Dirty, Poorly Managed”
Location Location Locaton
8 years ago, this hotel was under international management and was the crown glory of this area. Ever since management changed 5 years ago, this property has been on a steady decline. I continue to stay in this property out of convenience and fond memories from the former days. Will not stay here again. Lobby - public bathroom smells - no need to ask staff, just follow your nose. Broken light fixture - 3 years now and still not fixed. Clueless employees. The only people working are at the front desk. No idea what all the other people are doing. Bell Hop only takes your luggage up to the front desk once you enter the lobby - which is a mere 10 meters away - you are on your own the rest of the way. cracked bathroom mirrors, cracked door windows, bathroom door that won't shut, dirty marble floors, warped wooden floors, wobbly desk with deep gash on the side, broken lamp, missing bulbs in lights, lack of hot water, low water pressure, poorly lit, holes in the wall that were patched over with card board + tape. Broken tiles. RFID card lock works differently from other rooms - staff failed to notify in advance. Changed rooms the following day. Room - warped wooden floor that were sloppily nailed back down with the nail protruding dangerously. Broken lighting fixture both upstairs and downstairs (just dangling), sloppily repaired bathroom tiles. Housekeeping only makes bed and change towels - does not sweep/mop/vacuum the floor; forgets to replace slippers. In room water dispenser - don't be fooled by the bottle, the water tastes like mud and is obviously from tap. Biggest joke: when requesting for a smoke-free room, the receptionist calls housekeeping to remove the ash tray from the room. Hotel does not reinforce smoking in no smoking areas, such as the elevator. Nor reinforces privacy and silence - local guests leave their doors open all the time, smoking, talking loudly, screaming, etc.
