great for kids - nice sand and trees to play under. There is also a pool to swim in. The staff was very friendly and played a lot with the kids.

Beach and Sun”
The hotel is clean enough, but was not renovated. Breakfast was not very good - most of food was cold. Too few amusements in the area, but I think this concerns to all hotels at Chang island. Only sea and sun. There are a few small restaurants and a lot of dressmakers. Good place for relax, but it is boring after couple of days. Hotel even does have free internet and has only a dozen of TV channels.
