Chatan hotels & places to stay

I fully enjoyed my stay at Chatan Beachside Condo Monpa. The location was excellent conveniently on the beach and located across the street from American Village plus a stones throw to the local us military bases. Our room was clean, loved the shower room. When hubby checked in and I asked if the desk spoke English he said very little but when I went down to exchange our towels I had no problem understanding the staff. They really make an extra effort to converse in English. Note you are responsible for daily tidying of your room. My hubby wished they would have come in to collect the trash but he had no other complaints. I had to use my Google translator to understand the condo's policies as everything was in Japanese. Keep in mind that you will have to pay for parking. I will definitely choose this location to stay on my next visit to Okinawa

We were really happy with our stay here. We couldn't believe how cheap it was to stay here compared with the rest of our hotels/rentals in Japan. The value was outstanding. Our studio apt was perfect for our needs with a great view of Araha, and there's lots to do on the beach. After spending the first half of our trip busily running around mainland Japan it was a welcome respite to stay put in one place and just relax at the beach. Something you should know is that this is located in Chatan which is about a 40 minute taxi ride from the airport and Okinawa does not have a well-developed public transport system like mainland Japan. You will not be able to get to and from Naha quickly or cheaply if you are wanting to explore the main city. Taxi is a little quicker but be prepared to spend $30-$40 bucks each way, public bus is cheaper but takes 1-1.5 hr commute each way. There is also an Airport Limousine Bus that departs from a hotel at Mihama American Village about 15 min walk away, fare is $8 per person each way & a bit quicker than public bus. Once you are in Naha it's a bit easier to get around as they do have some rail lines. To get to many of the main attractions of the island like Churaumi Aquarium, I recommend you book a day tour bus to go, if you try to go by public transport on your own it will take you about 3.5 hrs each way. That being said, the location in Chatan is still great. There is a Lawson and Family Mart in walking distance, as well as a full-blown supermarket inside Hamby Mall a block away. Lots of different restaurants and shops nearby. And Mihama American Village is only a 15 min walk with tons to explore. Araha Beach is bustling with activity all day and it seems like a popular place for the locals (lots of American Military families at the beach). Some of the front desk speak English and some don't, but all are very friendly :) I don't think they have free shuttle pickup but do take advantage of the free airport shuttle on the way back to t

It is more expensive but in this case you do get value for your money. After flying the whole night and touring whole day it was a delight to check into this modern, clean hotel.The room was large with a balcony overlooking the ocean and pools.The executive lounge has a very nice breakfast and It was perfect location is right by the sea, Easy walk to American Village for shopping and restaurants (but these are not primarily your typical Japanese style) and very central for day trips.I will definitely come back to Hilton Okinawa Chatan Resort for our next trip. It is a little bit of a walk to the bus stop, maybe 15 mins or so. The view was beautiful and the surrounding area has English friendly dining places (usually run by former US Marines). There is parking so I do recommend renting a car because it takes 2 hours by bus from Naha airport and to get around is difficult because it is so far away from the main area of Okinawa. It is problematic all over Okinawa but I will re-interate that the US military will have planes flying overhead in the morning so unless you are a heavy sleeper looking to sleep in, "Good Luck". The room was cosy, enjoyable however the layout of the room was a little funny. Almost seems as though the room should only have one big bed but they did well regardless. There is no power outlet near the only mirror in the room so either bring your own mirror or a power extention cable. For the price I paid and the view, definetly worth it. Keep in mind that the star system in Japan is different from Western countries (eg. no dining facilities besides your little kitchen so I had to go the the shops for food or the vending machine downstairs) so be sure to look up the star system to make sure you get what you want prior to booking anything in Japan.

My friend and I spent wonderful time in this hotel. It's a little far from the airport and other scenic spots, but u can take the bus at the airport that can help u to reach the hotel directly. If u want to visit the Ocean Park, u can take part in the one-day tour on the lobby, but u need book it in advance. The hotel attendants are very enthusiastic. They provided us with good service, when we stayed there. The breakfast and the hot spring are perfect. When u go to the resturant for breakfast, u can find western and Japanese traditional food there. My friend and I liked local Japanese traditional food very well. This hotel is very close to American Village. There are many small Japanese resturants. U would find that the price is not expensive and the taste is delicious. If u want to buy Japanese make-up and Japanese snacks, u also can find the store there. And the price is cheaper than other places. And there are also some exotic store and resturants there. Our room was very clean and faced to the sea. It was very beautiful in the night and morning. I think this hotel is very suitable for family to live there, there are a small monkey and a big sea turtle there. Children are always interested in these. There are some small stalls and a small supermarket. It's very comfortable. If u drive there, it's very easy to park there. If I go to Okinawa again, I would still choose this hotel.

The rooms were huge and welcoming. We were simply surprised by the size of the bed and the living area. The washroom was separated into three areas, the wash basin, the toilet and the bath. There was a big tub in the bath, something that I have never encountered in a hotel in Japan at this price. The hotel was also just minutes away from the Sunabe beach and the Sunabe seawall. Great views of surfers early in the morning. As you walk along the seawall, you will find great eats such as Hamaya Soba or Transit Cafe. There are free parking lots within the hotel. There are staff on standby and they may communicate rather fluently in English. Perhaps another special mention would be the free washers on L2. Hotel guests are free to use the two washers for their laundry, and the two dryers thereafter. Also on L2 is a massage chair, suitable for those who are tired after a long day of exploring the Chatan area. Highly recommended place to stay, even though it is in a quieter area.

I was at Premium Home ll for 11 days, and it is a excellent place to stay to see all of Okinawa. Last year I stayed 5 days at Miyako Hotel in Shuri and 5 days at Yamanouchi in front of kokusai doori, and both were not that good. Miyako is very expensive and and at night gets congested as there is a shrine nearby. Yamanouchi is next to Heiwa doori, but the hotel is old with small rooms, 1 small slow elevator for the whole hotel, and it is hot as they only turn the AC seasonally or when guest complain. Premium Home ll is walking distance to American Village, and you can park your car there as it is a public parking. The parking is 24hours, but they close late at night and open at 8am. They provide everything and the staff is friendly.

Although I haven't seen the staff (everything happened by email, including the check in), they have been very proactive and giving all the necessary information in some quick yet clear messages. The location is great, on the sea wall, walking distance from bars and restaurants, and there is a parking space underneath (parking in Chatan can be tricky). Will get back there if I return to Okinawa.

Mango Resort is in a great location with many options to eat located within a short walk. In a short 5-10 minute drive is anything else you could possible need. For any military members, there are 2 bases nearby. The room served its purpose, the only complaint was the pillows. They were very thin and uncomfortable so we went out and bought our own. The hotel staff was very responsive and helpful, thank you Hideka, handling any questions or issues very quickly.

Clean rooms, convenient location near restaurants. Checking in was slow, because I got to the wrong location. I had to ask passersby to help me locate where i can check in. The staff took quite long to attend to other customers, so i had to wait quite long to check in, my group was left it the other location where the Mr Kinjo sign was at and they got worried why i left for so long and did not come back to them. So they started looking for me. Nevertheless my stay was pleasant and I will recommend this hotel because of its cleanliness and good location near American Village and AEON Mall.

Location is superb, just next to american village in chatan. Staff is responsive and polite. There's even a Handy phone to use while staying there. It would be better to provide cloth to wipe the table with. And tissue could be placed in the toilet for convenience. Overall the stay is superb. Just buy detergent to use the washer and dryer provided. If the price is lower, it would be even better😁

First of all, the landlord is a handsome and polite man. Moreover, the house is full of fragrance and warm. When checking out, the landlord returned Okinawa special tea and asked us to call a taxi. All the arrangements are good. There is a convenience store next to my house. It's five minutes' walk to the American village. If I'll come back Next time, I will definitely stay at his house again. Then live upstairs, from his balcony can directly see the Ferris wheel.Thank you to the landlord for giving us such a wonderful experience.

Although against to title, I am not a suffer, but had a rally nice time staying here for a few nights as a solo traveler. I saw lots of people in wet suits in town. I could feel that if I owned a studio apartment here with this hotel. No lixriounes, but everything I needed to feel home, and comfortable were here. The bathroom was outdated, but clean and has plenty hot water with good water pressure. No driving was necessary to enjoy delicious tropical conctalis and food at Cafe Transit at few doors down. I would definitely recommend this hotel. I was alone almost all the time, but never felt lonely. The hotel provided me some nice quite solitude time.

Mr Kinjo provided a facility that was well maintained and presentable with all the amenities that a traveler needs in a Guesthouse with more amenities than a hotel charging higher costs. The owner provided great customer service and is currently planning to renovate his facilities to further satisfy future customers. I would definitely stay here again. MO Oshima 4/23/18

The hotel was perfect value for the room and space you get and excellent location by a beautiful beach. Only thing is I was really annoyed how much you have to pay for RENTING cutlery/any kitchen essentials - 1,000 YEN for 1 DAY?! I ended up going to Daiso and buying a plate and cutlery because this was cheaper!! Why offer a kitchen in the room if you can't provide essentials.. great otherwise but this really pissed me off

Highly recommend staying in seaside park house. The house is neat and cozy, only takes 3 minutes walk to the seaboard. Ering speaks English very well. With her advice you will know the first hand information of Okinawa, and with no problem finding the best restaurant in this area. My family had a nice stay and enjoyed the time we spending here. Hope can visit here soon in the near future.
