Comfortable”
The place feels like a very warm home and their beds are extra comfortable. Security is very good and also the guest house is also at a very safe neighbourhood and all good restaurants, beach and supermarkets a mere kilometre away. Their breakfast was devine with all choices available. I love love love this place.

Lovely guest house”
Me and my partner had a great time there.Breakfast had plenty of choice, staff very friendly and helpful and rooms immaculate. If there was a slight downside and i dont consider this as one but its a fifteen minute walk to the centre but a taxi is only 30 rand.

the budget suite”
Stayed one night during off season in june at Chartwell Guesthouse. No comments on their friendly staff but we were a bit disappointed about the room. Chartwell provides luxurious suites and we thought we booked a standard suite. The standard suite however turned out to be the 'budget suite' as mentioned on their own website. One should read about this before booking. My mistake. Nevertheless, we believe to think suite no.7 is just a room not a suite. You access the room from the parking lot, which somehow gave me the impression this room used to be a garage originally. The room is quite small and has two windows, one facing the water supply (?) and the other one views the owners laundry. Their website tells the budget suite is great value for a stopover, but considering the money we've spend and other places we've stayed, we believe it's overpriced. The beach is located about 20 minutes walking down a steep road. So basically for most people it can only be reached by car. Same goes for shops and restaurants. If you do want to stay at Chartwell guesthouse I would recommend to book one of the luxurious suites (they look really nice indeed) but to stay away from that budget one.
