Okaasan's Material”

Miyazu is such a small and peaceful town, and this ryokan is a locally-owned place by a family. We have a super time talking with the owner (which we referred to her as Okaasan) and she was super kind and nice to us. She introduced us to many special stores and places to visit, and we have a lovely discussion with her as well. She supports us in so many way I don't even know how to say thank you. The food served here is totally delicious, a perfect Okaasan's Material! The toilet was so clean and wonderful! The onsen is the best! What a great and wonderful place!!!!!!! Okaasan's Material, must definitely come back to this place again no matter what!!!!

everything was great”

The owner family were really kind. Rooms are what you will see in a japanese traditional room with yukata and everything. The bath was really warm, clean and had a nice view to look. Overall I would really recommend to stay here if you are traveling to Amanohasidate. A little walk to the Miyazu station and you will be there in Amanohasidate.

Easy access to anywhere ”

Bus stop to Amanohashidate & Ine is just less than 200 meters away from the ryokan. Also supermarket & restaurants in the surrounding. I spent 2 nights here and really enjoyed myself in Miyazu area. I'll come back again. Also to recommend to my friends.

Smokey, noisy, overpriced”

This ryokan is in Miyazu, 3km from Amanohasidate and a good 15-minute walk from the local station, so the location is not great and Miyazu is a tiny place where nothing is happening. The room was OK, but no ensuite and I've had better equipped rooms for less in big cities in Japan. There was a lot of noise from radios, staff talking, tradesmen bellowing outside the door at 8am, strange dinging noises in the middle of the night. Outside my door there was "smokers' box" where smokers left the corridor full of smoke from smouldering cigarettes. The only bathroom seemed to be the onsen downstairs - the tiniest I had seen in Japan - and I was charged a tax for using it on leaving, which was a first. I didn't like the attitude of this place, you can only check in after 4pm and should leave "before 10am". One of the main reasons I chose this place was for wifi, which worked when I arrived and then stopped. I felt somewhat conned re location and room facilities at this place. It's not horrible, but there's not much to recommend it.

Very nice Japanese style hotel”

We stayed 1 night there with very good experience. It's a family hotel, the family is very attentive & friendly even though there is language barrier. Room is very nice Japanese style, it made us feel the Japanese culture & just like being home. They have own onsen (hot spring) with affordable extra charge, it's unique & we enjoy it so much. Overall it's nice & value for money.

Amazing service”

They could not hâve been nicer, or more helpful. Drove us to the beach when the bus was late. Gave us free water melon when it was hot. Left lovely notes with the key when we were late. Lovely people.

古い旅館ですが、受付の方々はAgodaのシステムをよく理解されていて、チェックインはスムーズでした。建物も古く趣きがあります。木造ですが廊下全体にカーペットをはり、音の対策をされているようです。とはいえ、ホテルのような静寂を求める方には向いていません。また、ここを訪れた時には泊まりたい旅館です。

賓至如歸,太完美的住宿經驗”

為了到日本三景之一的天橋立賞雪景,臨時訂房,約晚間7:00才搭JR到達,在步行至旅館過程中全家徜佯在細細雪花的感動中,直到旅館內沒想到當晚遊客不多,店主人接袋我們全家四口在他們最大的和式套房中欣賞庭園雪景,還引領我們享受包廂式的泡湯風呂,又擔心寒涼在我們沐浴後早已將房中的暖氣溫暖了整間房了,除了一夜好眠,隔天下大雪還送雨傘2支,甚至因為雪太大,開了自家的休旅車載我們全家直接到天橋立去賞景,這次日本旅行中最令我賓至如歸的旅遊體驗,也是超完美的住宿經驗,感謝Charoku Honkan.
