Second Visit to Charm Churree”
We love Charm Churree. The staff is amazing- esp the guy that works in the snorkel beach shack, he is knowledgeable friendly, and helpful. The breakfasts are great. I would say when you book the place ask to be next to the ocean -the views can be phenomenal. We will go back sometime next year.

Best beach Jansom bay - always good”
Super nice beach - always good water level, lot of fish even in compare with Nang Yuan island! Good breakfast Old bungalows but still nice I could recommend + only 10 min walk to the pier

Excellent”
The resort could be paradise, but the impression is as if it was abandoned. If one would invest more love in it, it could have a kind of shabby chic- but this would a passionate investment of effort in repairing and a good sense for small details... the Beach is beautiful and clean with many fishes - snorkelling or dubs diving is nice - the Restaurant is time-worn - but food is good. WLAN is. Not secured. No Electricity in the afternoon which would be ok if info was given before booking. Breakfast was moved to beach with no info at the normal breakfast place - just a black table - no written info to go to the beach for breakfast.. So it only could be paradise,..

It has great snorkeling right on the property! ”
There were many very steep hills to climb to and from the beach and the restaurant. It is a big work out for someone who is not very fit. I had to stop many times to catch my breath as I climbed he hills.

Nice, quiet location ”
Jansom Bay beach beautiful. Rooms old but good. Starlight restaurant a waste of time, uncomfortable and overpriced. Very friendly staff.

Blended Family of 5”
Had room 70 and 71 which are at the entrance to the facility. Definitely rustic, which we enjoyed. Had a sewer smell in 71 and staff worked to eliminate it - I think due to the water shortage on Koh Tao they shut the water off to the room and so the water toilet evaporated out thereby allowing sewer gas to exit into the room. It did subside. Location was great with a 15-minute walk into town. The pool was huge though the water a little cloudy, but we were mostly in Jansom Bay snorkelling.

Best beach in Tao”
Very nice rooms (little bit old already) but still good, the best small beach + only 10 mim walk to Mae Haad pier - we love that place to live!

Old-world charm, fine for limited stay”
The rooms were humongous, with additional enormous screened-in porch as well as small open-air porch. The resort was remote, a long walk along a dirt road to restaurants and civilization. The breakfast was at the resort's beachside restaurant, which was about a 5 minute walk down slippery tiled walkway. In our 2 days there, 3 of us slipped on the tiles as it rained both days. The resort had a feel of being forgotten. It was off-season and no one else seemed to be staying there, though at breakfast there clearly were other guests. The beach was very small, private and lovely. The snorkeling is OUTSTANDING. The equipment was free and great quality. The staff is good if reserved. I was glad for the experience. It was nice to have so much space. But we were glad we only booked 2 nights. The resort graciously provided taxi to and from dock for free.

This place is a lot about control and rules. Already when arriving they make u sign tons of papers.”
Always feels a little bit too much under control. Staff at the restaurant checks a bit too eager about your room number. You will find a price list for items of your room in case you steal something. The receptionist doesn’t trust you. A bit brrrr experience.

Very good”
Charming hotel with excellent location. Spacious room with beautiful sea view. Built on steep elevation so expect lots of steps to restaurant and beach. Staff not particularly friendly, and most do not speak English or Thai and tend to be from Myanmar. Dining (dinner and breakfast) with open terrace by the sea front with wonderful view. Breakfast is basic with egg station,Chinese and Thai option Buffet and coffee and tea (not the best).. room is massive with large balcony with sun beds and sea view. Eccentric and large bathroom, the only hotel I find with a urinal in the toilet :-) .. The downside is the beach and pool are very small and rather a long and steep walk down..

Nice resort with a luxurious feel. ”
Good resort. Little bit remote. Both in a good and bad way - depending on what you are looking for. Very charming restaurant with great sunset views and very tasty Thai meals. But quite a pricy option. Fantastic swimming pool.

Great snorkeling; lots of hills& stairs”
The private beach with great snorkeling was awesome. We took an around the island snorkeling tour and Hanson Bay(the hotel ) was as good or better than any of the others. Be prepared to walk up and down lots of steep hills and steps to get anywhere at this resort.
